Having the monster heel quit mid-match and not have it be leading up to some angle to get the heat back makes it seem like someone's not getting a free pass on the Wellness test anymore.

Puerto Rico Wrestling
WWC posted pictures from the event showing they came pretty close to selling the place out, looks like the show did great business.

Not to mention it's been the elephant in the room for a long time that other than a few guys at the top, UFC pays shit relative to how much money comes in. What's really ironic is that Bryan has mention several times the costs fighters incur while training, like when UFC 151 got cancelled and pretty much fucked everyone on the card who'd invested in a training camp assuming they were getting a pay day out of it. Plus I'm pretty sure Bryan was making "loltna" type jokes when whoever it was had to take a job selling sunglasses at the mall while knockouts champ.

I'm surprised they didn't find some other role for him since he's one of those rare people in wrestling that literally everyone likes.

Anyone else think it's weird how ROH is spinning this Briscoes deal as not about Sinclair punishing them for stupid tweets, but as part of their long term booking plan? That was the idea when Jay won the belt, to have a brother vs brother match with the shortest build possible then write them out indefinitely?

Can we just call Samoa Joe "that poor fucker" now?
The only thing I could see being a burial was how when he was at his most obnoxious, Michael Cole would spend the entire time belittling the guy. Sure you could say "well at least he was on Raw instead of jobbing on Superstars", but it went on for so long it seemed like he was never going to get his comeuppance. It always seemed to me they had him slotted in the role of "midcard guy who can have good matches who can carry the guys we want to push on top" until the Raw after WM when he lost in 18 seconds. Looking back, it was a clear case of the hardcore WM travelers who felt they got slapped in the face, but that seemed to open the eyes of people backstage who weren't sold on him. Ever since, he's been pushed as a guy who can hang with the top stars and not seem out of place.

Pretty sure Cena's not dating whatever Bella that was anymore. Also if they gave any thought to Total Divas when planning storylines they would have broken up Natalia and Khali since the Bellas tweeted photos of going to her batchelorette party as part of the show.

A proper end to the Briscoes saga would be for WWE to sign them and have them do an Ambiguously Gay Duo type gimmick.

I'm sure no one involved even realized it, but it was something seeing RAW end with Daniel Bryan doing a kendo stick assisted crossface move on Benoit murder anniversary day. He's come a long way from being fired for work-choking a ring announcer with a tie.

I would assume so, since they run all the Attitude Era stuff unblurred and with WWF mentions un-blanked out now.

They actually mention in the story on WWE.com that the shelves are bowed from people climbing them.

Another great Foley interview, his discussion of the politics of playing Santa Claus is way more entertaining than you'd expect going in. The discussion of how WWE nixed all in ring plans for him because he couldn't pass an impact testing was kind of scary. Obviously you know he's a guy who's likely to have issues in that area, but him talking about feeling he was underwater all the time and how he can't ride rollercoasters anymore was a stark reminder of how much punishment he's taken.

Correct me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't Low Ki just go to places like Japan for short runs? It seems like he's self-aware enough of his shithead-edness to not stay in one place too long.

AAA iPPV fiasco
Well that was unexpected, AAA is putting the show up for free on their YouTube channel. Part one is already up.

AAA iPPV fiasco
I felt this deserved its own thread, since it's one thing for indy groups like ROH to have these kind of problems but it's really inexcusable for one of the main promotions in a country to have a complete failure on this level. Short story is that AAA was offering Triplemania via iPPV on uStream yesterday, and it completely failed. Not a "the stream is laggy or broken up" thing, but completely failing to air any of the show. Worse, it took AAA almost halfway through the show to acknowledge there was a problem, and even then they are throwing uStream under the bus saying it's all their fault. Now keep in mind uStream has been showing New Japan iPPVs for months now with little to no problem so it doesn't seem likely they suddenly forgot how to stream a show. AAA is coming off as extremely bush league in all of this, and most likely killed off what could have been a nice little extra revenue stream in the process.

The Daniel Bryan push is starting to look like the classic "we're going to act like we totally intended him to get this over when clearly we didn't" WWE maneuver.

I can't help but think if/when Joe watches Raw, this is his reaction:

Can we just call Samoa Joe "that poor fucker" now?
What's mind boggling is you'd think TNA would have pushed the hell out of him to convince others in his position to stay with TNA instead of going to WWE. Instead he was put in one forgettable angle after another in between periods of being forgotten about.

I know no one wants to see the McMahons in a TV angle In Twenty Thirteen (tm Bryan Alvarez), but Vince had me cracking up being a dick on Raw tonight.

I stopped watching Pawn Stars when I realized how badly scripted it was getting. I know it's silly to stop watching reality TV because it's fake, but when they are that obvious about the work, it becomes harder for me to get lost in the show and enjoy it. Maybe that's the real problem with pro wrestling; for some people, it's too ridiculous to get lost into the work to really enjoy it. I never realized how scripted it was until they had a guy on there offering to sell two rare NES games. The guy was someone pretty well known in retro gaming circles, and it's kind of a running gag how important those games are to his collection so there's no way he'd sell them. They made him a ridiculously low ball offer on the show to explain why he didn't sell them, and he's "kept kayfabe" about it ever since.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
Well I can only speak for me, but I don't mind TNA. I wouldn't say I'm a superfan, but it has a place on my DVR list with CMLL, WWC, ROH, and Raw/Smackdown. Of course the 80s territories would be better, but that doesn't mean I can't like TNA now. I think it strikes a chord with me because it has that lovable loser vibe like WCW where they fuck up but there's usually some good wrestling to be found. Perhaps I'm just not as critical as a lot of others, I just enjoy wrestling that is available on my TV.

Early Hulk Hogan
It seems like the only time he did any jobs was as the Super Destroyer very early on, but once he was Sterling Golden/Terry Boulder he was being put over everyone and having DQ finishes with the top guys pretty quickly.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
I still don't understand why it seems so many people want TNA to go away. They may never get to the level of WCW at its peak, but why would a fan of wrestling want to see a company go out of business and put guys out of work? Is it that hard to enjoy TNA for what it is? Then again, I've always noticed how it seems pro wrestling seems to be the only form of entertainment where the most diehard fans seem to also hate it the most. You really don't see movie buffs saying small studios should just go out of business because they will never be able to compete with the big companies with hundred-millon budgets.

I don't know if you follow current WWC, but if so I wanted to ask if Super Fenix is supposed to be Gilbert under a mask or are we just supposed to think that, setting up a swerve? This week's TV had them doing skits trying to figure it out but sadly my Spanish isn't good enough to be able to follow long promo segments fully.

They have a few USWA matches up on Classics On Demand as part of the HOF feature on Jerry Lawler this month.
