WWE TV 07/02 - 13/02
Apropos to nothing, but since WWE's YouTube page has hype vids for upcoming shows in every language now it made me realize what a better name NO ESCAPE is for this show (they don't use the name Elimination Chamber in Germany for obvious reasons).

Ring of Honor Wrestling
I don't know if there's any substance behind it, but there's been rumblings for a while that people were growing frustrated with Delirious's direction for the company. It's been cited as the reason guys aren't re-signing and why Corino left. Plus ROH sent a letter to WWE over Corino visiting the PC while still technically under contract so now WWE won't talk to guys until 60 days after their ROH deals end, which surely has pissed some guys off looking to take the next step.

WWE Network... It's Here
A new Legends with JBL just dropped with Stan Hansen, could be an interesting watch.

WWE Network... It's Here
Going through the New Day Collection, and my god those intro videos/first couple of promos. Reminded me of how WWE has done a better job with them than even with Daniel Bryan in convincing people that them getting over they way they did was the plan all along.

Funny, Tozawa was the first 205/Cruiserweight guy who was able to get the crowd into a match last night.

Dave Meltzer stuff
"Bucks have done okay". So now making more money than they would in WWE is just okay now. *insert Jennifer Lawrence okay gif*

Dave Meltzer stuff
I'd imagine because everyone was probably asking about it and he felt the need to address it. There's still a fairly large section of fans online who still think Cornette can do no wrong because he managed the Midnights and booked SMW. I'm not sure why people still think that since his body of work since the mid 90s has not been that impressive.

Dave Meltzer stuff
But it's stuff he's continuing to say, and using everyone talking about the WK 11 match to get himself over at Omega's expense. He acts like he's the Arbiter of What's Acceptable in Wrestling and goes on a bitchfest when someone doesn't meet his standards.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Interesting, I had the exact opposite impression of him. To me he sounded like someone who didn't really want to bash a guy who is obviously a legend in the business but at the same time is tiring of listening to his bullshit. I don't listen to Corny's podcasts/shoots but apparently he's telling stores about Omega's time in ROH that are inaccurate, and in a business where your reputation can get sunk by someone telling tales on you, I can't blame him wanting to set the record straight.

Wow, news just dropped that Kevin Kelly is leaving now as well.

Vince doesn't have employees! He has indep- *strangles self with own necktie* I do wonder if Sami Zayn being too outspoken politically led to the heat Dave said he has rather than him complaining someone "stole" his move in the UK tournament. The timing seemed like it was a clear "stfu about that stuff" situation.

NXT talk
NXT has been flat, there doesn't seem to be any firm plans for a weekly UK show yet, so putting the UK guys on NXT for now seems like the best thing for all involved. Also I guess this means the UK championship is an actual defended title and not just the prize for winning a tournament?

Trump
It seems fair to mention him in a PWO context, he has a long history with WWF/E and the company (usually) would give a body part for the type of press being seen with the President would give you.

Speculation on the WrestleMania 33 card
To be fair, while not as high profile for sure, Cena's almost certainly going to have a far better match with Miz than trying to do much with whatever's left of the Undertaker.

Speculation on the WrestleMania 33 card
Also Nikki Bella is now the Executive Producer of Total Bellas, so an in ring proposal from John would be an ideal MUST SEE EPISODE of that show.
-
Trump
Apparently there's noise on Twitter about people canceling the Network due to the Trump affiliation, but I have a feeling that's like when #CancelWWENetwork trended after Roman won the Rumble and it ended up being their biggest signup day ever.

Trump
He hasn't exactly been the most popular guy, even places you'd think would be welcoming like Harley Davidson plants are canceling planned appearances due to fears of mass protests. Last thing WWE wants is any negativity on their big weekend. The most political they'll get is anything involving Linda which can be handwaved by just saying they are happy for the family.

Mattel would get mad at them.

Speculation on the WrestleMania 33 card
It's not about making the best matches anymore, hasn't been for a while. It's all about making the best Wrestlemania Moments they can put in video packages and do Network specials from.

I wonder if they'll name someone else as GM or just forget it exists.

WWE Network... It's Here
There was a time around 1999 or so where they let Jimmy Hart book Saturday Night more or less in it's own universe which was pretty good.

WWE Network... It's Here
The only thing about WWECW is that they were pushing You Know Who right up to the week of everything hitting the fan, and that might make them reluctant to put that up.

Ring of Honor Wrestling
Purazzo appeared on NXT, Impact, and ROH within weeks of each other, which is kind of amazing when you think about it.
