Speaking of hosses, anyone hear any word on how Mark Henry's doing? He went down like he got shot at the end of that match with Big E.
  2. sek69 replied to Death From Above's topic in WWE
If it does happen, would that not be the hoss-iest of hoss matches ever put together?

Funny how the only time in the last two years Roman was anywhere close to the level WWE wants him is when Vince was out there showing ass for the guy. Once they go back to the Authority Always Wins and Steph browbeating everyone, he gets booed again.

I think it will be legit in the sense that Vince is very protective of his father's legacy and wouldn't do something like award it to himself. I think that's where Dave was coming from, if it was named after anyone else it would be fair game, but the fact that it's VJM named on it makes it a little different.

They really seem to think Ambrose turning on Reigns will totally result in people being sympathetic toward Roman after having his best friend betray him, instead of the more likely outcome of Dean getting the biggest pop of the night.
  6. Didn't DDP's injury come from him trying to protect his opponent on a superplex that got fucked up and caused him to land wrong so the other guy's neck wouldn't get broken? Also I agree that every wrestler should take the test Bryan took, but I would gather there's probably a large percentage of guys who won't want to for fear of what the results would be and/or being told they have to retire. It's become a running gag that WWE keeps doing angles where they say the people they employ live in constant fear of getting fired since they'd be homeless without WWE, but the truth is a lot of wrestlers probably don't have a Plan B if their careers end suddenly.

That's completely insane. No matter how wrong you feel Titus was here, it barely warrants a suspension let alone a firing. Also I'd be extremely curious to find out who the people were who wanted him gone over such trivial bullshit.

Just finished watching this week's show, and that main even was pretty great for what was pretty much Bayley having a match with a practice dummy. I don't mean to completely dismiss Carmella since she has shown improvement, but I was amazed to see Bayley out there looking like mid 80s Ric Flair carrying that broomstick.

Breaking Ground is the best thing that ever happened to Barron Corbin. Once that show aired, a lot of people realized he's not just a guy playing a character but he really is a grumpy asshole IRL. I think that made him come off as more genuine rather than just A Dude Playing A Gimmick,

As soon as anyone starts off comparing this situation to anything that would happen in a real world job, i stop reading because IN NO WAY is working for WWE (or any wrestling company) comparable to a normal job with a normal boss.
  11. It kind of got buried in all the money talk, but there was mention of wanting to add something like 1500 more hours of archive content in the 4Q presentation today.
  12. sek69 replied to Ricky Jackson's topic in WWE
Looks like his suspension was already reduced to 60 days.
  13. Well I would like to think that if people KNEW he was having seizures after concussions the opinion would have changed. We knew he was having lots of concussions but didn't know about the seizures. Not sure if he mentioned them in his book. I'm wondering how did he pass the tests from UCLA and the Arizona Cardinals' team doctors (which is what made WWE the bad guys) and they apparently never saw these lesions or detected the seizures. If you're undergoing tests at a top level neurology center they aren't just flashing a light in your eyes to get you back in the game like a football coach, they do enormously involved testing.
  14. If we're talking TV moments, Jimmy Garvin and Sunshine being forced to work at David Von Erich's farm was great.

A second failure is 90 days. However there was never any record that I know of that he failed anything before.
  16. sek69 replied to Ricky Jackson's topic in WWE
There has to be more to the story. Even if Vince was just pissed at the guy touching him (and it's well documented that people in wrestling freak out if someone grabs them unexpectedly), a 90 day suspension that will cost the guy a WM payoff seems like a ridiculous overreaction.
  17. I wonder what the viewing stats ended up from the territory dump they did before Christmas. It's hard to tell if there hasn't been any more added due to low numbers or due to them apparently having a schedule of dumping one bucket at a time.
  18. There's shows on there where the picture or sound glitches out for a few minutes and they run the "sorry for the bad quality but it's the best they can do" crawl on the bottom. I think there's just a certain point that if it lasts too long they don't want to upload content that poor quality.
  19. sek69 replied to Loss's topic in WWE
Not quite WWE TV related, but they put a video up on their YouTube channel of Nikki Bella already hitting the gym. Considering how little time has passed since her major neck operation, that seems like a really bad idea.
  20. It seems like accidentally-on-purpose double booking yourself would be pretty low on the list of things a company would never bring someone back for. Dude's probably in line for a top level push in New Japan, no way ROH would not take him back unless they found dead hookers in his trunk.
  21. sek69 replied to Loss's topic in WWE
Lol Bryan's at the show semi-live tweeting and mentioned they did a " Thank You, Fans" video which no one in the crowd bought.
  22. sek69 replied to Loss's topic in WWE
What strikes me as odd is so far they seem to be pushing HHH vs Brock when all indications point to WM being the Roman Reigns Debutant Ball.
  23. Does it upset you that Steve Austin got the Stone Cold name (or more accurately his wife at the time did) from watching a documentary about an actual real life murderer?
  24. I think it's probably the most important feud in WWF history. For one, Austin's early promos were what shot him from "that dude who used to be the Ringmaster who had an endless feud with Savio Vega" to the biggest star the company ever had. Then not only was the double turn great, it set up the US/Canada stuff which led to DX, which finally led to HBK/Austin passing the torch to kick off the Attitude Era.
