  1. The dirty secret always was that all of the universally praised NXT women's matches were endlessly practiced and walked through beforehand, which is great but wasn't preparing them for life on the main roster at all. Which is the reason why they pretty much all struggled at first since all that alleged state of the art training ended up meaning approximately jack shit at that point. I think that's probably why all the women praise Nattie, I have a suspicion she was either told or took it upon herself to be like "OK I know what you learned down there, but here's what you really need to know now you're up here" and guided them through the maze of surviving on the main roster.
  2. Most of his best work would probably have been in Southeastern and I don't think much of that exists sadly. The most complete stuff I've seen would have been in the Continental era which would have been towards the end.
  3. Not that Evil was going to set the world on fire regardless, but the New Japan fans HATE all the run in bullshit Bullet Club was doing during his run, and not in the "boo I hate the bad guys doing bad guy things" way but the "fuck this nonsense ruining this match" way. The fans were a thousand times more in to the match once LIJ came out to clear out Togo and Gedo.
  4. Kane was portrayed as an abuse victim who was being used by Paul Bearer, and then they did the deal where X-Pac was befriending him and helping him find his "human" side. Bray/Fiend is the abuser in this scenario, and there's really no way to babyface that without being all kinds of problematic (not that WWE cares about that).
  5. Also lol at AJ crying to be sent to Smackdown because Heyman was somehow to blame for his friends getting released only to have him show up there too,
  6. .....and somewhere a monkey's paw curls a finger. Babyface Fiend? How the hell can that even be possible?
  7. It amuses me that Vince, a notorious hater of smoking, now has a voice like a 3 pack a day smoker.
  8. I would be okay with either of those outcomes.
  9. Guess I was right, WWE must have told the folks voluntarily staying home they were going to stop getting paid. Everyone's back except Bryan who famously gives no Fs about money (and also has Brie out there getting that People Magazine cash to cover the new baby expenses).
  10. I'm not sure what's funnier/sadder right now: NXT turning into a breeding ground for conspiracy theory brain worms, or UFC stans cheering Uncle Dana's RNC speech after yelling at reporters to "stick to sports".
  11. Granted it was in AAA so not exactly the fairest place to determine one's ability, but Scarlett wasn't exactly showing any signs of in ring brilliance last time I saw her wrestling. Also not surprised the guy with the prominent "molon labe" tattoo is deep in the conspiracy kool aid.
  12. Yeah I liked his line about while he *wants* to drop MJF on his head multiple times with it he doesn't *need* it to beat him. The whole story was MJF overreacting to getting punked out during his promo and thinking all he needs to do to win is take Mox's finisher away. I did like MJF mentioning he is not going to fall in the same trap others have and keep the match in the ring. Everyone's expecting this to be another crazy Mox brawl, so it would be great for MJF to pull an ECW Cactus Jack and slap on a headlock when people are expecting violence.
  13. Bucks cost Hangman and Kenny the titles either accidentally or on purpose and we get full heel Kenny?
  14. Brodie rocking the VKM suit, awesome.
  15. Ryan "thinks he still works for WWE even though his show was canceled" Satin trying to start drama on Twitter comparing video of Tony Khan asking the live crowd to not do vulgar chants on TV and asking why it doesn't get held to the same standards as WWE attempting to fully produce the fans in the Thunderdome.
  16. You can tell these guys clearly missed having a live crowd again and it's noticeably improving the show.
  17. Not that I would want to see either, but I'd wager an Iron Man match in the Wyatt-verse would be far more entertaining, especially when mixed with the recreational chemical of your choosing.
  18. So in response to Austin Theory showing back up in NXT, Dave basically insinuated its where WWE is going to put people who need a lower profile for a bit.
  19. Shawn's gonna tithe his church an extra 10% for the Lord giving him the opportunity to book this match.
  20. I was down for having a four way instead of a tournament, then they had to go and make it an Iron Man match and that's the biggest nope possible.
  21. They said he was back in Canada dealing with a family issue when he wasn't at Takeover.
  22. #McAfeeForChamp
  23. I see a looooooooooooooooot of people posting the #saveourchildren deal not realizing it's being run by a group that literally thinks pedophiles are hiding in every shrub in America. It's the perfect scheme too, after all what kind of person would question any group trying to speak out against trafficking? Then before you know it, you're getting bombarded with propaganda about the Deep State and "well they were right on child trafficking, maybe they are right on this too", and down the rabbit hole you go.
  24. Yeah he could be macking on old ladies or being booked as a sex addict. I get your point, but the last (awesome) era of Henry's career shouldn't be used to erase the decade of Wrestlecrap he was put through to make him quit on the massive contract they had buyer's remorse over. All they need to do is get out of the way and let him be Keith Lee and everyone will be swimming in cash.
  25. Now that I think about it "let's just package him like the other really strong black guy we had" sounds like the exact amount of effort Vince would put into it.
