Rare appearance from Spike Dudley's girlfriend in the crowd. I enjoyed this even if it's a handheld from the crowd. I don't think of Spike Dudley as a high flyer but he had some nice dives here. More spot heavy and faster than the Tajiri matches. Like Loss said, the ending wasn't ever in doubt but it was a fun match. Also "can't see shit" is one of the worst chants ever.

Mentioned these matches in the What are you watching thread but I"ll put them here: El Dandy, Mr. Niebla and Tony Rivera vs Scorpio Jr., Crazy 33 and El Enterrador 1/25/01 El Dandy, Felino, Super Parka vs Scorpio Jr, Rambo and Mr. NIebla 2/1/01 Dandy and Scorpio Jr were feuding leading up to a IWRG IC heavyweight title match. First match had both guys just bloody and ripping the masks of the other guys. Second match told more of a story. Dandy/Scorpio continued to rip each other to shreds. Dandy won to set up the title match. Rambo turned technico after some miscommunication spots with Scorpio. Super Parka is such a underrated gimmick. Way better than Volador and at times I like him better than LA Park. El Dandy vs Scorpio Jr. 2/8/2001 Title match lucha is tough sometimes. It can be real good but when it's done shitty, it can be bad. Sadly, this was the latter. Very disappointing as I was expecting a bloodbath but it was mostly one the mat. Now Dandy was one of the best mat guys around but not so much in early 2000. Crazy 33 and Rambo are the seconds. They don't add much except for the finish which was really weak. For some reason, this had like a 9 minute second fall and real short 3rd fall.

My god this was amazing. Two guys that were feuding like an episode of Roots walk down Beale street shaking hands and kissing babies while wearing belts. All this while gospel music is playing in the background. This is right up there with Lanny Poffo wearing a suit of amor while Kiss plays or the Hogan/Savage "friend of mine" music video.

If you look at Kevin Christian's face close enough, it looks like he and Brian are twins. Especially when laughing. This might have been Brian's crowning moment. An incredible impression of Doug. Talks about the WWWF and his fake teeth fall out. That Tommy Rich impersonation was just wrong.

This was going good till the kickout fest at the end. Misawa and Kobashi were just throwing headdrops like it was out of style. My favorite guy here was Akiyama. I liked him toying with Ogawa including kneedropping him in the head while Ogawa was in the boston Crab. Misawa seemed really out of it towards the end. Good match.

RVD, Credible, Dreamer, Joey Styles and Taz are all involved. Of course Dreamer goes through a table.
