WWE TV 24/06 - 30/06 Is Ricochet a better version of Ospreay
It's probably weird in the building, but I'm liking this "no wrestling during commercial breaks" edict.

Nah, it looks like instead of passing the torch, he's gonna pass the YARD to the Big Dog.

I wonder if this angle with the Good Brothers ends with AJ putting them in a box and mailing them to Jacksonville.

Man if Bill Watts was booking this tug-of-war, someone would have been hung with that rope and probably tar-and-feathered too.

Well that was certainly unexpected.

I'm still wondering why anyone would want the 24/7 title if all it does is lead to a mob of geeks chasing you everywhere you go.

LOL @ Rowan trying to get some of that "Daniel Bryan is a huge babyface in Washington" heat with the Soundgarden shirt.

AEW on TNT
Yeah the only chance there'd be a preemption on Wednesdays would be during the playoffs.

Grilling JR
Dusty did an angle in Florida where he had facial paralysis, which now looks like it was just cover for a legit issue.

WWE Stomping Grounds - NO BUYS~
Poor Seth. Dude started off well trying to be the guy to rally the troops, but doing it before having a main event match with Baron Corbin just led him to get dunked on like he was defending mid 90s era Shaq. Plus he really seems to think people's issue with WWE is the level of effort the talent puts in....which is like some real bizarro world shit since that's usually the one thing most people *do* give WWE credit for.

AEW on TNT
On last night's audio, Bryan and Dave talk about AEW getting a trademark for Wednesday Night Dynamite. Looks like that's probably going to be the day. I know the conventional wisdom was to go on Tuesdays since WWE established that as a wrestling day with Smackdown, but there'd be a ton of pre-emptions for NBA games if they were on then.

WWE Hidden Gems
I always found it weird that the Fantastics are so underrated at a level usually reserved for people we don't have a lot of footage of, but that's obviously not the case here. It's like people watched the matches with the MX and think Bobby and Stan were doing all the work or something.

Current New Japan
He (KUSHIDA) said in interviews he felt he did everything he could in New Japan, which is probably true since I didn't get the impression they were moving him up to the heavyweight ranks anytime soon. Seems like he just needed/wanted a change of scenery, and at 36 I'm sure he figured this was his chance to get to do a US excursion for a few years and make some money on a lighter schedule.

Current New Japan
I get the feeling KUSHIDA wanted to cash out and get a sweet Nakamura gig to get paid to go surfing for a few years.

Buzz Sawyer yelling at randoms in the crowd was great too.

Hey if Bruce being around means they're digging around in the crates to find more stuff, more power to him.

WWE TV June 17th - 23rd 2019
I mean, it's not as if the person who was the unofficial poster child for this wave of disgruntled independent contractors went and did two separate long form interviews on how he couldn't get the old man in charge of things to get past poop jokes long enough to listen to his ideas. It's going to be real cute when they try to cherry pick the obvious guys who don't read verbatim from scripts as if they are on the same level as the folks in NXT/Midcard WWE guys.

WWE TV June 17th - 23rd 2019
So it looks like WWE's new plan is to send guys like Road Dogg and Drew Mac out to do interviews saying the people not happy with their station in the company just weren't working hard enough to get what they want. That's a bold strategy Cotton, let's see if it pays off.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bryan had the inside word that this was coming, since it seems like the exact sort of thing he's geek out about.

Current Lucha Talk
The Demon-Wagner match is interesting. Normally Demon's at that level of "never losing the mask ever" status right below Santo, but there's been squabbles with the family enough where there's always that 1% chance he finally said fuck it and cashed out. Then again, you can tell from the mask-ripping spots that he's been doing that Demon is another Blue Panther where he'd look 100x older without the mask. You'd also think you want to save something like Wagner's first hair loss for someone on the come-up who can benefit from it, but that's sensible booking and you can't expect that from AAA very often.

WWE TV 06/10 - 06/16 Operation Car Wash is a fraud and Lula is a political prisoner
Warrior basically calling his own death on Raw made him into a ready made PR bonanza ripe for the picking, and WWE jumping on that almost immediately was kind of icky even before all the other stuff happened.

Current Lucha Talk
AAA announced they will be running the LA Forum on 10/13, however they did it in the most AAA fashion possible by having a press conference without telling anyone.

The Steve Austin Show
WWE apologists really, really, *really* want to cast Tony as a Dixie 2.0 dumb fanboy money mark and will glom on to anything they think will reinforce that image. It's almost as if decades of Vince clearly hating being seen as a "rasslin' promoter" has trained WWE fans to look down on anyone in the business who legit enjoys professional wrestling.

I love his "Make Tag Teams Great Again" gimmick, it's a little too on the nose for a heel to go around pointing out how the tag division sucks. It's one thing to say it when it doesn't and he's a heel saying heel things, but it *does* suck so it just makes you agree with the bad guy.

Apparently the Dana Brooke-Sara Logan match at the Main Event tapings got stopped when Dana got a Dustin-level crimson mask from an knee.
