Mania Week Insanity 2019
Other fun picture combos I've seen so far: Muta and Trish LA Park, Hijo del LA Park, Konnan, and Dan Severn Greg Valentine and Onita

Dark Side of the Ring
Just finished watching it, I was struck at how much his son looked like what I imagine Brody would have looked like had he not gone into wrestling and had been just a regular guy. I remember (I think it was) Meltzer talking about how hearing how heartbreaking Tony Atlas's story was as the only eyewitness, and it certainly was. It was a nice touch after closing on how bullshit the trial was, to end on a mention that Invader advertises he's available for children's parties on Facebook.

NXT Takeover: New York
She changed her hair color from blonde to dark brown-ish (with purple streaks), which shows how something relatively small can totally change someone's appearance.

NXT Takeover: New York
Getting the crowd to go from nearly 100% wanting Cole to win, to popping huge for Johnny finally pulling it off was an impressive piece of work.

NXT Takeover: New York
I didn't hate it or anything, but it left me wondering if Jeff Jarrett booked the main event.

NXT Takeover: New York
Never been a fan of 2 out of 3 falls matches, most of the time it's just on autopilot until the third fall and everything else is just killing time.

NXT Takeover: New York
This can be an evergreen post for every NXT show.

NXT Takeover: New York
Oh man, Pete vs WALTER is going to be a clubberfest!

NXT Takeover: New York
Man, Dream is either going to be the next mega super star or the next NXT guy Vince doesn't "get", there's really no in between is there?

NXT Takeover: New York
Huh. DAZN ad on WWE TV, wasn't expecting that.

NXT Takeover: New York
Guess we know who's winning the SD tag belts at Mania now.

WWE Hall of Fame 2019
I always assumed the Legacy Wing was like their equivalent of the Veterans' Committee for the NFL HOF, basically a place to slot old timers most of today's fans wouldn't have heard of but deserve recognition.

Mania Week Insanity 2019
I just love Wrestlemania week for the WAR-like random combinations that turn up in photos, like The Lucha Brothers and Ric Flair. Also Bruce Pritchard shared a photo of the Fink, which I think is the first time he's been out and about since he had the stroke.

So Alica Atout will be the backstage interviewer, she was pretty good in Impact so that was a good get for them. Justin Roberts will be the ring announcer, so everyone be careful of those neckties.

WWE TV 04/01 - 04/08: The Brazilian Military Dictatorship started in April Fools'...
Basically it comes down to how hands on WWE is with this. If they let Fox do their thing and/or let their people who appear on it do their thing (like how Talking Smack was), it should be pretty good. If WWE insists on it being produced like a backstage interview segment on a FS1 set, it's going to be terrible.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
Ever forget something, then get pissed off when you remember it? I just did that when I remembered the ROH/NJPW show and NXT are on at the same time on Saturday. *edit* I just remembered NXT is on Friday!

Hunter for thinking Sami Calahan would make a good hacker in NXT? No, that was in 2014.

All Elite Wrestling
The statement they released kind of makes it look like JR won't be a regular part of their commentary, maybe just special events or just Double or Nothing?

WWE Hidden Gems
My theory was always something like this: after he puts in his notice that he's going to WCW, Vince being Vince (and it sometimes gets forgotten how crazy vindictive even by his standards Vince was around this time) decides to put him in a high profile match at Mania for him to to the job, Hall balks for whatever reasons, and Vince just happens to schedule a drug test. It just kind of fits all the personalities involved.

WWE Hidden Gems
They were running the angle for a while with Razor and Goldust, and I'm pretty sure the story was Scott Hall didn't like the homoerotic undertones of it and managed to get himself conveniently suspended.

They just announced both battle royals and the cruiserweight title match will be in the preshow. I'm guessing the Andre will be during the 6-7 hour being aired on USA, but what was the point of having the guys from SNL involved if they aren't even on the main show.

JR was probably the best Talent Relations guy WWE had, at least until HHH ended up remaking the position when he took over. Announcing, eeeh. I can see him being more invested in this this than he was in New Japan so that should help. Also Excalibur is really good so maybe he can do more of the heavy lifting, but will JR be able to set aside his ego to allow that? (not exactly a diss on JR, anyone seen at the top of their profession at one point would normally have issues in a role where they weren't the lead guy). Also as far as I know Marvez has no experience announcing, so that could go either way as well.

I wouldn't be able to buy kick-ass babyface Miz against anyone else but Shane, so it works for what they are doing.

Shoutout to the person in the front row during the Bryan/Kofi segment holding the US Virgin Islands flag. Probably one of the most random things I've seen at a show.

Watching now, I loved KO exiting stage left as soon as Randy called AJ a bitch. His look of "welp, it's on, so I'm out" was priceless. Also I can't unsee Billie Kay looking like a muppet version of Flo the Progressive Lady.
