  1. It's endlessly amusing to me that the company that can't let the Monday Night Wars end has to rely on the only star WCW created as the "returning legend coming back" go-to now.
  2. Cain said he had two more matches left with AAA (probably their NYC and LA shows), then I'd expect WWE to hand him a blank check just to keep him from AEW. Also AAA really wants AEW guys to appear on their US shows, they may get a good crowd in LA without them but they won't sell many tickets in the Garden just with AAA guys alone. AEW didn't have any interest intitally, but if they are going to do a Fenix-Kenny program it would make sense to have it at MSG.
  3. He's a completely unlikable babyface, and he set fire to any goodwill he had left with anyone with his social media antics.
  4. She posted on Twitter today so she's alive at least, and yeah she was supposed to hit the ladder but missed. He's been working a ton of places outside AAA, and when he's been in AAA he's been doing tag matches.
  5. Up to August 1984 in Mid-Atlantic, and they are really pushing the upcoming debuts of Barry Windham and Mike Rotunda in the area as the greatest thing since sliced bread. Funny thing, two months later they'd be teaming in the WWF. It would be interesting to know what plans they had for them in JCP.
  6. He's kind of like Ric Flair in the sense that at this point he's never going to be fully booed because he's such a legend no matter how evil he gets.
  7. Demon was the heel in this.
  8. Fenix/Kenny for the AAA title? I'm down.
  9. The last match they had in AAA (dropping the tag titles to the Lucha Bros) started off with dead silence but the fans ended up throwing money by the end.
  10. Also it's amazing that Fenix has been the AAA mega champ for nearly a year and has yet to make a defense.
  11. This show got a lot of mainstream pub in Mexico thanks to Cain, wonder if AEW will get a bump from this.
  12. Taya coming out with the Impact title and being announced as champ, guess the companies are still on somewhat good terms. Also she's bringing a staple gun.
  13. Time for the women and now I need AAA to book Tessa vs LA Park.
  14. LOS PARKS!
  15. Oh God, they're gonna do a Konnan-Vamp program in 2019.
  16. There you go brother.
  17. Aerostar is a legit maniac.
  18. Didn't expect a Paco Alonso mention in the In Memoriam section of the show, props to AAA
  19. Scarlett and Sammy trying to out-sexy each other is hilarious so far.
  20. It's free to watch live on Twitch, you need to be a subscriber to their channel to watch the VOD or wait until AAA puts it up on their YouTube in a few months.
  21. Keyra, the AAA women's champ, got hurt a few weeks ago but is apparently still in the match. In most companies that would mean she probably takes a bump early and disappears for the whole match. In AAA it probably means she will nearly be killed in the finishing sequence of the match.

From what I can tell he's pretty much still in the same shape he's been post accident, but it's just easier for him to use a wheelchair now since he's in his 60s. I would love to see it be Arn, just for the promos alone, but it kind of make Cody look like a geek to get turned on by the guy who became famous by beating up his dad.
  23. Show starts at 9pm EST (AAA tends to run late a lot), and will be available on Twitch. They have separate Spanish and English channels, but don't bother with the English feed since Vampiro is still under the impression he's doing the commentary and the most memorable thing from the last time he did it was him audibly farting on air. Plus Hugo is more or less the JR of lucha and he's great even if you don't know any Spanish. The card: Dr. Wagner Jr vs Blue Demon (hair vs mask) Pentagon Jr/Fenix/Laredo Kid vs Young Bucks/Kenny Omega Psycho Clown/Cain Velasquez/Cody Rhodes vs Texano Jr/Taurus/Mystery Guy Ladder match for AAA Women's title with pretty much all the women including Taya and Tessa Blanchard. Copa Triplemania match Nino Hamburgesa/Big Mami vs Sammy Guevara/Scarlett Bordeaux vs Villano III Jr/Lady Maravilla vs Australian Suicide/Vanilla in a 4 way for the AAA Mixed Tag titles. Hijo del Vikingo/Myztizez Jr/Golden Magic vs Mocho Cota Jr/Carta Brava Jr/Tito Santana (not that one) vs Mamba/Maximo/Pimpinella Escarlata in a 3 way for the AAA Trios titles.

He's been good in what I've seen, which admittedly isn't a lot. I did notice he was tweeting on the anniversary of Roddy Piper's death and pointing out the scarf he wore was designed to match the pattern of the kilt Roddy wore in his pre WWF days. Made it clear Piper's an idol of his, and it shows in how great he is at being a heel.
  25. Dee Snider posting memories of talking with Harley while they flew together is not a thing I was expecting to read on Twitter today.
