  1. Watching this now, it's a pretty good (and long, too) interview. The other guy (don't know his name) is asking deeper questions than RF and sounds genuinely interested than the generic questioning RF usually does. Bruce signed up recently on Twitter, and it sounds like he's writing a book. I bet that'll be even more deeper than what's being mined here.
  2. https://twitter.com/HEELWrestling/status/445717821327421440 WOW.
  3. Communication, through verbal skills and body language (selling particularly). That goes both ways, really.
  4. Mick wrote about this on his Facebook this weekend, since it's been 20 years since the match. He had some very nice words towards Leon, saying that he should absolutely be in the WWE HOF (to which I agree with whole-heartedly).
  5. FWIW, the live feed is showing Bash At The Beach '94 in an hour, which makes it the first WCW event to be shown on it.
  6. Watching Halloween Havoc '92. You can really hear the tension between Jesse Ventura and Jim Ross.
  7. Just watched the end of this a few days ago. The "Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Hey-Hey-Hey-Goodbye" stuff is always good. I really liked the shot of Austin at the end flailing his hands like "aw, fuck it" with his back to the ring.

Riley's totally going for a permanent announcing gig. Or at least he should be, from what I've seen he's pretty perfect considering what they're looking for.
  9. Foley also had a couple best-selling books, the first one making him a media darling for awhile (also combined with his role in Beyond The Mat). The closest thing Ric ever got to that was doing press for The Wrestler.
  10. They need to bring those shows back.
  11. Everyone talks about Xbox and PS3 but how are the web browsers doing in comparison? I've had some problems with Chrome, but when it works it works well enough.
  12. I question whether they needed a "WrestleMania moment" to solidify his position at all, really.
  13. I'm into collecting physical media too, but not for wrestling so much. But otherwise I totally get where you're coming from. This is an embarrassment of riches personally. It sure beats looking for old VHS rips on YouTube that might not be there tomorrow.
  14. I do, actually. It was practically identical to the program Train did with Scott Norton in '96, without the mentor role played by Simmons.
  15. I'd much rather have these than every Raw and Nitro.
  16. Amazon. Both the WCCW and AWA discs are around 5 bucks currently there.
  17. Are they still offering the 1-week trial?
  18. I'm guessing it was whenever they stopped those news and interview segments that were hosted by Sean Mooney, Alfred Hayes, Monsoon, and Pettengill (ugh).
  19. They do run quite cheap on Amazon, even out of print stuff.
  20. One difference between now and then I like is that they're vague about who's in, where before every week on Superstars or Challenge (later Raw) they'd announce several of the entrants leading up to right before the show. The way it's done now allows for more surprises, again where before sometimes they'd announce people who'd wind up no-showing for whatever reason.
  21. Plus a lot of the ones that are over 3 hours (and with WrestleMania, that's a lot) they are two-sided discs which aren't too fun to mess around with.
  22. Watching a Best of Raw from April '99 and Cornette is doing commentary instead of Lawler. I forget, is that when he was filming Man On The Moon?
  23. Would love to see Liev Schreiber do something for WWE.
