AEW TV 4/1 Undisclosed Location Edition
I've loving the Brodie McMahon gimmck, and you know he has to love sticking it to the guy who saw nothing in him because he couldn't do a southern accent.

Marko being the first sacrifical lamb for Lance Archer is the perfect use of both guys.

Biggest news so far has been the return of Pharoh!

All Elite Wrestling
I've heard people make the case that having Cody win would undermine his "never get a title shot again" stip, but I agree that it needs to be someone on that level to win it and that it would add some stakes to the MJF feud as well.

Dark Side of the Ring
It will probably be up in a few days. They had part two of the Benoit episode up on their YouTube channel a couple days after that aired, so I expect other episodes to follow suit.

WWE TV 03/30 - 04/05 Pau no cu do Bolsonaro
AJ specifically stated he didn't want to face "Mark Calloway" he wanted the Undertaker. I know there's been winky references in the past but this is the first time I can recall them flat out stating he's a dude named Mark playing a character since that time he was wearing all black sweats in the Attitude Era and Vince called him by his shootname. It's going to be silly when we get to Mania and we're supposed to believe he has all sorts of superpowers (you just know we're getting that in the "boneyard match") when the whole build has been that Taker's a dude gone soft who'd rather stay home and bone his hot wife.

Dark Side of the Ring
The New Jack episode might as well been titled "how a guy can do at least three attempted murders and get away from it because wrestling". I will say Sandman was entertaining as hell, he was a great get to the show. Maybe it's other incidents clouding my judgement, but it was hilarious to see Jim Cornette being all "well by golly Jack just said whatever he wanted to and we couldn't do anything about it" when he was the guy in charge.

Undertaker, the guy who used to maintain Kayfabe to ridiculous lengths up until .....*checks watch*..... Monday, is now in a shooty shoot feud over his wife's finisher. Y'know I'd be okay with us doing a Dallas-like wipe of 2020 where we just all agree to pretend none of this ever happened.

The Becky/Ronda/Charlotte match sure is a lot better when it's not at the end of a 6 hour death slog.

Word. Not eating fast food on my way in to the office has done wonders for my waistline too. At this rate, by the time this is all over I'll be rocking the Rick Rude abs.

WWE TV 3/23-3/29 Who Cares? Edition
AEW had folks wearing clip on mics and it seemed to work fine in an open air building, not sure why WWE couldn't do it in a much smaller indoor one other than "we're so attached to our format we're incapable of ever deviating from it".

WWE TV 3/23-3/29 Who Cares? Edition
Finishing up Smackdown (Animal Crossing interrupted the first viewing), doing an angle where Elias is sent to the "local medical facility" in a state on lockdown due to Coronavirus reminded me of the WCCW "we've had two tragedies this week, Chris Adams was blinded and Gino Hernandez died" deal. It never fails to amaze me how deep in the bubble they are.

Watching Smackdown, i see Bayley decided to go full Karen Mode "may I speak to the manager" with her hair.

Dark Side of the Ring
Jericho able to broker peace between the families is a "DDP saving Jake and Hall" level move too. The scene where David breaks down and the reveal that Chavo and Sandra are there with him was the one hopeful moment in the whole story.

WrestleMania 36
This will end up being the most irresponsible thing he's ever done, yet having goddamn Wrestlemania in the middle of a pandemic might be the most Vince thing that possibly could ever happen. I'm not a lawyer, nor do I play one on TV, but I would think Roman has a good case for being put in an unsafe working environment due to all this. Miz will probably get all the heat (and he is a dumb shit for showing up to work with flu like symptoms in all this mess), but it all could have been avoided if the psycho in charge didn't insist on making this happen.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Barry Windham went from one of the best in the world to basically done for after his knee injury. He had other things going on (his family going to jail namely), but he always struck me as a what could have been with modern medicine.

WrestleMania 36
Probably his reward for telling the poors to suck it on social media.

WWE Falling Out w/ Saudi Arabia?
It's largely due to WWE not being able to finalize a TV deal, and the result of both sides being run by men used to being surrounded by sycophants and yes men who can't handle not getting what they want the second they want it.

WWE TV 3/23-3/29 Who Cares? Edition
Basically just starting this after watching NXT and being puzzled that WWE clearly sees something in Austin Theory but book him to lose all the time. Especially to modern-day Steve Lombardi, Tyler Breeze.

I'm loving Jericho doing the "I'm clearly talking to a crazy person so I'm going to keep calm so as not to upset him" routine.

One day we'll look back at Chris Jericho cutting a promo on Vanguard-1 in an empty arena as what life was like in 2020.

It seems like the whole Exalted One gimmick is going to be a not-so-subtle dig at Vince's weird quirks.

Dark Side of the Ring
People bag on David's admittedly questionable attempts to enter the wrestling business, but damn if he isn't the most sympathetic person in the universe. Dude got treated as if he was the one who did the murders (doesn't help that he basically looks like an identical twin of his dad if he had never used steroids) and got shunned by the people he grew up with. Jericho was 100% right in saying the way David got treated was bullshit.

Dark Side of the Ring
The only thing I wish could have been expanded upon a little more was the part about the Wellness Policy. They did kind of mention it, but glossing over how guys could get TUE exemptions made Jericho look like a dumb ass after saying how it was so strict after Eddy died you couldn't even smoke weed yet Benoit was on enough steroids to choke an elephant. All the pieces were there, they mentioned he was using since his teen years and that WWE had a lot of loopholes, but they could have connected the dots a little better IMO. Also was it just me or did Nancy's sister accuse Benoit of sexual assault? The part where she was asked if she saw any violence, and she said yes but out of respect to the kids he left behind she wouldn't go into details. That made my blood run cold, considering what else would she want to shield from them considering their dad's already a murderer?
