Current WWE
I think putting his big win after taker dropping the streak and then booking him beneath evolution v shield in a match against Kane of all people is a really unfortunate way to kick start a reign we all want to be meaningful

The funny thing is that Punk's status in the company really WASN'T a big deal, or at least not in the sense it could have and should have been. On Bryan as a Benoit type, I don't think the WWE sees him that way, but I also think the way his time as champ has been booked so far has been less than ideal.

I agree that Bryan has no good opponent, which is why it was so stupid for Wyatt to lose to Cena at Mania

I don't think there is any question that the payoff is going to be the young beating the old, but that's no reason to pretend Bryan v. Kane is a good first program for Bryan. I realize it would require you saying something critical of modern WWE to acknowledge this point and that's not going to happen, but I can't imagine anyone is really hyped for a Bryan v. Kane ppv match at this stage. Hopefully Meltzer is right and they are going to do that on Raw, but I doubt it.

I'm stunned Johnny Sorrow is defending WWE booking

I have to laugh at Bryan's first opponent as champion being Kane of all people, and an HHH-led Evolution returning to feud with The Shield it what will almost assuredly have to be the marquee match on that show.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
There were people in production who knew.

Matches you love, but others don't
I like pretty much every Rufus Jones match I've ever seen.

Current WWE
I love Reigns, but I also admit that he benefits from low expectations. I figure he would be nothing, and he's turned out to be at minimum a very good trios worker. I think what really carries him is his in ring charisma. In fact he's not unlike Warrior, in that there are times where he probably does things that are sloppy, iffy, or even bad, but it doesn't bother me as much because he comes across as someone who completely believes in himself. In that weird Sheild v. The World tag from Raw last year there was a moment where he faced off with Titus O'Neil of all people and it got the "oh shit, things just got real!" reaction from the crowd, and while I think Titus has an underrated presence to him, I can't imagine any other wrestler on the roster getting that sort of a rise out of the crowd as a result of facing off with Titus O'Neil. I honestly have no clue how he will turn out as a singles guy, but I would note that I thought portions of that Punk match were really good, and I thought Reigns match v. DB from last year was better than Rollins or Ambrose fwiw.

Absolutely agree with that.

Triple H just announced that the Ultimate Warrior passed away
Probably the strangest/saddest wrestling story in the last several years. I am going to try to avoid speculation about the cause of death for now, but I would note that he did not look healthy at all at the HoF or on Raw.

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
We waited all this time for you, and that's all you are giving us Sorrow? Come on!

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
As a whole I don't know how to feel about the show. Part of the problem was that my feed was really bad at points (the very end of the HHH v. Bryan match, the first half of the battle royal, parts of Wyatt v. Cena), and part of it was that I didn't like the way the show was laid out. Hopefully I'll be able to formulate some coherent thoughts later.

I tried to tell you guys

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
I wouldn't be surprised if that is a bullshit leak by the WWE. On the other hand Brock beating Taker actually does make sense if the plan is to build to Brock v. Bryan at Summerslam as some have suggested

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
Meltzer suggested that The Shield v. Authority end of the show prediction I made on the P2B podcast may become a reality. Also I got a bizarre text from one of my usual "sources" (I hate the term, but don't know what else to use) that there will be a surprise finish to the Taker v. Brock match....

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
Tentative plan is to set up the Xbox, see how it works, but have the computer/ipad on hand at all times.

WrestleMania 30 (Yes! yes! yes! Yes!)
How is Xbox working as a platform for the network at this point? Can't decide whether or not to bother with it, or just watch on my computer.

Voices of Wrestling "Invasion Attack" Review
Haven't seen the show, and there is a chance I won't get to it for a while. Reading the review of Joe and others I'm worried that it's going to be a "preaching to the choir" NJPW event which is probably exactly the sort of show they should be running, but not the sort of show I want to see. I am interested to see what the show drew.

Linda's depiction of Warrior as a hypersexualized lunatic was outstanding.

Dave Meltzer stuff
My advice is if you want something like that represented in a massive bio, you should email him ahead of time and suggest it. Before you say that's impractical, I would note that Dave has used a bunch of items I've seen him in the last year, including a big chunk on Mad Dog Vachon that I sent him for inclusion/emphasis in the Mad Dog bio.
