The people had no reason to give a shit about Yuta when the PAC match happened, since as stated he was just the dude in the with Best Friends. To see the reaction he gets now is a master class in how to elevate someone in a short period of time.

Moxley's "what the fuck got into THAT guy" reaction after the match was great. Yuta's transformation into a violence machine worthy of William Regal has been magnificent.

In a vacuum, it doesn't really make much difference but it's just stupid to change people's names because the boss has a hard on for complete control. It's one thing to give some recruit in the PC a goofy new name, doing it to an established wrestler both in and out of the WWE system just comes off as insulting to fans. Especially when the crowd is chanting WALTER and both announcers have to claim they really are saying GUNTHER. It just makes everyone involved look stupid as hell.

Even AAA would be a good get, a lot of the old Triplemanias were pretty great.

The low key golden goose IMO is if they somehow get CMLL involved. They have zero interest/ability to do anything with their library, and would probably be interested if the check was big enough. It would be an absolute game changer in terms of lucha history,

Not to mention it was already exposed that WWE was paying to get access to fast national ratings, then releasing then to friendly Twitter accounts...but only on weeks AEW was down (which is how the whole thing got exposed).

Yeah Park's usual MO is to piss off promoters and the local Lucha Commissioners by doing stuff like brawling in the crowd when told not to. Apparently Park has some long lasting resentment about how he was treated in WCW and was trying to teach his sons to be tough guys or something. Also lucky for MLW that Davey Richards was there who works in the ER for his shoot job and was able to help the guys who got busted open.

Notes from Roland Bocks biography
He also competed in the 1968 Olympics in the same weight class as Bob Roop, which kind of blew my mind when I read it.

Funny how not too long ago some people out there were saying FTR should never be babyfaces since they are so great as heels, and then they put on a babyface performance last night like they were the Rock n Rolls on NWA WorldWide in 1986.

I can't wait for Dax to take out Brock Anderson and claim his spot as Arn's favorite son.

Shane's kid out here making me ponder an alternate timeline where Vince played college football.

Honestly surprised it took this long to happen. It's clear she can't control her demons and at this point being in prison is probably the safest place for her to be.

Dax might be my favorite wrestler right now. Just does everything as perfect as possible.

I know that's been a long standing joke, but either they have the slowest moving male pattern baldness ever or they might be just dudes with big ass foreheads. I haven't noticed any changes in their hairline but everyone makes the same Balding Bucks jokes.
-
AEW TV - April 6/8 2022
I get the Bucks aren't for everyone style wise, but they got everyone thinking BPJ was the next big thing for a while so they can work their asses off.

JR breaking out the bowling shoe reference and I can't say I disagree. Matt especially shouldn't be taking these kind of bumps.

Jade has gotten so good so fast in the personality side of things. She's gonna make so much money.

The fans want to see MJF get his ass beat by Wardlow. The security geeks are preventing that so they are unintentially doing MJF's bidding.
-
AEW TV - April 6/8 2022
Because they are defacto working for the heel by keeping him away from MJF?

The ROH show just this last weekend went from 200-ish tickets sold to 2500 and got one of the biggest buyrates ever for a ROH PPV solely due to their match with FTR, so it's not the best time for that take. No one was drawing in ROH toward the end due to lackluster booking and being owned by a billon dollar corporation who had to be dragged kicking and screaming into paying for a decent lighting rig. No one was going to able to draw with that.

Also, and this might not be a popular take here, apologizing isn't a magic wand that wipes away your past behavior. Yeah it's great someone can look back and past deeds and say "wow I certainly fucked up there, I'm sorry", just doing that doesn't mean they are automatically entitled to the same opportunities as before. Words/behaviors have consequences, and an apology doesn't mean someone can't still say "yeah I'm gonna pass on having someone with that in their history work for me". Is it fair? Maybe not, but you can't un-ring the bell with an apology.

FWIW, it seems like Tony does want to sign him, but if it would piss off his TV partner I don't expect him to die on that hill. The Briscoes are great and by all accounts Jay (AFAIK Mark never said anything and just kind of got grouped in all of this), seems to have realized what he said was fucked up, but at the same time what he said was REALLY fucked up. It's not like he said something like "I don't care for gay people" he said he would literally shoot anyone trying to teach his kids being gay was ok. In an era where LGBT+ folks are seeing an increase of rhetoric against them in the political world, I can see a company being awfully concerned having someone who said something like that on their TV show.

Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
This kind of has an "everyone involved kinda sucks" vibe, but if he hit her then I don't feel bad saying "fuck him". Either way he really fucked over his tag team partner in the process as well.
