[1999-11-08-WCW-Nitro] Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Goldberg
End of Hall vs Lash Leroux. Hall standing on the ropes and shrugging his shoulders says it all. I like how it's all quiet and you hear someone chanting "Goldberg".

[1999-11-08-WCW-Nitro] Seven debuts
How much money did they waste on that entrance and those vignettes just to throw it all away? I mean I know it was a stupid gimmick but why even do it in the first place if you are just going to bury it. It's funny that Dustin buries Goldust only to comeback as goldust less than 2 years later.

[1999-11-08-BJW] Tomoaki Honma & Ryuji Yamakawa vs Shadow WX & The Winger (Death)
Shadow WX powerbombing Homna from ring through a barbwire board and Homna landing on his head is one of the sickest bumps i've ever seen. Homna gets busted open right away and the blood is flowing like a facet. Then to top that, Winger does a senton from the baclony while on fire!!! And the fire doesn't go out right away. Insane bumps in this match. I liked it more than Loss I think.

Thoughts on various lucha matches
Octagon/Alebrije/Hator/Perro Aguayo Jr. vs. Sangre Chicana/El Texano/Jaque Mate/Mocho Cota 8/16/1999 This was just wild. Not a particularly good match as it was 1999 AAA and only went about 10 minutes but the heat was insane. The big feud was Octagon/Mate as Mate was about ready to drop his mask. It was weird seeing Hator as a Latin Lover type babyface who Texano destroyed. Cota was great as usual with his rudo antics. The main event of this show was a cage match with Jerry Estrada/Sanguinario vs Panther/Latin Lover and this being Monterrey, the crowd was throwing drinks at the rudos. Especially Texano. Cujie's antics with Cota was funny.

ROH vs. NXT
Piped in might be the wrong word but it does seems like sometimes they turn the announcers down and raise the crowd mic volume. Shoe, I usually just go to Evolve shows cause they run Orlando and I like to see guys like Hero,Thatcher and Rich Swann live. I've never bought a IPPV from them cause I don't trust them. I was at the show that had a 90 minute intermission because the building shut the internet off and they couldn't run the show. I agree with you about the production and the crowd. They do almost no advertising around town for the shows and when they do, it's usually Chaysen Rance minons who paper people's cars at NXT shows.

ROH vs. NXT
I'm biased because I go to NXT shows all the time since they are based down here and run 2 shows a month in Orlando. If I was in another city and both companies are running the town, I would probably still pick NXT. I try watching ROH tv but it's worse than Impact most weeks. Maybe it's because of the editing but it's just awful. Everything from the production to the commentary being so low you can't hear it over the piped in crowd. Now I watch the show on destination America since we have no sinclair stations here in Orlando. I'm also not a big fan of the talent in ROH except for a few guys/gals (Roderick, Briscoes, Maria, to an extent Jay Lethal and Sydal).

WWE TV 8-17 - 8/23
They will either have a bonus 8 man match or be on the NXT taping after Takeover is over.

[1999-11-06-KAW-TV] J.C. Ice and Terry Golden
JC gets beaten up while wearing a fanny pack. If that's not pro wrestling, I don't know what is. The camera work here is especially atrocious even for KAW.

[1999-11-06-MPPW-TV] Brian Christopher, Doug Gilbert and Tommy Rich
Man Brian's gotta be in the running for MVP of 1999. I died when he mentioned the cigarette line with a straight face. I'm really surprised Doug even showed up after that Peggy and Tommy segment. This segment is legendary for Doug's teeing off but him throwing a vacuum cleaner I don't remember that. He almost took out Downtown Bruno. I'm also surprised Randy didn't go to commercial after Doug said he was smoking crack. I would have loved to had been a fly on the wall when Lawler showed up. Of course right after the segment, Randy told dave that Doug was fired.

The pop Vince gets for mentioning WCW is great. As was HHH's line about how WWF is a billion dollar company but still can't get a mic to work.

This doesn't do much for HHH's "serious champion" gimmick he was doing a couple discs back. X-pac in overalls is ridiculous.

The Beginner's Guide To British Wrestling
OJ, I hope you review the match Arthur uploaded today with the fake dick murdoch, Flash Gordon's pervert brother Flesh and the topless girls. That was something to see. I loved how the announcer called it straight.
