[1999-11-29-WCW-Nitro] Pyro and Ballyhoo - Part 2
Good god I can't believe this was all on one show. Felt like 20 minutes. Highlights include Juvi humping Lelani Kai, The Nitro girls somehow make a food fight boring, Mean Gene dancing in a nightclub with a tie on his head. Maestro in a piano. Madusa goes to first base with Evan but will only go further if he gives her a title shot at Starcade. Piper attacks Hall and Nash and the keystone cops break it up but keep laughing. This might be Russo at his peak of awful acting segments.

[1999-11-29-WWF-Raw] Stephanie McMahon and Test Wedding
This is probably one of the best wedding angles in history. Right up there with Lita/Kane and Bruce Bruce doing Teddy Long's wedding. Felt like the end of the attitude era and the start of the Mcmahon-Helmsley era. I forgot that Jeff Hardy, Christian, Edge and D-Lo brown of all people were the groomsmen of the wedding. HHH was damn near perfect in this. Especially when he called Vince "dad". Great stuff.

Modern Indie Wrestling
Went to a local indie tonight called Vintage Wrestling. They haven't run a show since May but I like going to the shows cause it's not booked by Chaysen Rance and his stooges and they usually bring in some good talent. Tonight's show had the Dark City Fight Club, Maxwell Chicago(one of my fav indie guys), Sam Shaw and WWC Universal champion Mr. 450. Shaw wrestled early 00's Florida indie superstar Bruce Santee. He's a regular for the group who recently got in legal trouble I think. Anways, this was sort of a comedy match and the first half was Santee trying to get Shaw to break character.. It worked for the most part. Second half was Santee trying to chop Sam because Santee is famous for his chops I guess. That what Michael Tarver who was sitting near me said. Finish was Shaw pulling the ref in front of a Santee chop and Santee got Dq'd. One of the better matches of the night. Maxwell Chicago wrestled Afroboy for the Vintage Internet/TV title. This group used to have local paid programming tv on the public access channel here but I don't think it's aired in months. Afroboy is what you think, a guy doing a black exploitation gimmick. Maxwell was the heel here which I've never seen him do but he was good at it. He even did the Tiger Driver 91 which floored me. And afroboy kicked out of it cause INDIE wrestling. Rest of the show was fine. 450 faced this guy named Rome who broke his ankle about a minute into the match after taking a 450 dive and trying to get out of the way of a child. This guy was like 300 pounds too. He tried to tough it out but just didn't work. Dark City Fight club wrestled Beast Mode( Biff Slater and Don Maximo, the lost Maximo cousin) in an ok match with a Dusty finish. Main event was Simon Sez who does a fake Simon diamond gimmick and is the promoter vs Milo Beasley who's been around forever and does a homeless gimmick. Fun all over the gym brawl with charishots to the head and table shots. Nothing better than live wrestling.

Contemporary lucha
I guess everyone was watching the ROH ppv but I caught most of the CMLL ppv tonight since CMLL forgot to put the stream behind a paywall and relased it for free. I missed the opener but the Maximo match was good and the main event was must see. Sombra's act is so great and Atlantis had the match of his life. Rush interfered in the first fall and again for the finish but that didn't hurt it. The finish was sorta shocking but I figured it would go down that way. The atmosphere was insane with Sombra's dad and mom crying and the crowd going nuts for Atlantis. There is nothing like a main event lucha mask match.

[1999-11-25-WWF-Smackdown] HHH & X-Pac vs Test & Shane McMahon
Vince was barred from going 50 feet near DX. At least that's what the announcers said. Always love a food fight. Highlights include Edge stealing the turkey, Farooq hitting Hardcore Holly with a drumbstick and Lawler getting hit by a pie while Mae Young is doing the DX crotch chop.

[1999-11-25-DDT] Asian Cougar & Super Rider & Yuhi Nihshio vs Takeshi Sasaki & Tommoseke Toba & Ni Hao
Well this wasn't what I was expecting. When I think DDT, I think comedy promotion with a ladder as champion and homoerotic behavior. I liked the guy with the boxing gloves. I beileve he's still around DDT. Haven't heard the name Asian Cougar in years. Not bad for a indie and cool to see on a yearbook like this.

[1999-11-23-FMW-10th Anniversary Show] Hayabusa vs H
The work was good here but this was all about HBK. The ref short shorts and him superkicking Hayabusa that never went anywhere. Kinda felt bad for H and Hayabusa cause they were overshadowed by HBK. Didn't this lead to Bryan Danielson and Lance Cade appearing in FMW one time? I love how HBK leaves and then the photographers run to the ring for the post match promos.

[1999-11-23-FMW-10th Anniversary Show] Masato Tanaka vs Kodo Fuyuki (Loser Leaves FMW Electric Cage)
I didn't like this as much as Loss. The teases for the explsions were nice and I liked the Fuyuki taking part the ring thing. However, the cage was pretty much useless. When the explosions happened, they didn't even sell it that long. And no blood. Like what is that? Fuyuki is awesome though. He's like a Japanese Eric Embry.
