[2000-07-06-IWRG] Super Crazy & Mosco De La Merced & Dr Cerebro & Bombero Infernal vs Ciclon Ramirez & El Dandy & Super Parka & Kato Kung Lee
A very crowded match with guys not knowing what to do but turned out alright. Good to see Mosco before he got fat and Super Crazy holding this together. Ciclon wears red which is weird but he pulls out his bullet tope in the 3rd so all is forgiven. Dandy continues to be all slaps but he does one of the best in the business so it's not bad. Fun IWRG match which leads to feuds in several different directions.

Jerry Lawler
Here's some Lawler promos I like: https://youtu.be/By0NG0Vf-RI Lawler doing a promo about company champions and how he's the real world champion. He did a lot of these after he won the AWA title but I thought this was one of the better ones https://youtu.be/5Z001NkTwgk Lawler during the whole Cyber Punks vs Lawler feud was great. This is the lead up to the mask match and Lawler is great as a heel here.

[2000-07-06-IWRG] Mr Niebla vs Scorpio Jr
Gotta agree that this wasn't too exciting. Niebla is really hit and miss and while Scorpio tries hard, it depends on who he's in there with on if the match is going to be good or not. Third fall wasn't that bad when Niebla hits the dive and they trade holds back and forth. The finish was really flat. OK title match.

[2000-07-04-CMLL] Virus & Valentin Mayo & Dr O'Borman Jr vs Ricky Marvin & Neutron & Super Kendo
I had no idea Kendo was in CMLL in 2000? That's cool as I enjoyed him in UWF Hamada back in the day. This was a fun undercard match. The Virus/Ricky section was nice and Ricky's dive at the end of the first was crazy. Kendo almost injures himself with his dive in the third. The rudos were good and I always enjoy punch drunk lucha so Valentin's antics entertained me.

[2000-06-25-Monterrey] El Dandy & Zumbido & Apolo Dantes & Pierroth Jr vs Antifaz del Norte & Tarzan Boy & Mr Niebla & Lizmark Jr
Pierroth was the ultimate rudo here hitting people with a bucket and bitting Tarzan's boot. He's so great in these setting. Dandy spent most of the match slapping people in the face. I agree with OJ about Tarzan. He's a different person here compared to Arena Mexico. I guess it's because people actually like him in Monterrey. Fun match.

[2000-06-25-Michinoku Pro] Tiger Mask vs Pentagon
Pentagon is such a weird fit in Michinoku pro. I know he lasted for a while and I think he was married to one of the Hamada sisters. He can't get anything exciting out of Tiger Mask here but tries with the mask ripping. The finish is very abrupt. Not very good.

[2000-06-25-CZW-They Said It Couldn't Be Done] Ric Blade vs Trent Acid
You know I expect crowds to be homophobic during this era but this takes the cake. They spend like 15 minutes dropping every gay slur possible at the Backseat Boys and especially Kashmere. They didn't play it up but it had to bother them. The match was typical Ric blade. Some cool stuff and the rest is botched stuff. Shorty almost kills herself with a botched huracarana from the top. Did she really break her neck? If so, why did they do the table spot afterwards? The trailer spot looked back but I think Blade hit him a little bit but took most of the bump on the ground. Incredibly stupid and so Ric blade.

[2000-06-24-TWA-Total Impact TV] American Dragon vs Spanky (Loser Leaves Town Texas Death Cage)
I thought this was a good blowoff feud in the territory. Both guys take insane bumps into the cage including Dragon falling right on his neck after a top rope german suplex. The finish was good in they wanted both guys to lose but shitty for the local crowd that wanted to see a winner. It reminds me when they do it in Mexico for hair matches and both guys lose their hair. It's rare to see though.

[2000-06-24-OVW-TV] Damaja & Nick Dinsmore vs Rob Conway & Mr Black
So with Cornette going on and on about how Dinsmore and Damaja should be going to WWF, why should anyone care about them beating Bolin's group? Nice to see no ref BS but this is just Cornette yelling and bad wrestling from Mr. Black.

[2000-06-17-Stampede Wrestling] T.J. Wilson vs Harry Smith
Good lord Maruo was doing the "mama Mia" thing in 2000. Given how young these guys were, this was really good. Harry was green and didn't sell much but he hit his moves cleanly. TJ looked like a season pro and held it together nicely. Hell, he did a better job than a lot of the indie darlings in 2000. This broke down when the run ins started but it was good while it lasted. Always love Bad News and his "Sharecroppers" commentary.

[2000-06-17-MPPW-TV] Wolfie D vs Blade Boudreaux
Wolfie cuts a good promo on Randy Hales before the match. I'm not sure why he needs Brandon but they work good together. Blade is pretty bad so Wolfie is on his own making this match presentable. Finish is the usual BS with Randy for a second week in a row playing second ref. That's getting tiring on the indies.

[2000-06-17-MPPW-TV] Derrick King vs Alan Steel
Derrick King has grown a lot from 1998 when he was pretending to be HBK and falling in love with Miss texas. OK match as Steel is competent compared to others in Memphis and Derrick King is awesome. I'm guessing they were going to do a Steel heel turn but I don't think that happens. Corey Maclin ragging on Derrick about getting married and Derrick looking like he wanted to deck him for doing so was funny.

[2000-05-Portland-Total Chaos TV] Buddy Wayne vs Bryan Alvarez
Basic student vs teacher match but I was surprised Super Chico did the swanton and pretty good too. Crowd popped for it which is something that wasn't happening much during these Portland matches. Also, the lighting was horrible as it was so dark you couldn't see them when they went into the corner.

[2000-05-Portland-Total Chaos TV] Bart Sawyer vs Billy Two Eagles (Hair vs Hair)
So did the ref overturn the decision and see the chain? i don't think they mention it. This was pretty bad as Eagles is a awful babyface and the crowd seems to behind Sawyer. Eagles basically turns heel at the end even though Don Coss doesn't mention it.

[2000-04-Portland-Total Chaos TV] Bart Sawyer vs Brian Cox
This was filmed weird as at one moment Bart Sawyer is on the outside and the next he's in the ring and then again he's backstage. Then they use the same crowd shots over and over again. It's like AAA. Standard brawl with trash cans and unprotected chair shots to the head. It's weird to hear Don Coss doing commentary in 2000. Reminds me of Lance Russell in MCW.

[2000-04-09-AJPW-Championship Carnival] Takao Omori vs Steve Williams
I liked how Doc was all crazy during his entrance and then Omori goes all Hansen on him to stop that. This really felt like Doc's last stand and he went out on a high note even though he lost. That backdrop driver after the match looks brutal. Like 1993 doc driver brutal.

[2000-03-24-CMLL] Atlantis & Perro Aguayo & Rayo de Jalisco Jr vs Villano III & Shocker & Bestia Salvaje
I didn't realise the start of Villano's turn started so soon. He and atlantis do some good match wrestling to start. Perro must really like working with Bestia. I guess that's cause bestia almost always made him look good. OK match that continues to set up matches later.

[2000-03-03-NJPW] Jushin Liger & Gran Hamada & El Samurai & Dr Wagner Jr & Kendo Kashin vs Shinjiro Otani & Koji Kanemoto & Negro Casas & Perro Aguayo & Perro Aguayo Jr
This was a really fun match. Good to see Rudo Perro sr. one more time teaming with his sun and Kanemoto. Interesting to see Jr. in this match considering he was in AAA teaming with CMLL guys. Perro going after Hamada ruled, Wagner ruled doing his taunts and Otani directing traffice was nice too.

[2000-06-24-NWA Wildside] Rock & Roll Express vs Bad Attitude (2/3 falls)
OK match but certainly not as good as the other Rock N Roll Express match. It's kinda sad to see Steve Martin as generic heel GM but he's better than Alkieholicand Randy Hales. Robert Gibson didn't look too good in this especially during the finish of the match. Chad is right about the heels. They always looked too powerful compared to the babyfaces.
