  1. This is exactly the kind of match I was hoping would show up when the NWA on demand service was pitched. Two absolute legends, guys with limited footage in their primes having an old school 35 minute 2/3 fall World title match. I am pretty sure there is no other footage of Andre wrestling for the NWA title, and I am also pretty sure this is the only version of this match up we have. First fall was pretty interesting with Andre really doing some nasty arm work, lots of twisting and pulling, a nasty looking hammerlock submission, the Anderson brother hammerlock body slam ect.. Harley gets dominated most of the first fall, but is able to get Andre to the floor and hit a nasty looking bodyslam on the concrete for the countout. Second fall had Harley working a bear hug for some reason, Andre sold it well, but it is a conceptually odd move to use on a guy that much bigger then you. Andre makes a big comeback, hits a butterfly suplex and a big splash for the pin. Third fall is pretty short and has Harley bumped around the ring before deciding to bail to the floor, where he grabs Andre's legs so they both get counted out. Sort of a clever finish by Harley, although also sort of bullshit. Still a great match, cool chance to see both guys younger and spry, and neat to watch Andre work this kind of NWA title match.

His match with Chris Dickinson from JAPW this year was my favorite Indy match of the year, and that would be a guy he carried. I am a big Monsta Mack fan, but the Ki singles from the early 2000s was worlds above any other singles match Mack had. Has a really great aura which is missing from most indy guys, he will be on my list for sure

  4. There is a Butch Reed v. Landell and Kerry v. Gino match uploaded already
  5. That is the same gimmick they ran in Von Erichs v. Hart/Murdoch/White Knight. I really enjoyed it there, I am going to have to check out that match
  6. Reviewed Lothario v. Gino, the Von Erich six man and Dusty v. Lewin. Loved them all, although the six man cuts off before the finish Price tag reviews
  7. I think it is more then that, I have watched five matches so far, pretty sure Harley Race v. Andre Wahoo McDaniel v. Terry Funk/Gino Hernandez Bull Ramos v. Nick Kozak Guerreros v. Dr. Death/DiBiase Bandelleros Death Match Are all new, lots more stuff on there which I am pretty sure is previously unavailable, I am guessing it is closer to 50/50 new stuff and previously out there stuff.
  8. Put up my review of Harley v. Andre and the Bandaleros on a poll Guerreros v. DiBiase/Dr. Death match NWA Classics Day 2

  10. Looks like by looking at the DVDVR Mid-South set, the 7/12 match was the match on Monsters of the Mat, so I guess the rematch was previously unavailable
  11. It looks like the really old stuff on here, the Waldo Von Erich match and the Danny McShane match are just narrated still photos rather then actually video footage, which is a bummer.
  12. Watched three matches and wrote up a review for Segunda Caida. 24/7 Review Going to be assigning every match a dollar value to see if it is worth the ten bucks.
  13. Figure we should have a catch all thread for folks who got this and are up late watching it all.

  15. We reviewed 18th through 14 on SC, the ones I thought were good were Heidei Lovelace v. Jordynne Grace 2/8/14 http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2014/12/iwa-mid-south-top-18-matches-18-heidi.html Necro Butcher v. Toby Klien 8/1/03 http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2014/12/iwa-mid-south-top-18-matches-15-necro.html Danny Cannon v. Kongo Kong 5/1/14 http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2014/12/iwa-mid-south-top-18-matches-14-kongo.html
  16. Oh good, this was weirdly unsearchable, I started reviewing these and couldn't find them anymore
  17. I am watching Basketball, but Eric is doing a live blog SC
  18. He already has more great singles matches then someone like Micheal Hayes, and the Shield probably had as many great on tape matches as the Freebirds. He is still early in his career and I understand why people are hesitant, but there are going to be lots of guys on peoples ballots who haven't come close to his match output
  19. Nominating Roman Reigns. Plenty of SC reviews of Shield matches. Considering how many awesome matches he has been apart of in the last three years, including both my 2014 and 2015 MOTY's he is a stronger candidate then a ton of guys already nominated
  20. IWA-MS put up Necro v. Joe for the 10th anniversary of that match
  21. Phil Schneider replied to Grimmas's topic in Nominees
It is a footage issue for sure, I remember Eric was talking to the Lucha VaVoom people and they apparently have tapes of all of their shows just sitting in boxes, if that stuff ever got released I imagine we would have plenty of Cassandro to consider
  22. I have talked about it before, but Tenryu's ability to have competitive matches with non-stars may be one of the most impressive things about him. Even when guys like Flair would do it, it was still all about the greatness of Flair's performance. Here Tenryu is really making Shiro Koshinaka a star, he isn't "guy carried by Flair" he is "guy who is hanging and banging with Tenryu". Brutal match, when Tenryu lays in a beating, he lays in a beating. Still Koshinaka looks less like an overwhelmed guy out of his league, then Rocky Balboa battling back and taking it to Apollo Creed. When Koshinaka hits that jaw jacking dropkick the places comes unglued. Great, great match and another piece of evidence for the Tenryu as GOAT case.
  23. Watched the March JAPW show and reviewed it on Segunda Caida http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2015/06/japw-awaken-3212015.html -Pretty fun show with a great main event. Low-Ki v. Chris Dickinson. Dickinson is my new favorite scuzzbag heel, he feels like an ex highschool linebacker who hung around his town to deal steroids and statutorily rape 15 year olds.

I think there must have been some weird lucha magazine politics going on with that match being named MOTY. I had similar thoughts about it when I watched it, and I ride pretty hard for both guys. Wouldn't have that in a career top 20 for either guy
  25. Segunda Cadia live blog over here http://segundacaida.blogspot.com/2015/05/wwe-elimination-chamber-live-blog.html
