It's like WWE heard the feedback of people complaining about the stupid fuck finishes last night and decided to up the ante.

You just know Alexa is gonna appear at some point just as this match is getting good.

The best part was how they went out of their way *not* to mention her hometown (which most times means they won't do what they usually do) and proceed to do the hometown humiliation anyway. Also WWE recently put a video on their YouTube page of the Top 10 times people got humiliated in their hometowns in case you were still under any false idea they aren't aware of what they are doing.

Also holy shit Hobbes just pointed out they debuted Seth's appearance on Austin's show (where he tells a story about being pissed at the HIAC with the red lights finish) after a show that had a red light finish as a main event.

While the main event is getting all the attention, and rightly so, lets not forget the other two highly promoted matches (the women) ended in a DQ and "pin after being hit/distracted by a doll" respectively.

That's the ultimate WWE ending, "our faulty equipment will make sure we have the flattest most deflating finish ever".

They should do a segment where Bianca and Cesaro just try to outdo each other doing crazy feats of strength in the ring.

Also Becky coming out looking like Mr. Wrestling II wearing one of Demolition's ring jacket is certainly a choice.

They should probably give Becky new music that doesn't encourage crow participation if they want this heel turn to stick.

So far the dude sitting by the ramp with signs about video games has been the star of the show.

It really is amazing in the crushing sameness that is WWE, that the New Day has been able to stay relevant and entertaining all these years.

This show is giving strong "probably technically fine but won't mean a thing" vibes. Like most of the matches have a forgone conclusion and the ones that could possibly go either way could do so because it doesn't really matter who wins.

I'm not particularly married to either side (I think Kenny and the Bucks are great in ring, but I also can see how their antics rub people the wrong way), but I wonder if sometimes we sound like the grizzled vets who complain the young guys are exposing the business and don't know how to work. I tend to agree with Dave when he says that if something draws, even if you personally don't like it, then it works. If you complain about something that works, it makes you look out of touch. I also think a lot of it comes down to everyone, smart fans and casuals alike, having to get used to there being a different style of wrestling in a major US promotion for the first time in decades. We've all been accustomed to things being Done A Certain Way for so long, seeing someone do things differently appear alien even if they are succeeding because there's always that hind part of your brain that is like "that can't be possible, they didn't do it this way".

CMLL is being CMLL and making it next to impossible to view their shows from outside Mexico. I'd keep an eye on cubsfan's YouTube since it might show up there at some point.

Saw it pointed out on Twitter that people in WWE that "come up with their own ideas" do so with the intent of getting noticed by the audience of one, and those are very different ideas than they would come up with if they were doing so for a pro wrestling oriented audience. (also it's sad to see these folks making obvious pre-emptive "please don't get mad at the company for this gimmick I'm doing" tweets)
