WWE doesn't want Mauro to go anywhere because they consider it a prestige thing to have the guy who does all the boxing and MMA shows calling their product. I'm not sure why they keep putting up with Corey's nonsense, he has none of the Real Sports Cred WWE gets a boner for and he's been a detriment to everyone he's been partnered with. It's no mistake he's with Cole now since he can't pull the shit with him that he did with Renee (notice how she ran at full speed to get away from commentary to do the FS1 show).

Considering Renee's stories of having to basically be Corey's handler when he gets too drunk to call an Uber, we have to consider the possibility he's a functioning alcoholic who's starting to become less "functional". I get the impression it was like when Lars had his anxiety attack before he was set to debut on Raw. They had all those big plans with him at Cena supposedly at Mania, and it ended up being too much for him to handle mentally. I think it was the same with Kylie. Clearly they were going to build the women's division with her being the star and it's not the most outlandish thing in the world to suggest it overwhelmed her too.

Big guys tend to get bigger in WWE considering the schedule leads to be constantly banged up.

Besides Mauro's mental health issues, he also has a history of being an asshole to his co workers that I don't think can all be written off as him having bad episodes. Plus I get the impression that after the JBL nonsense that WWE is afraid to say boo to him let alone try to produce him, which leads to him getting out of control on commentary. I too am familiar with mental health struggles, but there's good and bad ways to deal with them. Mauro's alternative methods aside, it's also not healthy for his employer to basically insulate him to the point any criticism is potentially cause for him to have another episode.What Corey did was a dick move for sure, but it shouldn't mean everyone should have to walk on eggshells in fear of setting him off either.

This show was another example of how poorly WWE arranges their shows. I understand they don't want to have the two Wargames matches back to back, but they put the one with the more powerful story/booking/drama first which set the bar far too high for the rest of the show. I thought the other matches were all fine, but they had no chance after the opener.

Shit like that is what drove Corny over the edge with ROH and made Greg the Office Boy a punchline.

That Masters of the WWE Universe thing almost seems like a rib since there's a HUN-TOR figure included.
