  1. I both love that the artists got their revenge and Warrior doesn't tip-toe around what it looks like and why it happened.
  2. Probably just hated the music, which isn't too hard to understand.
  3. I'd like to believe they led Paul Heyman to believe that Taker would go over. His reaction is so ecstatic it's actually kind of heart-warming to watch.
  4. Royal Rumble '92 is rightly thought of as the best one ever, but I have a soft spot for the ones in 89-91, 93 and 94. Probably just out of nostalgia but I like how the matches were set up those years.
  5. Luger losing to Yokozuna was unexpected for me.
  6. The Hall of Fame ceremony is back online now. Any chance it was edited in the meantime?
  7. He's never come across as having a big ego about himself. I think the ying-yang reactions have almost made him humble in a way, because too much adulation would inflate anyone's head I'm sure. He dedicates himself more to pushing the WWE brand than he is himself. It will also be interesting to see if (more likely when) John's core fan base of kids switches over to DB. It could possibly open up the door to that heel turn the IWC has been drooling over for years. I can see it happen a bit more clearly, now that his spot is on shaky ground.

Maybe just something I'm starting to notice then, now that my attention to the current product has shot up recently.
  9. I think he was being honest, too. What will be interesting if he gives the same responses a year from now and if they are as sincere.
  10. That woman is what I like to describe as a word I'd never use in front of my mother.

I brought this up in the Warrior thread, but think a more detailed discussion would be appropriate here. Daniel Bryan's ascencion as their new made man tells me that WWE's audience is finally tired of guys who depend on their physique, if they haven't been already for some time. The question I have, is this something that the higher-ups are beginning to notice as well, considering how less toned HHH looked as he said he trained more for speed and stamina than strength.
  12. So Nancy Grace just inferred that Owen Hart died of drug abuse on her show tonight. Can his widow sue for libel?
  13. Is the audience really entertained by the physiques now? Maybe in the 80's it was a new way of doing things and a fresh approach to bring more muscled guys in, but now it's old hat.
  14. I'm 30 as well, and when I was a kid me and my brother watched and were engaged with those old tapes as much, if not more than we were the current product. It played a big part of me becoming a loyal WCW guy during the MNW, getting a 2nd chance to experience Hogan and all those guys live. I think as history plays out, WWE in the late 80's-early 90's will be remembered as fondly as the Rock-n-Wrestling period that came before.
  15. Oh but they should! In 16 years.
  16. Just finished watching it. Very well done, especially for the obvious minute amount of post-production time they had. Hope to see more stuff like this. Intimate, personal stuff and less scripted. WrestleMania VI will be on the live feed tonight for fairly obvious reasons.
  17. For what it's worth I apologize for using the term "right wing" when a more ambiguous phrase could have done a better job of conveying what I was thinking.
  18. "Originals"
  19. I was going to say something along those lines too. It could be affecting him personally too, since his program with the Warrior was the first real one in the company and what shot him up from being a mid-card villain to an attraction.
  20. The best thing WWE could do to honor Warrior's death is to make his wish of including a wing like the one he suggested in his speech.
  21. Someone on another board mentioned that Louisiana is below sea level and Arizona is way above it, and the sudden change of elevation may have screwed with his heart.
  22. Another thing to consider is that he lived in Arizona and was probably exposed to a lot of heat and humidity which may have exacerbated any bad condition he was already in.
  23. TMZ said he collapsed walking to his car, taken to a hospital and was dead on arrival.
  24. Jake Roberts just tweeted that he buried the hatched with him Saturday, and Kevin Nash said something to a similar effect too. What Daniel Bryan just posted is pretty moving, too.
