Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Speaking of WO.com and girls, anyone else notice how often that pic of Christy Hemme ends up on the front page? It's almost like the default photo unless some breaking news happens. Perhaps Bryan has a secret redhead fetish?

Things I learned by listening to Dave Lagana's podcasts.
More tidbits - Apparently CM Punk hates everyone except the dude that had one eye. -Dave Kapoor (Rajin Singh) pulled a Cornette and completely destroyed his knee taking a meaningless bump.

Things I learned by listening to Dave Lagana's podcasts.
Spent some time listening to the "Formerly Creative" interviews he's done with other former members of the writing team, and a few things stood out: - Writers spend hours upon hours of their day in meetings that 90% of the time end up being pointless. - Vince will be 100% on board with the content of a show before getting on the plane, then by the time the plane lands the show needs re written because people on the plane with him convinced him otherwise. - Apparently everyone who's ever been on the creative staff has a Michael Hayes impression. A Vince one too, but that one is usually more flattering than Hayes. - Hayes likes to sell the creative staff as one big family that's one for all and all for one, then spends all his time on the private jet with Vince while the rest of the staff is riding the bus. - In the interview with the guy who has the fake eye that he popped out on Raw, he mentioned how when they were rehearsing the skit Steph brought her kids down to ringside. He ended up rolling out of the ring on the side they were on and scared Aurora to death because he had his (fake) eye in his hand. Steph was pissed but when he relayed the story to Hunter in the context of apologizing for scaring the shit out of his kid, Hunter thought it was the funniest thing ever. - They pretty much all confirm in one form or another that Hollywood acceptance is one of Vince's near-quixotic goals and almost every decision made is at least partially done with that in mind. - Vince is pretty much the best guy ever, if not demanding to a ridiculous degree, but practically everyone else in creative comes off like a self preserving douche. Even Steph seems well liked by everyone, which seems to be the opposite of the "she's a female version of Angry Vince to everyone" stereotype. - Promo sessions take hours due to most of the roster needing to do several dozen retakes. Naturally as former creative guys it was implied that was because the wrestlers were bad a promos instead of them being bad a memorizing horrible material, but Lagana did casually mention during his time at ROH it didn't take nearly as long to get guys to nail promos.

TNA finally sends Jeff Hardy home after ruining PPV main event
TNA just posted this on their Facebook page: Looks like this is as close to admitting Jeff fucked up the PPV as they can legally admit to.

TNA finally sends Jeff Hardy home after ruining PPV main event
If it's a shoot, I'd wager they thought he could get his shit together enough to work at least a basic match (something he's probably done before). Then when he comes down, the ref checks him out, sees he's not even close to being in good shape and everyone calls an audible. I'm sure this will become an angle no matter if the initial incident is legit or not, and actually that's kind of worrisome. If it was a shoot at the PPV, then after the fact making people think it was part of the show is right up there with WCW making Scott Hall's alcoholism part of his gimmick.

Rey/WWE Problems
For as long as he's been putting off surgery I'd be more shocked if he didn't have some sort of "issues". Dude's got to be a walking pharmacy at this point.

WWE quirks, linguistic and otherwise
With the current storyline of Randy Orton punting Nexus members back to developmental, starting a drinking game for every time someone says "skull" on Raw would result in someone dying from alcohol poisoning.

The conspiracy theorist in me points to Hunter and Steph. Being in movies like The Chaperone won't do HHH any favors. My vote goes toward it being a vanity project for Vince to feel he's in legit entertainment since that's been the motivation for all his failed non-wrestling projects ever.

Dave Meltzer stuff
The funny thing was I read that line and literally was like "wait...what?" and had to re-read it. I don't know if it's better or worse that it seems that Dave's MMA bubble is more or less his pro wres bubble only with more mentions of rounds and less mentions of roids.

The 2011 WWE HOF Thread
Sunny is like the female version of Goldberg in the sense that while her time may have been short but she was hugely popular for the time she was there. "Most downloaded person on AOL" sounds like the usual WWE hype bullshit, but she was the hottest chick in wrestling right at the time the internet started taking off. It is kind of ironic that she goes in the same year as HBK though, considering the role he played in what caused her downfall.

I know Babinsack is as low-hanging as low-hanging fruit can get on the internet, but there's nothing about that writeup that doesn't convince me his walls aren't covered in pictures of WSU girls like some kind of women athlete Beautiful Mind deal.

My wife is playing Family Feud for Wii. The question was "name a job that can risk your life" and one of the correct answers was "wrestling".

CM Punk has been gold since I've started following him on Twitter, him and Regal are by far the best wrestling-related people on Twitter.

I can't tell if he's serious or if it's really good trolling, but Eric Bischoff has been using his Facebook page as a soapbox to rant against the evils of unionization and government overspending. And yes, a good majority of people replying are pointing out the irony of the guy known as ATM Eric saying that.

The 2011 WWE HOF Thread
Sometimes I wish they would put in a straight up jobber like Terry Gibbs in the HOF since it's the one last bastion of kayfabe where IT'S STILL REAL to everyone.

It's supposedly a combo of the Brock Lesnar Memorial "Burying the Guy Who Got the Megapush" deal to see if he can handle it and that Kevin Dunn didn't like Sheamus's look and wanted to change it. How dressing like the world's palest Lord of the Rings cosplayer was an improvement is anyone's guess, but I never stop laughing at Dunn being down on someone's look after seeing a pic of his ugly mug.

Did Graham's latest fallout with WWE happen before or after that DVD came out?

The 2011 WWE HOF Thread
This. Anyone outside of the "main event" picks need someone to lobby for them, and I don't think anyone in a position to do so would go to bat for him.

Dave Meltzer stuff
Dave's always mentioning talking with Dana or something Dana tweeted, so I'm going to take a wild stab at who could be planting this seed in Dave's brain about no one knowing what Strikeforce is.

Gay jokes
Rock just killed him again on Raw, so I guess one bright side all the gay jokes will probably be forgotten if they keep this up.

I'm just glad the Spirit Squad guys could find work in this economy.

Jerry seems to have a hard time accepting that time marches on, he didn't want to be put in the Hall of Fame because that's for old guys who are retired. Ironically his program with Miz might be proving him right to a degree.

Is this another one of those weird Dave blind spots where he won't hear any bad talk about someone who everyone else dislikes? I haven't seen anyone else not say Bruce is full of shit at best if not borderline crazy at worst. Dave seems to give him way more benefit of the doubt that he would anyone else on the same subject.

Serious Greatest of All Time Candidates
I would have to think Santo (Sr. not Jr.) would be a no brainer considering his status in Lucha. I don't think the country will shut down for a day of mourning when anyone else mentioned passes on.
