WWE TV 04/18 - 04/24 The Phoenix Suns are hella good
Also holy shit a Dinosaurs reference, haven't thought about that show in like 25 years.

I like to think being able to get stuff like this over is why KO realized he can have a long and lucrative WWE career.

Funny how Vince thought Elias in ring gear looked too much like Randy Savage, but beardless Elias looks almost exactly like young minor league baseball player Randy Poffo.

Clearly, India acknowledges the Big Dog. Which of course is another point, why does everyone assume there has to be an Indian star for the market to catch on? I mean, ideally that would be great but you can't force it.

Veer can do his Twitter gimmick on TV and be a real suave GQ looking motherfucker, but WWE gotta have him out there like a wild savage. New eyes with old ideas indeed.

Saw a good point made on Twitter (I know, I was surprised too!) that while everyone wants to make an Indian star to capture the market, they always make the person they want to do it with a heel. I think Impact is the only company I can recall that has tried winning over India with a babyface, and not surprisingly their TV deal there ended up being one of their main revenue sources,

Also did it seem like Sonya was sandbagging there? Odd seeing Bianca look like she had to muscle her up with some effort when she's picked up women twice her size with less effort.

Sonya is the greatest

As cool as it was seeing Stone Cold come back for one last surprisingly decent match at Mania, it wasn't worth it to have the WHAT chants come back again.

not only was this stupid in the sense of ending something that was actually getting some interest (probably not the kind they wanted but still), it's also stupid how every women's tag team has to break up within months of forming.

This is why WWE can't have nice things.

Also I love that Rhea is fully aware of her strong lesbian fanbase and is leaning into it.

I knew he would be a better fit here, but I'm amazed at how well it's been going so far.

I just realized that Seth Rollins reminds me of a coked up 80s heel manager like Downtown Bruno, even down to his promo voice.

Yeah its like when the whole league started doing Hack-A-Shaq because it was effective (he sucked at free throws) and they couldn't stop him any other way. It makes sense as a strategy but made the TV experience brutal.

That's been my one issue so far, I don't have a local team and the ones geographically closest to me are in Ohio and Philly. Rooting for teams from those places can get a person excommunicated around here. The team I actually started watching first was the Galaxy back when Beckham was playing, but rooting for them feels like being the stereotype Yankees/Lakers/Duke front runner fan.

Current New Japan
Yeah it was clearly supposed to play off other instances of the ref accidentally (?) screwing Ospreay, but they apparently did it so well everyone thought it was a legit screwup.

Speaking of, I've been getting back into soccer with MLS games airing on ESPN and FS1/2 now. I know everyone in Euroland laughs at MLS, but their rapid expansion ended up having a by product of causing teams to invest in younger players and not rely on being an old folks home for players who can't hack it in the Premier League anymore. It's actually pretty fun to watch and it's nice to see most games have pretty big crowds nowadays.

I find it fascinating that outside of the Japanese and baseball, by far the most popular US sport outside of the US seems to be basketball.

Current New Japan
It's going to be available on NJPW World in a couple weeks, I assume due to whatever deal they had with FITE.

AEW TV - April 13/15, 2022
Man, Satnam looked to be at least nine feet tall next to Gresham. That was an amazing visual.

AEW TV - April 13/15, 2022
Sammy/Scorpio was good, not sure Sammy needed the title back again, but there seems to be a plan in place. Gresham is so effortlessly good at wrestling, TK needs to book a match vs Danielson ASAP.

Conrad Thompson set to expand his podcast schedule with new shows
Has Conrad ever talked about either stepping back from his mortgage gig to devote more time to this, or somehow expanding his co host pool at least?

Of course he did, being anti-AEW is the new grift it seems.

WWE TV 04/11 - 04/17 the rent is too damn high
Love how Madcap's promo about having to come up with jokes that only one person finds funny making him an insert for everyone who's ever been on the writing team.
