WWE Network... It's Here
Not to mention UFC Fight Pass apparently has every show from all the groups they've purchased available, and WWE only has the full run of Nitro and a handful of other episodes from other groups. It sucks, but it's a self fulfilling prophecy. They don't ever promote it so it doesn't draw a lot of views, so they don't promote it because it doesn't draw a lot of views. Clearly by their marketing they think people only care about PPVs and original shows. It's the same mindset that led them to ruin the Invasion angle since they could never put over the WCW guys even though they owned the property. Vince just can't seem to get behind promoting another company's product even when he owns it.

WWE Network... It's Here
The 2011 Smackdowns are starting to upload now, nearly completing the SD library just in time for the network's third birthday on Friday. Also WWE.com announced there will be a George Steele collection uploaded on Friday as well. Probably going to focus on the Savage stuff and the TNT skits where Captain Lou was teaching him how to talk, but they might slip a few 70s matches in there as well.

WWE TV 02/20 - 02/25
Did I miss any mention of Ivan Koloff on TV this week? Obviously George Steele would be more important in the "nothing prior to 1984 ever existed" WWE mindset, but considering Bruno is back in the fold there was a chance to give Uncle Ivan his due as well.

Uh, am I in some kind of bizzaro world here? Pointing out a screwup is now being upset about something. I mean, maybe they should have called an audible like Vince did at the Rumble that got screwed up (minus the blown quads of course) but no one's getting legit upset here. More like "lol, that didn't go as planned now did it". My initial post on it was JR being his usual self pretending that people were actually mad instead of pointing out the obvious screwup.

Well that's an appropriate level response for pointing out that WWE is pretending something happened that clearly didn't. Obviously it's not something warranting getting the tar and feathers out over, but apparently any mention of the obvious is seen as hysteria to some.

WWE TV 02/20 - 02/25
JR was being his usual passive-aggressive self on Twitter asking why people were mad about the end of the battle royal. "Was it because it was a draw", no Jim it's because the company is trying to pretend it was a draw when anyone with eyes could see it wasn't.

Dave Meltzer stuff
The funny thing is that you can go all the way back to the days of the three hour Nitros to see that the pattern even then was a drop off in ratings in hour three. No matter who or what was put there, that hour would go off a cliff. Same thing is happening now, so in addition to everything else wrong with three hour Raws it will be used as proof "X isn't a draw" when they put someone they aren't 100% sold on in a main event position.

Also surprised they managed to work in a Russian hacker joke in the New Day/Rusev/Jinder/Lana segement. I guess Vince really doesn't pay attention to midcard stuff after all.

Stoked to see him bust out some of the LUCHA BRAUN moveset he was using on the houseshows. I popped for the audible gasp from the crowd when he did a kip up.

It's also embarrassing when they keep repeating stuff like saying Jackie Robinson is the only person to have his number retired by every team in a sport (99 is retired in the NHL for Wayne Gretzky). It makes them look like they are putting in the minimal effort possible.

RIP George Steele
He once faced a jobber who was able to pop his shoulder out, which made his flying hammerlock look like the most devastating move on the planet.
-
Dave Meltzer stuff
He does have a point that it's kind of patronizing that they only seem to honor the same 5-6 people each year.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Yes. The story goes someone tipped off Linda at (I believe) a party that Zahorian was being looked at by the feds, so she was able to give the heads up so that there would be no direct links tying the company to drugs.

Charisma goes a long way, and the Rock (character) was a heel first before the fans basically turned him since it's near impossible to hate the guy.

WWE TV - 13/02 - 19/02
Poor Enzo is really the worst victim of the "Vince hates managers" edict. His best use would be as a guido Jimmy Hart and be the annoying pipsqueak manager who the babyface can get a big pop from beating up, but instead we're subjected to him trying to be a full time wrestler instead.

Looks like the rest of the Smackdown catalog is the latest content dump. Glad to see they are moving quickly since it soothes the OCD types and hopefully gets them closer to getting back to adding actual classic content. Also they are adding a HOF 2017 category with the Rock n Rolls in a new-to-the-Network match against the Midnights in a Mid South tag team title match.

WWE Hall of Fame 2017
New Jack should be inducted just so they can have "Natural Born Killers" play during his entire speech.

Wrestlers who were too soon or too late
I'm not saying Dean's career didn't work out, but he wasn't as appreciated at the time by most as much as he probably would be now. If anything I'm saying he'd likely have even more impact now than he did then since his style wouldn't be seen as having a hard cap like it did in WCW,

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Is this a case of Delirious trying to do everything himself and things are just falling through the cracks, or is he just kind of a shithead?

Wrestlers who were too soon or too late
Dean Malenko. Got pegged as the emotionless boring guy in the WCW Cruiserweight era next to all the lucha guys and strong personalities like Eddy and Jericho. Imagine if his prime was right now as either the workhorse of 205 Live or an opponent to the UK guys.

Holy Grails
That was the thinking for a while because it was last minute, but here's the card per Graham's site:

What Happened When with Tony Schiavone
I honestly think it has to do with the Network. People can go back and watch him on shows like Saturday Night and realize he was pretty decent at one time and only fell into parody when WCW got to the point no one involved gave a shit anymore.

WWE TV 07/02 - 13/02
That reminded me, I just watched the recent episode of Criminal Minds where Otunga had a cameo as a strip club bouncer. Let's just say we can't lay all the blame on WWE writers.

Yeah but NO ESCAPE sounds like the name of a so-bad-it's-good 80s action movie, possibly starring Steven Segal.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Isn't the story that Anthem is the same company that produced those albums or something? Also it seems after all this time they're finally dropping the TNA name and going full speed with IMPACT WRESTLING.
