WWE Network... It's Here
Looks like they are back uploading Raws, they're almost done with 1995 now. It's interesting to watch them evolve from the early 90s cartoony era to a proto-Attitude era. It's amazing how much WCW launching Nitro gave them a kick square in the ass. Goldust's TV debut was one of the shows recently added and it struck me how much better he looks in 2014 than he did in 1995.

I get the impression Charlotte's been told to get used to working a more toned down WWE Diva style to prepare for her imminent callup. As you stated, she seems to have hit the wall recently and the booking seems to suggest she's going to drop the title and move up soon.

Online Wrestling Discussion (Community)
Yeah, those were the days. I think back in the early days there was more of an "exclusive club" feel since not everyone had access to watch stuff that wasn't shown on TV locally. It certainly lead to a higher quality discussion once the playing field leveled and it just wasn't a select few who were able to talk knowledgeably on various subjects.

....and yet kayfabe wise he's responsible for bringing the Undertaker to the WWF.

So with all the fuss about the Network and the lack of them making any attempt to survey people on what they want to see, I found it quite funny to get a survey from WWE asking how interested I was in the Stephanie McMahon workout DVD. When I responded "not interested at all" it seemingly no sold my response and went on with the survey as if I indicated I did have interest in it.

Dave Meltzer stuff
I believe so. Now it seems to make sense why, no one in power seems to think anything he says is wrong. I still don't know how he didn't get torn in half when he used the n-word to Mark Henry though.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Also was I reading that wrong or did it seem like Dave was saying WWE was expecting Rey Misterio to speak out on their behalf as if he hasn't been telling them to fuck off as loud as possible for nearly a year?

What's really disheartening is how once again WWE gets away with shit behavior. I don't fault Alberto, all he wanted was to be able to do what he wanted with his career, but at the end of the day WWE can keep on being racist shitheads and all it really cost them was letting someone out of a non compete to work places not directly competing with them.

Vince cutting a promo on the Liverpool fans might be the most Vince thing ever. You run 15 shows in 6 days in a country you just blue balled on getting the Network at the last minute and you're shocked the crowd is dead for your B show taping?

The Summer (Spring?) of Brock, book it Vince!

He also showed up in ECW for a match or two as well if I remember correctly. Tully wasn't blackballed, WCW just didn't want to pay him what he felt he was worth after he failed the test since they were in one of those "pay everyone as little as possible" time periods. Somewhere along the way Tully found Jesus and off he went.

I also seem to recall another WCW management change between when Arn/Tull agreed on their deal and when they were supposed to start. The new regime wanted to cut costs and used the test failure as an excuse to pull the offers the prior crew offered.

ECW CyberSlam 96 has Brian Pillman's "smaaart maaaark" profanity laden promo uncensored, that was unexpected.

Southern accent I'd assume. Perhaps he was trying to Cajun it up a little since the Wyatt's backstory was they lived in the swamp.

I'm actually digging how they are building the main event for Survivor Series so far. They've made a point of showing how Team Authority don't really like each other and how Team Cena's game plan is basically "fuck it, let's go down swinging".

Hearing an apology for interrupting the Russian anthem just broke my grew-up-on-80s-wrestling brain.

So from how the Steph/Lana interplay went down, it kind of looks like Rusev might be the one who turns on Team Authority. If that wasn't planting the seed for something, it was quite the ball-chopping of the gimmick.

WWE Network... It's Here
They've apparently decided no one wants to watch anything that happened before 1995 (except for the first year and a half of RAW), so it looks more and more unlikely we'll ever see any of this stuff.

It's hilarious to consider if the network had all the content available that was on 24/7 at one point or another it would eliminate nearly all the complaints people have.

I think the BrainBusters were on their way out, since failing that drug test was the excuse used by NWA/WCW to pull the offer they made to Tully.

So the other day it was in the daily WON update that it was the anniversary of Bockwinkel's first AWA title win in 1975 over Verne. I've never seen that one before, and I figured if anyone would know where to find it, it would be someone from here.

Plus if they're chanting Jackie Chan at him they can't even be racist correctly.

I'm not big on the usual troop-fellating stuff WWE does, but the segment on Smackdown with the paralyzed soldier walking in the exo suit was pretty awesome.

I can see the argument that it went a week too long, but it would have been silly to have one guy clean house on the team that was pushed as Road Warriors 2.0 for over a year and are moving to the main roster. I'm surprised to hear about the racist stuff considering what a huge reaction he got for his debut. Especially since the NXT crowd seems to be a lot more tuned in to the non WWE world (see also: Sami still getting the Ole Ole chants).

Dave Meltzer stuff
With Finn Balor's NXT debut tonight, it should be mentioned how odd it was Dave made a couple mentions of him not liking the direction they were going with KENTA. He was upset they had the Ascension beat him up a few times in a row, with the implication they were going to use him as a job guy or something. i mean, he had to have read the tapings result and knew it was all leading to something.
