One thing I noticed when I went to a Dynamite taping in the Before Times, is how well paced AEW shows are live. I could never tell when commercial breaks were happening, as opposed to WWE shows I've been to live where they basically shut everything down for the live audience while the TV crowd is away. AEW was so much better as a live experience just because it was clear the company still remembered to pay attention to the folks in the building.
  2. Well, the individual pieces all seem to be believable. I can see Hawk picking a fight with someone smaller, I can see Scorp beating his ass and making a shiv for protection. I can see Benoit talking him out of it if for no other reason to not cause an international incident that would get them all sent so some NK prison camp forever.
  3. Also if we're gonna do the king gimmick with Shin, I'm demanding he go full "Statue of Liberty/King Zarkon from Votron" with it like in New Japan:
  4. Watching this now, Rik Boogz is great. He's one of those guys that if he's even a little bit okay in the ring he's gonna be a huge star.
  5. I wonder how they can square a non puff piece doc with their previsioned image they use for the Warrior Award.
  6. Saw this in the WO daily update:
  7. Chris Benoit being the voice of reason preventing 2 Cold Scorpio from stabbing Hawk with a shiv is horrifically ironic in hindsight.
  8. Still, sending pro wrestlers to North Korea just seems like a bad idea no matter what company they work for. The one time I don't blame the Hulkster for pulling a "that doesn't work for me brother". Was surprised to see they got Inoki for the show, and loved how he basically said he knew Hogan would be to smart for this shit.
  9. I mean, this is the company that has cameras everywhere (except the bathrooms obviously) so Vince and Hunter can monitor the PC at all times, so I wouldn't automatically assume that this would be disqualifying behavior.
  10. It's becoming both impressive and horrifying that every time you think "well this is certainly a very fucked up thing going on in WWE" something else as bad or worse pops up not too soon after.
  11. Yeah there was a voice message, and there were people confirming the number was his.
  12. Watching the Collision in Korea episode and all I can think of is how close we may have been to World War III because WCW sent some wrestlers to North Korea.
  13. He never denied the pics were him, just that the was hacked or something. I never heard the official word but reading between the lines it seems like the kids who got sent the pics were reluctant to move forward. That would also fit with Hunter's insistence when asked that they didn't think there was anything to the accusations.
  14. File that one under "the fuck took so long?"

I'm not normally a fan of one sided stips like that, since it usually gives away the finish, but in this case it almost makes you want to see the Inner Circle lose since it seems they've reached the end of what they can do.
  16. Someone responded to say Aries wants to save the children because he's the same size as them and I'm dead now.

Also The Acclaimed's rap deal is getting better by the week. I don't know if it was nerves or what, but their intro was horrible at first but saying Eddie looked like a pack of Newports was both hilarious and probably the most accurate description of him ever.

I loved Kingston stealing the Bucks' shoes after they beat them up. Everything Eddie does always comes off 100% the way you would expect his character to act in any situation, and I cracked up for that.
  19. Kicking off with CS's favorite wrestler!
  20. I mean, both can be true. Drake can be anti BLM and still think it's messed up someone got put into a coma over it.
  21. He's already made the company more money than HHH ever did, HEYYYO!
  22. Wasn't Brandi Lauren the one who's only appearance on TV was one of the girls in Damian Priest's hot tub?
  23. Super zealous religious folks tend to react poorly when told to respect other beliefs.
  24. It may not be best for Drake, but it's 100% the right thing for them to do as a company. Dude seems to be getting more volatile by the day, and at the very least they were in danger of someone beating his ass on their property and opening them up to lawsuits. I saw people saying how this would finally shake loose some stories of how he really started going over the edge when BLM started getting traction. I guess the folks who were trying to explain away him throwing the white power OK sign in a NXT ref group photo are busy trying to wipe the egg off their faces now.
  25. Dream likely still has a job for the same reason folks like Riddle and Austin Theory do, management doesn't see what the big deal is. Part of why Drake was finally let go is too many people in NXT were getting uncomfortable with him being around, and Dream has seemingly reached that level too but is still being kept in the NXT storage locker. That alone should give anyone pause.
