Vince McMahon's Amusement
His match with Sting at Starrcade 94 is really good. He also had a very good match with Macho Man on the Saturday Night show. I remember reading originally Vince was bringing him back as Earthquake in 98 to take on Austin, but thought he was too skinny at that point. So they put him in the Golga mask. I wish Vince had put together a Murderer's Row of fat monsters from the past. That would of been a fun few weeks.

Heel Show vs Face Punk will be great. Last time Punk was the heel and he does not have the offense to work heel against Big Show.

Yeah but in a Republican Primary that can only help.

Anybody who thinks WWE is pornographic must be really sheltered.

Vince McMahon's Amusement
The thing with Vince that stuck out to me was him watching a match and being impressed by some hold. He said "Its nice to see a wrestling move once in awhile."

Sting/Rude was the featured match.

No it doesn't. The gear in 01 looked a million times better. Kane is exactly as good as he wants to be. If he feels like trying he is a very good wrestler. But if he wants to dog it, nobody can get anything out of him.

Not really. Okay, I give you that. He looks the same as he did 12 years ago actually. Again not really.

The November 91 Clash had the big Sting vs Rude U.S title match. I think that is why the number was so much bigger.

Herd was gone after GAB 91. Steamboat returned in November and Rude in October. Hearing Steamboat talk, Herd being gone is the reason he came back.

88 would be his physical prime, but I don't think he got it together til 1991. I would define his prime as 91 to 96.

I think Sting was vital to the success of the nWo angle. He really was the heart of WCW and the nWo sending him away early, really mattered. Without Sting at that point there really was no home team. Guys like Savage were WWF first and foremost. Luger, The Steiners and even Flair (to a lesser extent) had left WCW for years at a time. Without Sting as a true end game to take down the nWo, I don't think it would have worked. I think it would of ran out of steam long before Starrcade 97. Before that, I do think Sting was a TV draw for WCW and to the Turner people that is what mattered.

Brock is back
It has been a month and you have still not watched the match.

Brock is back
Yeah better to lose to a part timer who is leaving soon.

Ric Flair (sigh)
And what happens when TNA reveals in court how they pay guys in twigs and berries? WWE can take anyone from TNA they want. They just need to make the right offer. Only reason they never got Sting was he did not want a full schedule.

And to think ROH booked a show at the Apollo Theater.

Size matters?
I never bought Spike's giant killer gimmick. When he beat Bam Bam it was fine. After that it was done so sloppily, "oh look he kicked the guy in the nuts and hit the acid drop." and they did the same match for months. It always looked like that old Ren and Stimpy cartoon when they were wrestlers. "Its time to lose the match." Doing it to Big Guido and Big Sal is fine. Then they had him do it to guys like One Man Gang and they still did it in under a minute, when they could of gotten a good brawl out of them. Gang still could of lost, but not in such a stupid manner.

Hulk Hogan's best matches
I think my number five Hogan match is vs Lanny Poffo on SNME. A great performance from Hulk, because it all came down to him knowing exactly how much offense to give a guy like Poffo. Who was so low on the card, it was a tricky thing to pull off. Also the promo "Genius I'm going to ask you the question that Einstein, Shakespeare and Socrates could never answer. WHATS CHA GONNA DO WHEN HULKAMANIA RUNS WILD ON YOU!!!"

Hulk Hogan's best matches
How do you figure? You could say that about every main event act ever. "If Austin is so good, why did he need Vince as the guest referee?" "If Misawa was so great why did he need so many moves?" "Why does Rey Mysterio need to jump off the top rope?" The answer is Hogan did not need them. It was a bonus.

Revisionism? I've always been like this. Prime Hogan is the best ever.

Hulk Hogan's best matches
The Bossman MSG cage match Vader Superbrawl V Randy Savage Boston Garden - May 24, 1986, it was a great performance from both of them. Best match they ever had together. Kamala Madison Square Garden - January 19, 1987 Kamala had great chemistry with Hogan. They even had a good match in 1995. I will have to give a fifth one some thought. EDIT: Hogan and Angle had a pretty good rematch on Smackdown in 2002. For some reason 24/7 played it more than once. The Judgment Day match with Taker is good all things considered.

Better In-Ring Performer - Hogan or Cena?
I really like the Backlund match but it felt like the "Bob" show with Hulk Hogan than a Hogan match. There is a good reason for that since Hogan was so green. Watching the Big Show dvd and I think the first Hogan/Giant match was a great Hogan performance. Not a good match, but Hogan did a great job working with a guy as green as Giant was. Other guys could have made a more entertaining match, but I think Hogan did a great job getting him over as a monster. Its hard to think of top five Hogan matches, mainly because I think of it more as Kamala series Savage series Bossman series Bundy series So would need to go in and pick out the best of those.
