Ric Flair (sigh)
The worst thing is you know the match is probably going to be "not as bad as you would think" since it's a 6 man and the RnRs are somehow still decent in 2022, and it's gonna make Ric want to do a comeback.

She mentioned she would get told not to smile all the time in NXT, only to get immediately told to smile more once she got to the main roster. Developmental, everybody!

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Seems like something wrestling fans would probably get a kick out of but anyone else wouldn't think much of.

Current New Japan
New Japan absolutely has had ties, if not now they did in the 90s when the first row of most shows looked like a Chono cosplay convention was in town.

Tony's a big student of wrestling history, and one of the major things that doomed JCP is they backloaded everyone's deals expecting to get tons of PPV money which didn't happen when the WWF cockblocked them from most of the PPV systems. I'm sure he's aware anything can happen even though everything seems to point to AEW getting a substantial rights fee raise, and doesn't want to commit to spending money he doesn't have in hand yet.

It seems like Tony wants to wait until he knows how much of an increase he's getting with the next TV deal and doesn't want to promise any big numbers he might not be able to back up (although all signs point to AEW getting a substantial raise). I'm sure MJF knows that and also wants to make sure his future earnings are set, so I can see where the impasse comes from.

I didn't see it as them joining, more like two factions joining forces to fight a common enemy, plus Mox owed Eddie for saving him from sparklers at the end of the death match

What's funny to me is that the ROH tag and TV titles have been regularly on AEW programming and the world title hasn't. IIRC Jonathan Gresham has been backstage at several shows and obviously has some kind of deal in place since TK kept the belt on him. Also I don't get the idea that "too many NXT guys" are a problem. I know most of us are puzzled by it, but Adam Cole is one f the most over people in the company right now. The only other NXT guys are Fish and O'Reilly and they've mostly been used as soldiers for Cole. Unless of course someone is trying to be cute and include Keith Lee in that discussion. It reminds me of the concern trolls who were saying having Jericho and Moxley as the first two champions meant AEW was doing the LOLTNA deal of pushing all ex-WWE guys.

Yeah they needed to have some kind of placeholder art since I believe the copyright office needs some kind of graphical example in with the submission.

If you've ever seen the photos Wendy posts on her social media, it's mind boggling their idea for her is to stuff her in a onesie.

Besides the obvious difference in spouses, Roman wins but doesn't completely bury his opponent in the process, not does he have 70s NWA world title cosplay matches.

Yeah that's the issue with WWE now. They used to take someone super over and run with them until the wheels came off. Now they take someone they *want* to be super over and push them until it works or the crowd completely rejects them. in the case of Cena and Roman it eventually worked, but in 99.9% of other cases it doesn't. (and that doesn't even include the people they punish for getting themselves over when that wasn't what the company wanted)
