  1. Lyger will be having his farewell match in Mexico on July 19 against Negro Casas, Ultimo Guerrero, and Caristo in a 4 way match.
  2. The point isn't the size of the venue (other than pointing out that AEW probably should have tried for a bigger building), but that they had something like 300K requests for tickets on day one, something that WWE has apparently never done no matter the size of the building they are trying to fill. Yes WWE eventually fills up places like Jerryworld in Dallas, but WM usually has tickets available for months.
  3. The same scalper bots are there for WWE events of recent times too though. A lot of WWE fanboys lost their minds over the fact AEW had such a high demand for their shows that it has to be scalpers/fake numbers/Dave's on the payroll.
  4. More people requested tickets on day one than any Wrestlemania, he went over the numbers on one of the daily shows. If you have an issue with it, blame the ticket vendors rather than Dave.
  5. Nope. Also the other co-owner besides this Glenn guy is Ian Rotten's son, which should tell you all you need to know.
  6. That's actually a pretty smart move, I would much rather have Eric being the guy to schmooze with network executives than Vince.
  7. As long as Vince is alive, I feel it doesn't matter if they have a council of Eric/Paul/Bill Watts/the ghost of Paul Boesch, the final say will always be with Vince and that means nothing of significance will change. Based on history it seems the best thing we can hope for is a few months of good wrestling before either Eric or Paul (or both) get fed up with the constant micromanaging and tell Vince to shove it.
  8. I think the Fox move is the reason they are doing it, as Fox is looking to have more of a real sports feel for Smackdown.
  9. Becky's way better, she's just stuck in a shit feud right now. She's actually got me interested in a match she's done before, can't say Seth's ever done that.
  10. Man, you know Otis is a big guy but it was kind of jarring to see him make Big E of all people look small by comparison. I need more of them interacting, btw.
  11. That would be the worst feud, since it's two guys who shouldn't be losing right out of the gate. So it makes perfect WWE sense that they'd 50/50 both guys immediately.
  12. Huskus the Pig made a cameo on SD, so I guess they're doing a slow burn where the FireFly Funhouse bleeds into Raw and Smackdown.
  13. I said it before but CMLL's gonna claim gimmick infringement for having 2/3 falls matches with meaningless quick first falls.
  14. That's an odd take. It seemed to me it ramped up more when he started becoming a douche on Twitter to everyone.
  15. Yeah, in the "everything has a plus side" department, Vince's paranoia is getting guys paid who AEW probably wouldn't take a second glance at. Rusev's deal is apparently coming up soon, so I can't wait for the hilarity that is going to bring, since he's bent on seemingly burning every bridge he can on the way out.
  16. If he's truly a disciple of HHH, then maybe Uncle Kev could get through to him.
  17. Yeah it made the rounds of all the video game sites, everyone basically LOL'ing at WWE and people not familiar with wrestling being all "who the fuck is this HHH guy and why should I care how he's portrayed?".
  18. Now Seth's patronizing Wade Keller too, which is something considering Wade's like the Bobby Eaton of wrestling journalists. Never heard anyone say anything bad/have issue with him and now Seth is trying to big time him.
  19. That, and also having to insert himself in every moment his NXT "kids" get (even on the main roster now apparently), having to format every match he's been in for the last 14 years as if it was a 70s-80s NWA world title match no matter if it's to the detriment of his opponent's style or not, that famous edict to video game reviewers that when taking screenshots for whatever year WWE game it was that HHH could not be show in a vulnerable state. Not to mention being allowed to say things and take shots in promos the other guy either can't say or isn't able to respond to.
  20. It should be noted that while Seth may believe what he's saying, "he took his ball and went home" is usually a dead giveaway you're really hearing Vince talking.
  21. HHH is an all time Hall of Fame policker, no one should ever doubt that. Dude went from Shawn's bag carrier to #2 in the company. Props to him for being able to channel his crippling insecurity in a way that secures the bag for not just him but his kids' kids.
  22. Hey now, David was a great promo. But yeah, I hope those kids' mom has the gift of gab because they sure weren't going to get it from dad.
  23. So Bray's puppets were in the background in at least two backstage segments tonight, according to the GIFs posted on Twitter.
  24. Yeah but he's still being 50-50'ed, even if it's in really good matches with AJ. Dude just won the title last night FFS.
  25. From what I've heard so far, yeah.
