Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
An inventory of every bad pre-1999 WCW PPV would be interesting.

The Steve Austin Show
The Jimmy Korderas interview is interesting. Especially interesting is hearing Steve talking about Over The Edge '99.

[1992-05-30-WWF-Superstars] Big Boss Man and Nailz
Bobby Heenan and Mr. Perfect allude to the Rodney King incident at WrestleMania VII too.

WWE Network... It's Here
It's even less like that show, because everyone more or less knows each other. It's a major part of it's watchability, the mix of friendship and rivalry.

Where does Sting fit in WWE today?
Sting/Shawn would have been a better program I think. They could play up how they never switched teams during the Monday Night Wars, and take it from there.

WWE Network... It's Here
I thought I'd hate it too, but it's pleasantly proved me wrong. It's not as wacky as I feared, although I do still anticipate some cringe-worthy stuff coming up.

WWE Network... It's Here
I disagree about Duggan. It's kind of cool seeing him and Piper buddying up together. Tony Atlas is the one that's bugging me though it's probably just over-compensation on his part.

Did they ever face each other?
Roddy Piper and Jim Duggan?

Where does Sting fit in WWE today?
You said it. Maybe he gets a job hosting WCW specials for the Network, but definitely he gets a spot in the HoF.

WWE Network... It's Here
He said in one of his shoots that he never liked announcing.

Shoots Review and Preview thread
Sean Oliver, in a very passive way, reins Roddy in a way none of the other shoots do. The "Timeline" format is perfect for that because it's a specific set of events.

Koko B. Ware
It's interesting WCW never tried picking him up in the mid-90's. He could have had some good matches with Benoit, Malenko, etc. He could fly around but he also had a bit of brawling style as well.

Shoots Review and Preview thread
Watching it now. He doesn't specifically accuse Pat of anything we might have thought of (and says as much), more like maybe (and I'm guessing here) he hit on Roddy back in* the day and he was turned down and never forgot it.

Shoots Review and Preview thread
He did one with Highspots (did the one with Flair for them too) too.

Legends House just got a million times more interesting.

Did they ever face each other?
I think Piper/Savage also happened before Roddy left in '87, most notably in the 6-mans leading up to WM 3 but also in some single matches too.

Did they ever face each other?
Here's one I want to know. Eddie Guerrero/Owen Hart?

WWE Network... It's Here
It's kind of warming to know that they mean something still to the guys, like The Rock's "Fruity Pebbles" promo with all his belts displayed.
-
Did they ever face each other?
Yeah but Rock/Shawn must have happened at least once in 97, especially when the NOD feuded with DX.

Did they ever face each other?
Vader and Savage were in a tag match against each other along with Hogan and Flair for Slamboree '95.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
I can buy HHH's crocodile tears, but Vince is another story. I can't recall him ever breaking down as he did like that on camera before. It wasn't a Barbara Walters thing but you could just tell that in his eyes he was feeling something pretty deep. The thing is though, I don't know what he's mourning more, Jim Hellwig/Warrior the man or the creation of his dying. Maybe that, and him driving along with Taker going to the hospital is a reminder of his own mortality in some strange way.

Did they ever face each other?
It may have been planned as I think Jake's leaving was rather sudden.

Matches you must love. But don't.
I wish I still had the magazine that came with ordering the PPV of WrestleMania X that had pictures of every match from the first 9. From a young age I knew there was a chasm of difference in quality between their publication and the Apter mags.

Did they ever face each other?
Didn't Jake work for awhile for Stu?
