WWE Network... It's Here
I think we can say with close 100% certainty it is WWC. The real question is what did they purchase in that package

Free TV Match of the Week 2014: Discussion Thread
I voted for Cesaro v. Zayn, but I'm not sure "Free TV" is the right way to describe the WWE Network.

WWE Hall of Fame 2014
Hopefully Hercules Ayala doesn't take this opportunity to attack mrs. Colon again

Current WWE
I think there is a real possibility that everyone just gets buried in the battle royal. They are presenting it as a big deal so it has to have some "names." Would not be the least bit surprised if we had a woman's match, Usos v. NAO and the Battle Royal as the only other three matches on the show besides the four that are currently announced. I hope note because on paper that is a shit show of a card to my tastes, but I have no faith in them after the last couple of mania's

Dave Meltzer stuff
Was Johnson there? I had two other people tell me Hogan was seen in the building, neither of whom were there.

Dave Meltzer stuff
I generally agree with this. I actually hated the angle in real time and was somewhat surprised to see that people who I agree with nine out of ten times loved it. The only things I really liked about it were Steph's performance, and the end result (and even there I don't have near the love for that most do because I hate triple threats, and it's to the point where nothing on the announced card looks all that interesting to me). Looking back I can see why others liked it, but to me it felt like the most stage managed version of a "we are taking over" wrestling angle I've ever seen.

There's a lot of truth in what you say, Kris. But going on the year 2014 alone Mike has gone through quite the dry spell when it comes to scoops and as incorrect as incorrect came be about Hogan being at the Network launch deal. Hogan was originally supposed to be at the Network launch and I was told that people in the company were told to leak his presence. Not that I am the most well connected person on Earth, but in this day and age it's shockingly easy for a long time fan to get some degree of scoopz, including stuff that wasn't reported by any of the main sites.

What types of wrestling fans exist?
I haven't gone to a house show in almost ten years which wasn't overflowing with people talking about various things they read on the internet both in the line to get in, in the concourse before the event, and in the stands with me.
-
What types of wrestling fans exist?
I'm not saying they don't exist, but literally every single person I talk to about wrestling at this point - and I talk to quite a few - go out of there way to talk about things they read online about X, Y or Z. A lot of these people are really "casuals" in the sense that they only watch wrestling here and there, only tune in for certain stars or randomly, et. But to a man they all want to tell me what they read on Rajah or Wrestlezone

What types of wrestling fans exist?
I have been making an argument very similar to this for the last several years

Tharpe being awesome? Honestly the guy is one of my favorite things in New Japan. Very old schoolish, over the top heel manager in both look, antics and demeanor

TNA Lockdown
I loved the fact that there were seventeen thousand guys in the cage and none of them caught the guy jumping off at them in a giant shiny mask. Shouldn't be surprised that the coward Davey Richards did the selfish thing there, but still an unbelievable moment. And man that finish was something special. How anyone can pretend TNA isn't the worst company in history I don't know

TNA Lockdown
Joe and Magnus actually had a shockingly good match, ruined by an unbelievably shitty TNA "fuck you" finish with the unmasked Abyss helping Magnus win. Classic TNA

TNA Lockdown
It's entering a whole new level of that now that they are featuring all these random as fuck young/indie guys in bizarre gimmicks. Gail Kim v. Madison Rayne might have been okay if I cared about either one of them. They took some crazy bumps.

TNA Lockdown
Gunner and James Storm are now having a Last Man Standing match in the cage. Match is not unwatchable, but it's sad to see James Storm at this point. He looks like he's given up, though he still ties in the ring. So far this is the third best Gunner cage match I've seen in the last twelve months Actually match just ended and it did have a good finish.

What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
In WCW it may have been somewhat unusual. Generally speaking not unusual at all before 92.

TNA Lockdown
Is anyone else watching this pile of shit? I missed the opener with Muta which is too bad because it sounded like it might have been fun. Tuned in and a guy with a rapist gimmick was attempting suicide while Ken Anderson mocked him. Then they had a match with a finish that was bizarre even by TNA standards. Then EC3 came out and made an open challenge and Bobby Lashley of all people came out but they didn't have a match, Lashley just hit two moves and Carter left. No fucking clue what that was supposed to mean. Now Manic is wrestling Tigre Uno, and a minute into the match the cage door comes open and they just sort of have to look at. Whole show has had the feel of one of those 2000 WCW ppvs.

What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
Match was non-title as I recall, and I can think of a bunch of historic instances when the world title match was absoltuely not the clear main event.

Do you hide being a pro wrestling fan?
It annoys me far more when I am reading and someone wants to give me their shitty uninformed opinion on the Magna Carta or something else of that ilk.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
I was at a house show where Rey didn't even wrestle and the masks sold out in 30 mins. They also sold out at mania 27

Daniel Bryan...Danielson
It's possible, but I wouldn't put money on Bryan having much more ring time than Cesaro. A lot of his early work was in trios where he was in the ring for maybe five or six minutes total (going off of memory) and Cesaro was in a lot of inordinately long matches for C shows like Main Event and NXT
-
What was the "main event" of Beach Blast 92?
The best part about that is that the show didn't actually sellout, as close to a quarter of the building was papered.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
No way in hell Punk has made more merchandise money than Rey.

Punk Walks Out of WWE
The botching of Summer of Punk II has to be one of the biggest missed opportunities since the last boom. I agree that SES and the Punk/Hardy aftermath were botched badly as well, but the difference is that the last fuck up really seemed to kill Punk's will to be a consistent performer. I really don't think he was ever the same after that.
