WWE TV 08/10 - 08/16 Rollins is basically HHH's heir to the throne, isn't he?
Back when Bray first started with the Sister Abigail stuff, people were fantasy booking it being Alexa, That is what I was referring to. Now she's finally involved in his Cinematic Universe and in typical WWE fashion it's not how anyone wanted it to happen.

Like anything, it depends on the execution. Going out and saying that the popular team in the city you're in sucks/deserved to lose is lame cheap heat. Elias going out and poking Seattle fans for losing their basketball team (which even though it's been years is still a very sensitive subject in that town) got the most visceral heel reaction anyone in wrestling had been able to garner in years. So basically even stereotypical lazy cheap heat can be effective if some creativity put into it. MJF puts works into being a heel, he keeps in character not only on social media but in public appearances. You might not like it or buy into it, but he's not going to be the guy who posts pictures hanging out at the bar with the person he's feuding with.

Alexa was pretty good by WWE Serious Acting standards, but Braun looked like a grade schooler reading his lines for the school play off a cue card. Funny how they cut the impact, but were okay with them showing Braun fuckin' LAUNCHING her in the air. I bet all the people who were riding the "Alexa should be Sister Abigal" train so hard a while back are realizing this is the monkey's paw scenario you get for that.

I think if anything it shows that fans of non worked sports don't want to watch with no crowds either. I would have bet money that folks would have been so starved for sports that they would watch no matter what, and that ended up not to be the case.

I would think a woman being shaved would make it more of a serious consequence since dudes sporting the bald look is a more common thing now. A woman losing her hair is much easier to portray as serious, especially since Mandy is pushed so hard as a beauty queen type. It would be something to see WWE flip expectations and have the blonde beauty lose and have to be bald, I could see her and Otis embracing their newfound "uniqueness" as part of them being a wacky couple. It's definitely something that would work better with real fans though. Mandy losing due to hijinx and getting shaved could result in some All Japan Women level fan reactions since it's not something WWE fans would expect to happen.

Joseph Park on Smackdown! Wonder if he ever found his brother Chris.

How about that, they actually are going to do a hair vs hair match with Mandy and Sonya.

Retribution attacking people in a building full of wrestlers with wrestlers acting as the crowd, and NO ONE tries to save the people being attacked is the most WWE thing I've seen in a while. Makes everyone look like chumps with no friends. At least Big E's boys are storyline and/or legit injured. Everyone else getting geeked out with the quickness.

So it looks like the person involved in the Patrick Clark situation stated WWE didn't even come to him as part of their "investigation" on the matter. That seems like something with the potential to go *really* badly for the company if anything else comes out.

Me either, dude's been *fantastic* in his role so far, which is why it was frustrating for me to see them muddying things up the very next show.

AEW released Bea Priestley, Sadie Gibbs, and Jimmy Havoc. The first two are probably COVID casualties since they were stuck overseas and couldn't get to any of the tapings and Havoc is pretty much what we figured at that time (ie: he would get released as soon as his rehab was over for his #SpeakingOut behavior).

He's a good heel, but WWE already WWE'd it up by having the presumed babyface Adam Cole and his crew crash the ring and beat up lovable underdog Drake Maverick. So it's going to end up a heel vs heel program.

Read a tweet pointing out Velveteen Dream returned to NXT just in time for Back to School season and I think that's enough internet for me today, lol.

I mean, different strokes for different folks and all that, but Shida's been one of my favorite parts of Dynamite as of late. She's not getting to do a lot because of everything going on, but she's been doing what she can with what she's been given.

Wrestling doesn't have to be difficult, just have Jake Roberts casually do promos while Archer kills jobbers in the background.

Plus it makes long term logical sense, it should make Tully sick to see Arn managing a Rhodes after all they've been through. I'm guessing the new Horsemen-type stable will end up being FTR, Spears, and ?....having Spears involved screams "guy getting turned on with the quickness" though.

Tully is amazing, still a great asshole after all these years.

JR is still really good when the match he's calling is in his wheelhouse. The Bucks vs Smash Bros in a PWG tribute match would be the opposite of that. Besides, "grumpy old man yelling at the clouds about tag rules" is basically his gimmick now.

In happier news, the finally got the new TNT belt finished and it looks pretty decent. I liked the old one's silver tone for contrast as opposed to the new one being gold, but at least it doesn't look unfinished anymore.

Well major sports leagues have been able to pay to get into the express lane for testing, and Tony has ties to the two biggest leagues in the world, so perhaps he slipped Jericho's test in the pile with those to get the results faster.

WWE TV 08/03 - 08/09 Giannis is a future back to back MVP
That was apparently supposed to be Cole's babyface turn, I guess it makes sense considering babyfaces are constantly made to look like geeks in WWE.

What I've seen of her work has been pretty good, she just seems to be snakebit in terms of getting injured at the worst possible time.

R.I.P. Kamala (James Harris)
I guarantee you someone in wrestling will make a "Kamala Harris as Kamala the wrestler" joke then immediately take offense at how negatively it's received.

That tweet is amazingly on brand for Lenny Dykstra. I would have honestly been a little disappointed if he didn't think it was real.
