Alvarado Family goes wild, destroys UG's car.
Dave mentioned this may have a ripple effect considering La Mascara is really good friends with Rush and Psycho Clown is married to Negro Casas' daughter, Firing him might cause them to choose between business and family, which is a big deal considering the Munoz family (Pierroth/Rush/Mistico II/Dragon Lee).

Alvarado Family goes wild, destroys UG's car.
Mainstream press is picking up the story, including revealing Psycho Clown's identity so it should be interesting how AAA handles the "we swear it's really going to happen this time " mask match with Dr. Wagner.

Alvarado Family goes wild, destroys UG's car.
Cubsfan story link here . Basically Brazo de Oro was the head of the CMLL wrestler's union and the family felt the position should go to one of them when he died. According to SuperLuchas, Ultimo Guerrero either was or will be given the job instead, so the family (including Psycho Clown who's scheduled to main event TripleMania for AAA) went nuts and destroyed UG's car in the Arena Mexico parking lot. La Mascara was involved as was Maximo, and both are off shows for the foreseeable future. Normally something like this would be the kick off to some big angle, but not only is CMLL way too conservative to ever do something like that, masked guys were shown without their mask so there's nothing like that happening here. Also UG mentioned on Facebook he's pressing charges, so this might have an ongoing impact on the lucha scene.

WWE TV 5/8-5/14: Braun Injured Out 4-8 weeks
The injury is legit, he said the 6 month recovery time is a work so he can show up sooner and have it be a surprise.

What if... Vince chose Bret over Shawn?
I think it gets forgotten how messed up Shawn was through most of the DX period, if he goes to WCW I don't see how he doesn't end up following the same path as Scott Hall.

Honestly, people should block Lana for constantly re tweeting little girls and creepy men going "YAAAS KWEEEN" over everything she does.

WWE Network... It's Here
Did the legal wrangling over the old Superstars of Wrestling shows ever get straightened out? It would be neat if that ends up as a content dump at some point.

WWE Network... It's Here
The uploads have sure got quiet recently beyond the usual weekly TV episodes.

Yep, that pretty much sums up my feelings on the situation perfectly. Mine too, I just felt like Randy was the wrong person to make the case for his side since he's the kind of guy who makes you want to disagree with him on principle no matter if he's right or not. It is a bit...odd...I guess would be the right term, how people on both sides have a near religious fervor at times about their particular side. It's not like you would watch a WWE show, a New Japan show, and then say a CMLL show and be surprised they all have a different approach to how they lay out a match. I think Dave sums it up best that if the live crowd goes wild for it then it works.

It just struck me that Randy Orton of all people becoming a spokesperson for the Old Ways when he was groomed for success from day one and never had to try to make a name for himself on the indy scene. Seems like an asshole thing to do criticizing guys for doing whatever they can to get themselves over (even if it is too much) when he's never had to do it himself.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Loner aside, why would the devious villain who breaks people's fingers for fun want to team up with guys like the Young Bucks? Like why would his character even want to be in the same room with them?

Current New Japan
Looks like there's going to be an IWGP United States title created for the Long Beach shows.

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 4
It's amazing when you consider rumors were bubbling since the mid 90s that he was going to have to retire due to hip problems.

Weirder smark obsession: Roman Reigns or Women's hair?
I will say it's funny to see WWE women always tagging the "glam squad" in social media posts when a lot of the time they get made to look like little girls who got into their mom's makeup.

WWE TV 5/8-5/14: Braun Injured Out 4-8 weeks
I think there's a bit of good cop, but I think it's clear he has a different opinion on a lot of things than Vince too. I seem to recall back when he was still the heir apparent there was rumors of how he wanted to do wacky things like get rid of the ring, so his current standing as the sane McMahon who's the hero to the masses will always make me giggle.

She is a good dancer, which is what made it even more hilarious that the video that came out from the NXT show was so bad. She was trying to dance a style she apparently isn't as familiar with and it was Tim and Eric Show levels of awkward to watch.

When she was super protective of her gimmick it was fun, especially when her and Rusev would post pictures of themselves scowling at American monuments while traveling. Now it's like 70% reposting obsessive fawning fans, 20% pimping Total Divas, and 10% responding to the "haters" who point out that she looked like a cat trying to walk across a frozen pond doing the dance gimmick.

That new Lana gimmick seems like a terrible idea to begin with. No idea what the fuck they are thinking. It did lead to a hilarious time on Twitter after the video came out of her doing the gimmick in NXT, and everyone was clowning it. She spends like 95% of her time on Twitter vanity searching obsessive fans telling her how great she is so it lead to some great in and out of character meltdowns.

So i wonder what they're waiting for with Lana's debut. At least with the New Day there's an injury to wait on (of course there's no reason the other two couldn't have shown up already), but Lana's getting close to Emmalina territory already.

Matt keeps doing the Broken mannerisms more and more blatantly on TV, they have to have made some sort of settlement or else surely WWE would have told him to knock it off by now. I'm guessing Team Euro wins the titles when Matt does something crazy and misses, leading to him "breaking" and they more or less redo the TNA angle in WWE.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Literally the only reason I ever go there is because I have the ongoing list of WWE Network additions bookmarked. I think I clicked on a discussion once and noped the fuck out in record time.

Right, and at the time most people thought they went on to live relatively normal lives in retirement once they weren't getting their brains bounced around anymore. Then we found out that wasn't the case in most of those. That's the truly scary part, that guys like Bryan seem to honestly thing their brains have healed completely and the odds are heavily against that being the case.

I think knowledge of concussions (which goes back practically to the dawn of time) gets confused with newer revelations about long term effects and things like CTE. Sure, even cavemen probably knew that getting hit in the head is bad, and that repeated head trauma can lead to bad things, but it shouldn't be glossed over the lengths sports leagues like the NFL in particular went to fudge the data. Up until recently, things like post concussion syndrome was seen as something that primarily only happened to boxers and some unlucky football players like Troy Aikman and Steve Young. It was really only in 2002 when Mike Webster died and Dr. Omalu started making direct connections did everyone start to realize the long term damage of head trauma past the concussions themselves. So it wasn't "no one knew about concussions", but more "no one really knew how fucked up people with multiple concussions would get later in life until someone not in the pocket of the NFL did research".
