  1. So this was an interesting paragraph from a link on the WO site hyping an interview with Davey Richards when he was asked about the Wolves' one week WWE tryout: “We did a one week tryout for them and that was about it. It’s not somewhere where I longed to work for their travel schedule doesn’t work for me. I’m not moving down there and getting trained how to wrestle again I’ve already been trained and if I don’t’ have it now then I won’t have it.” Made me wonder how Eddie feels about having his WWE chances fucked over by having such a selfish twat for a partner.
  2. That's kind of why moves like the Cobra or the People's Elbow never bothered me. Sure, they're silly, but as long as they're sold as finishers they fit in the established world of pro wrestling physics and psychology, What gets on my nerves is when someone takes a bump in a way that just so happens to line them up perfectly for the top rope move their opponent is about to do to them. Bonus points if they notice after they bump that they're out of position and have to wiggle like they're making snow angels in the ring to get correctly positioned.

I mean, perhaps Jerry just had a brain fart, but usually when that happens Vince screams in someone else's ear to jump all over them for it and that didn't happen.

Because Lawler did say that, when they were showing the replay of Rusev putting him in the camel clutch.
  5. I've been a Observer/F4W subscriber for a while, can't recommend it enough. Yeah, Alvarez has his unbearable moments (usually when he's doing his heel troll gimmick to someone like Todd Martin), but most of the audio shows are top notch. Bryan & Vinnie shows now feature Bryan's friend Craig once a week and he's been a great addition with his comedic deadpan timing usually eliciting lolz.

So according to Dave on the latest WO radio, WWE is retroactively saying Swagger tapped out to Rusev at the PPV and apparently that was the blowoff. Nice to see the former Iraqi Information Minister was able to land a new gig in the field of telling people what they saw isn't what really happened.
  7. Hasn't everyone ended up manipulating Dixie? Certainly Hogan and Bischoff did, they got her to remake the entire promotion around them and convince her going head to head with WWE would be the kick off of a new Monday Night War era. Then after everything failed, they counted their cash and went home. You could argue Bully has as well since TNA is pretty much the largest ECW nostalgia promotion right now.

I like how right after the Lana promo last night, the WWE Creative parody twitter made a comment along the lines of "Lana was referring to some other current event and totally not the one you're thinking about".....then today the real WWE issued a non-apology basically saying the exact same thing.
  9. Probably not a good sign that the future ruler of the kingdom posts twitter pics of himself working out all hours of the night. You get the impression everyone in WWE is expected to spend every waking non-in ring hour of their day in the gym or risk being seen as someone who doesn't really want it.

Anyone else notice they are pushing the Network as the way to see every PPV "this year"? Seems like they may be setting the stage to make certain shows PPV only next year, but I think those bridges are already burnt with the providers that already dropped them.
  11. AJ returning looking noticeably thin on an already incredibly tiny frame was kind of scary to see as well.
  12. I don't think Watts was racist, I think it was just a matter of being a product of his time and probably using words that were acceptable in his era that weren't in the 90s.
  13. So did RVD return to his home planet or did he just look at the jobber battle royale he was booked in and decided "fuck this"?
  14. All I'm saying is the women who have been recently called up to WWE have all had much better performances in NXT and I chalk that up to the difference in how each show is booked. Also there's a chance that Dunn's hate boner towards NXT plays a role as well.
  15. It's not a matter of cutting WWE women slack, it's that WWE sees the women in a certain slot and likely won't give them much chance to do more than we've come to expect from a WWE women's match in 2014.
  16. So are they trying to make Ambrose-HHH the new Austin-McMahon here?
  17. Jesus Christ, don't get all pissy Dylan. You're the one who said they couldn't wait to bury the PPV after one match, don't get mad when people call you on it.
  18. No one really should have expected WWE to do anything different, lets be honest with ourselves here.
  19. lol so much for WWE taking the high road....
  20. Seems like Dylan is just itching to bury this show so badly. Are we now expecting 5 star matwork in Divas matches now?
  21. That was like someone watched CMLL and decided to make the match two quick falls and one awesome third fall.
  22. TNA needs Spike to exist, Spike hates Russo, his booking was the reason they put in the "no man on woman violence" rule. So does all that mean when Bully puts Dixie through the table we could be watching TNA's R. Budd Dwyer moment?
  23. So the TV network that provides your only means of survival doesn't want him around, the Japanese promotion you're working with for international exposure freaks out at the mention of his name.....does Russo have some Dixie/Serge/Farm animal pics in his possession that makes TNA keep him around?

It's wrestling. It's fake. If smart people are writing/booking they'll tone down their act for a bit, but the act is good. Of course they shouldn't go out on the next show and salute Putin and troll America, give it some breathing room, but it's not like they need to scrap the act I could go into more specific political talk, but it's pwo, and as a wrestling angle/act Lana & Rusev are perfectly fine. I would recommend treading lightly on it for now though I'll let the obvious joke about smart people writing pass, but my concern is when has WWE been known to tread lightly on something they think could get them publicity?

Cena-Brock doesn't need the belt to make it a big match, but it does in the sense that it seems silly to bring Brock back and never give him the title match he demanded the last time he was around.
