TBF, there's been multiple times he's revealed himself to be kind of creepy on Twitter. Not the least of which being his constant retweets of the "WWEPORN" account, which while not actual porn from what i can tell, it's a weird look for him to be doing.

Current New Japan
So they just did an angle where Liger upped his feud with Suzuki by bringing back the famous Kinshin Liger persona from the match where the Great Muta pulled off his mask to reveal face paint. They even did an homage to that when Liger tried to stab him with the spike they use to tighten the turnbuckles.

I wonder if after every joke that guy told, Mauro was like "JUST LIKE JOHN WAYNE GACY, THIS COMIC IS KILLING IT TONIGHT"

CMLL 86th Anniversary Show 9/27/19
Not streaming live like a lot of shows, but CMLL will have it on their YouTube channel probably the next day. The card: Ultimo Guerrero, Negro Casas, Big Daddy, Cavenario, Voldador Jr, Gilbert el Bourica (aka Mil Muertes from LU), Ciber the Main Man (Cibernetico's extremely lame CMLL name) in a cage match where the last two left have a hair vs hair match. Cuatero, Forestero, Sanson vs Caristico, Mistico, Valiente for the National Trios titles Microman vs Chamuel mask vs mask with two minis Dalys vs Marcela for the CMLL Women's title Angel de Oro, Niebla Roja, Mephisto vs Euphoria, Gran Guerrero, Soberano Jr (replacing Dragon Lee) in a Relevos Incriebles match where both teams are a mix of rudos and technicos Diamante Azul, Dulce Gardenia, Titan vs Hechicero, Hijo del Villano III, Rey Bucanero Audaz, Rey Cometa, Stigma vs Misterioso Jr, Tiger, Virus Quite the mixed bag of a card. The main event will probably depend on who the last two are. Everyone's expecting Ciber to be doing the honors here, so good luck to whoever is left with him, as Ciber's been extremely not good in trios matches in CMLL. The six man for the titles will be the match of the night unless disaster hits,. NGD are really good, and the technico team can easily hang with them. The minis match won't be workrate classic, but they are really over and Microman in particular is great at what he does. He's also the son of Ke Monito, the famous blue monkey mascot of CMLL, so enjoy the visual that just put in your head. The women's match will probably be decent, but CMLL books their women's division even more spotty that ROH does, so they will probably end up being in the death spot. The rest of the card is basically just "get folks an Anniversary show payday" filler that will probably not be bad but not particularly any good either. To be fair to CMLL this was probably a tough show to put together considering Paco's death and not everyone really getting behind the idea of Sofia as the boss at first. It might be interesting to see if anything happens to kick off any storylines going forward. This would be a good opportunity for them to use what's been kind of a lame duck show to be the launching point for something new. That has never been CMLL's MO but it could be a way to show that there's new blood and new ideas in charge.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Also someone needs to teach the people in charge of Anthem about the Sunk Cost Fallacy. They buy TNA to get more content for the Fight Network, end up gutting the Fight Network due to all the costs TNA brought on. They can't get any real network to give Impact a slot due to the Dixie LOLTNA era, so they smush it on the hunting channel they own a part of. They buy AXS so they have a place to put Impact, end up gutting AXS because reasons. All that just to make sure the wrestling promotion that can't stop stepping on its own dick can get on TV.

The best part is the column that got Moose and the Impact Stans (hey that would be a great band name) so riled up was just an recap of all the hilarious self-owns the company has done over the years and the only wrestler mentioned was Killer Kross in a discussion of his beef with the company. I get fandom is a hell of a drug, but anyone still ride-or-die for Impact* at this point is legit scary. *to be fair it's actually Anthem that has been doing all the dumb things, but since they all seem to be at the behest of Impact it's basically a "six of one, half dozen of another" deal.

Speaking of announcers, it seems like post Fox there will be completely separate announce teams for Raw and SD. Dave said it looks like Cole will be on SD, so I wonder how things will shake out. I really like the dynamic Corey and Byron have. Byron plays his role as straight man/comic foil great doesn't have to always have the last word like Renee does which causes the Raw team to sound like bickering children.

I would take Kevin Kelly, Excalibur, Ian Riccaboni, Nigel McGuiness, Vic Joseph, 50% of Jr's calls in AEW, and five squirrels in an overcoat over Mauro at this point.

Kenny Omega: "If [NXT] guys were in the same show as me, they'd be in the dark match. They'd be in the opening match of my main event match."
As Dave pointed out, the match he's referring to took place on a broken ring and was a minor miracle they were even able to do anything on it.

I will say there probably is something to that, being bipolar is a bitch and I don't doubt he was a bear to work with especially before he got his meds situated. Having said that, it would be kind of weaksauce to blame mental illness for asshole behavior. I can understand giving someone a little wider berth in that situation but at the end of the day a jerk is a jerk.

I started following IMPACT more closely since I realized you can watch the most recent episode of their TV without having to sign up for their streaming service, and it really is amazing how much better Matthews is now. He still comes off kind of like a douche at times, but Callis out there to needle him tends to keep his worse tendencies in check. It helps that Callis is my favorite kind of announcer, the ex wrestler who's kinda heelish but also calls things more or less down the middle. It's like the wrestling equivalent to having someone like Tony Romo calling an NFL game.

I love how that person in the tweet was all "one show in and they're turning on Mauro" when people have been down on him for a while. Or is PWO just ahead of the curve? Nice to see that he's taking a page from Seth's playbook and play the "check the bank account" card though.

I'm spitballing here, but I would assume an insurance company would feel more comfortable with their guy doing a match with the billion dollar industry leader than an indy they probably haven't heard of. Also I'm not sure that Big Dave would want to risk messing up that Marvel money at this point. He ended his wrestling career on the biggest stage, it wouldn't make sense for him to do a Bloodsport type show no matter how cool it would be.

He was good doing the Beast in the East show and on the Mae Young Classic, practically everything he does that annoys people is by design since it's what Vince wants. Just go back to the 80s and 90s when Vince was lead announcer, that's what he wants everyone to sound like but the problem is no one can do Vince like Vince does.

Big Cass incident at WrestlePro event
The scary part is the police took him to the hospital apparently based on things he was saying when they arrived on the scene. That normally only happens if they think the person is at risk of harming themselves. Oddly enough, Enzo and Janela were on another indy show the day before with no incident so Cass was fighting a battle he didn't need to.

WWE TV 09/16 - 09/22 Stop pushing Seth down our throats!
I'd be pretty confident Heyman already knows what that is. To think Corey was somehow going into business for himself by outwardly stating what was being implied all through this storyline so far is kind of naive. As far as Corey's drop in quality goes I'd think there's two factors at play: Main roster announcers get overproduced to death, almost all of them start out pretty good (or at least you can see potential), but within a few months everything that made them unique gets replaced by WWE drone speak. Secondly, there seems to be a lot of evidence that Corey's let being put on both shows go to his head. He's had some Seth-worthy levels of cringe inducing interactions with randoms on Twitter, and he's basically admitted he goes out partying and Renee ends up being his babysitter keeping him out of trouble.
