AEW Dynamite Week 6 - 11/06/19
Jesus Christ, just give Cody all the belts. That was like Dusty just embodied his soul during that promo.

NWA Powerrr
I don't get what his endgame is. I suppose the podcast market is more profitable than I think it is since no one's spending money on a show just because Jim Cornette is on it. The Joeys' (Ryan and Janela) aren't my cup of tea but if they can make it work there's clearly a market for what they have to offer. Pretty much any time I see Corny complaining these days this is what enters my mind:

WWE Network... It's Here
I would think at least 70s, they would show classic matches on the Sunday WWC shows up until the storm hit and would regularly have matches from stadium shows from the late 70s/early 80s.

The only issue is he tries to present himself as a Serious Reporter when it's obvious for a while he was angling for a WWE job.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Congrats to Ryan Satin, all those years of caping for the WWE on Twitter under the guise of reporting finally got him that job he's been so transparently angling for. He'll be part of WWE's Backstage show on FS1.

Not sure why it included my comment in the quote, but editing won't let me fix it so whatevs.

WWE Network... It's Here
Interesting news from the WWE Network News site mailbag: As luck would have it, yes there is. For those unaware, back in November last year, news broke that WWE had acquired the video library of World Wrestling Council (WWC) of Puerto Rico. One major concern was that the footage was severely damaged by a hurricane that had then-recently happened in the area. Unfortunately, we were told a good few months ago that this was indeed the case and the issues were so extensive that a lot of the acquired tapes were sent to an outside specialist. However, there is a positive. According to a source, WWE ended up receiving a lot more footage than expected, including “a ton” of unmarked film reels. So the impression we were given at the time was that even if a significant chunk is deemed unsalvageable, the larger haul means that a good chunk would hopefully still survive. It’s impossible to say regarding the near future, but I will say that if footage from WWC does surface on WWE Network in the coming months, I’d say it’s highly likely to appear in Hidden Gems or via documentary clips first and not as a “classic content” batch of full episodes. So while it sucks that it appears a good chunk was damaged, the fact that they could save a lot more than was expected is an excellent sign for the future.

The Official Seth Rollins is Terrible Thread
They might as well at this point. Maybe he'll come off as less of a whiny manchild if his tweets get drenched in unreadable WWE speak.

They could do it Jack Tunney style (like how they do it with Regal in NXT) where the authority figure only shows up to make important announcements/decisions, but that won't get the McMahons on TV enough I suppose. It had the added weight of making it feel important when the authority figure had something to say (I remember when Jack Tunney showed up when I was a kid I knew shit was about to go down), but that horse has been beaten so dead the last 20 odd years it's not even worth using as glue at this point.

So two things were bothering me in this whole story tonight: 1. Why would Seth Rollins in storyline even want the NXT title? It's like the captain of the football team going back to his old school after he graduated. 2. Why would the RAW announcers promote matches on NXT? I mean I know why, but in Kayfabe land it makes no sense for the RAW team to hype up the invaders' show. I think the most deflating thing is yet again they took something that could have been cool and made it all about BRAND BRAND BRAND as if anyone outside a boardroom gives the slightest of shits about that.

I would expect that has a lot to do with this: Unlike Smackdown, where everyone knew something different had to happen (they had no choice), it was back to Business As Usual on Raw.

Breaking news: Seth Rollins not as good as Daniel Bryan.

These jobbers are getting more ridiculous every week and it's kind of awesome.

So I guess next week on Raw we get a skit of Lashley and Orton doing an Eiffel Tower on Lana in order to get MORE HEAT.

Looking forward to Seth and AJ as Team Corporate Sycophants.

It still cracks me up that poor Carmella got yeeted into the Phantom Zone by Bianca on Smackdown.

It's what makes people upset when he just mauls people alive (not in the kayfabe sense), because he can do it if he wants to he just sometimes chooses not to.

Brock beating up randos backstage is something you'd think would stop being enjoyable at some point, yet here were are.

WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
Like I know if I somehow made it to WWE I'd never last in that environment just because if I was in that meeting and had to listen to Seth say that, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself from asking if that means he's going to stop crying like an embarrassing little bitch on social media too.

WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
Apparently the team meeting before RAW amounted to Seth telling folks to not put their gripes on social media and talent relations (wouldn't that be HHH?) sticking to the "mechanical issues" line. Imagine being one of those guys pissed off and stuck in KSA, then the company's reaction is to push the same story that doesn't hold water and having Mr. Crying Babyface Twitter Baby tell you to not say stuff on social media.

To be fair Bret told anyone who said they were quitting to not do so.

WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
They want to be able to claim stuff like having the largest Rumble ever, so in order to do that you need to fly over a ton of jobbers.

WWE Presents Crown Jewel: Halloween Pumpkin Spice Edition
You would think a third generation wrestler who's decent in the ring would be a no brainer, but instead we got Michael McGullicutty and the B-Team.

The issue is that Vince is an all time great bullshitter. Anyone going to him complaining will end up leaving the office convinced they'll main event the next 10 Wrestlemanias.
