Bray Wyatt passes away
You are correct, I was just speaking in a general "both guys got their hearts fucked with due to COVID" sense. Both guys got sick, both had scares where it might not have looked good for a moment, and then ended up getting better. SRS mentioned as recent as two weeks ago there were preliminary plans for his comeback being kicked around. He was getting set for his big Keith Lee return moment.....and then this.

Bray Wyatt passes away
So it looks like the issue that kept him out was Covid that caused heart issues, sounds similar to what happened to Keith Lee only with a less desirable ending. Bray wasn't to everyone's tastes but he was clearly very passionate in what he did and had an impressively devoted fanbase. Plus by all accounts Windham Rotunda was a generally good dude who had young kids, which makes this all the more awful.

AEW Fight Forever (and other AEW video games)
https://www.fightful.com/wrestling/aew-announces-stadium-stampede-mode-will-be-playable-aew-fight-forever-82423 Fight Forever getting a Stadium Stampede mode later today, gonna be a battle royale (as in Fortnite not a rasslin battle royale) completed with a full stadium map. Looks like it's going to be fun an at the very least it shows their promise to keep adding to the game wasn't just marketing BS.

AEW TV - 8/23 - 8/26 - Visa Issues Kept This From Being Made On Time
Dynamite was very much a "we don't want to have anyone get injured days before the biggest show of all time" vibe, but they sure sold the shit out of All In.

Say what you will about Jericho (and he deserves most of it), but that was a fucking money promo.

Excalibur solemnly hyping the Draft Kings deal while they were scraping Fenix off the mat was unintentional hilarity.

Santana and Ortiz are back, sweet. I guess they settled their personal beef too, or at least enough to work together again.

I'm really enjoying MJF's "babyface, but still kind of an asshole" deal.

WWE TV 08/21 - 08/27 OG Dragon Ball is peak action adventure stuff
I feel like with the way NXT tells stories, there's only two ways the Thea/Jacy stuff will go: either Thea is going to act like she's going heel only for it to be a SWERVE at the last moment, or it will be another ill advised heel turn.

Also is it just me or is heel Bron just not clicking for anyone else? You'd think with his genetics he'd be a natural but he just seems like Generic Heel #708 now.

Dom definitely not used to working with someone as fast as Dragon Lee, but that was a fun mixed tag.

There were signs along the way, we all saw angles go on too long in NXT. Shouldn't have been a shocker when we see it now.

To be fair, they had to crown another champion because they booked themselves in a corner because they had Roman beat Brock to win both belts. It wasn't so much because Roman was champ so long, but because they already established he was unbeatable. They need to have two top titles to keep both TV partners happy, so here we are. Also he's been champ since 2020, and there was something else going on in the world at that time that played a part in him holding the belt that long.

As someone who became aware of hockey in those trash Penguins years pre-Mario, the Nords were always the team I would root for vicariously.

IIRC Hunter said once a while back he's a fan of long title reigns. Plus it does make titles meaningful if they aren't being traded like Pokemon cards every week.

I'm not entirely disagreeing with you, but you can't just be a good wrestler and succeed in WWE. There has to be some sizzle with the steak.
