I believe he did at some point in OVW.
  2. Most of the wrestler deaths from the 80s were due to rampant cocaine use taking its toll on hearts already pushed to the max by steroid inflated bodies. Most of the 2000s wrestler deaths came from enlarged hearts due to the PED of choice switching to HGH. The only exception really were the ECW guys who were a combination of a non stop party lifestyle combined with the punishment they took. Of course a lot of the WWE policy is largely PR, and there's clearly guys not being tested and/or skirting the system, but there have been some positive aspects as well. Bottom line, Vince doesn't want guys dying on his watch, which despite it being largely a CYA measure is a good thing for the guys involved.

If they trademarked it, which all accounts seem to suggest they did in 2009, they kind of have to in order to protect their trademarks. Dusty and Dustin worked under the Rhodes name prior to WWF/WWE but Cody never did. They trademarked "Cody Rhodes" like they would any other person coming up through developmental. Also this is why second/third generation guys are never allowed to use their family names anymore.

This. Coming to the ring dressed like Mexican Magic Mike is not doing him any favors.

WWE kind of has to do something. It's too big a story for them to ignore it, especially since they just had another top guy pop less than a month ago. Their publicly stated policy says they have to do something, and they can't pretend they don't know about it. I mean, yeah they could do nothing, but WWE in 2016 is to phobic of bad PR to do that. It's more likely they wait for the hearing to see what exactly it was he popped for, and if it's a PED and not something WWE wouldn't test for like cold medicine they'll issue a 30 day suspension retroactive to the failure date so he can be back for SummerSlam.

I don't often pine for the old school mentality, but stuff like that makes me wish someone like Asuka would deal out some Bill Watts justice to people like that.
  7. They can do what they did for Roman and have the 30 days start from the time of the test (June 28) so the 30 days would be up by SummerSlam.

Brock got popped by USADA, so now we see if WWE counts it as a Wellness Failure which they technically should.
  9. The exchange between Shane and Steph where Triple H was mentioned leads me to believe she will pick Bryan as her GM as a suck up to the crowd, Shane will counter by picking Hunter, then Vince will pull the "swerve" and switch them. There was also something with the app publishing then quickly deleting a story about the Yes Movement being welcomed to Smackdown which makes me think he's the plan there.

I'm not saying you guys are wrong but it still seems incredibly nitpicky.
  11. It's bad enough they have all these writers and end up copying ideas from other companies, but to do it within days of the original ideas comes off as bush league. Especially when their versions of both were far inferior.
  12. They had Biff Busick work under his real name on TV for a few weeks then repackaged him as Oney Baloney or whatever his new wacky name is.
  13. This might be proof of Time Traveling Simon Gotch.

I think it really gets undersold how much Alexia Bliss has improved as a heel. I remember when she first debuted with her fairy gimmick and blue hair I couldn't see how she could be taken seriously. Now she's great mean mugging fans and having tantrums at the referees, My only issue with her now is sometimes she's too cartoonish with her Angry Video Game Nerd scowl,
  15. To be fair (and I can't believe I'm saying that in regards to Russo) is that the eventual pitfall of all bookers is falling in the trap of "this worked really well once, so let's never deviate from it". It's just that most bookers have a longer period of good stuff to counterbalance and/or negate the bad.
  16. During the fireworks battle all I could think was "I bet this is how Jeff sees the world all the time".
  17. That's what made his Twitter spat with Loss even more hilarious. His first response was all BRO BRO I NEVER BLAMED OTHERS BRO I DREW RATINGS (BRO), and Loss just responded with tons of examples of him throwing other people under the bus when his ideas failed to get over. Like you could tell from how quick the replies came it was off the top of his head and it didn't take him any time to think of them. It was really quite something seeing him get pantsed in public like that. TTK mentioned before about Russo's rep as a backstabber, wasn't that the whole point of why Hogan sued him that Russo went into business for himself in their angle and pretty much took advantage of the opportunity knowing Hogan couldn't really defend himself on TV? I mean when you think of it, the only ones who have ever been able to put Hogan in a sympathetic light were him and Gawker Media.
  18. It's like the Hardys' whole careers built up to this moment. It's almost a shame TNA still is going forward since that will never be topped and would have been the perfect way to go out.
  19. Pretty sure the first one was on 24/7, so it's ready to go.
  20. Even with the gap for new shows, there's still several years of Raw and Smackdown missing from the archives. Also I considered ECW on TNN to be a continuation of the Hardcore TV show that is missing the first year or so.
  21. Stuka Jr also seems like the kind of guy CMLL could do something with if the people running the place gave any semblance of a fuck. Nothing spectacular, but it wouldn't surprise me if he benefited from spending some time in a new location.
  22. The rest of the Nitro episodes, up to the very end, are up now. There may be a stray one or two missing, but who'd have thought the first complete TV series up on the network would be a WCW show.
  23. Same as how they really felt he would be a face against Rollins valiantly coming back from injury to regain the title he never lost. It's like Vince is Will Smith in that episode of The Fresh Prince when he dad comes back only to leave him again. I can just picture Vince all teary-eyed asking Hunter "why don't they want him?"
  24. It's just sleazy from all sides. It pretty much just confirms what everyone suspected that Snuka was just working the judge, and it makes the Wrestlecon people look like they're enabling someone who may have gotten away with murder.
  25. It feels weird saying it was a great podcast considering the subject matter, but it was two people who knew him the most in and out of the business having a frank talk about the man they knew before everything happened.
