Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
Also it's mentioned in today's update that they are wanting to do the Virgil/DiBiase angle with Cena where he is forced to do Nexus' bidding until he snaps. I guess they just can't pull the trigger on the heel turn for him. I can't imagine the 5-10 year old demographic being that lucrative considering they have no money of their own to spend. By the way, was Tarver just written out of the Nexus last night? Barrett had that line about Cena doing him a favor since he was thinking about getting rid of him, and then they just never mentioned it again. Husky and Joe Hennig are a huge upgrade anyway so I guess it doesn't matter.

If I'm remembering correctly, Muta was billed as Kabuki's son at first (hence the connection with the green mist) and that's how Gary Hart became involved since he managed Kabuki for a while too. I think it might have been one of those angles completely invented by the magazines to be honest.

Not an in house WWF track, it sucks. Duh. Yeah there is a WWF/WWE bias on the board. Muta in WCW may have been the coolest thing professional wrestling ever did Muta and Gary Hart together may have been the coolest thing professional wrestling ever did. I always loved how Gary Hart was like the Jake Roberts of managers. He would almost never scream and yell, he'd just state how his guy was going to beat the top babyface's ass.

Hell in a Cell thoughts
Also, while WWE is probably going to blame Paul Bearer for being Too Fat To Move, Undertaker is quickly turning into Joe Namath in his last season with the Rams level of painful to watch. I give him credit for sticking it out, but maybe they should tell him to ease up on the high flying spots since he obviously is too banged up to keep doing them.

I recognized Husky when they showed the replay, but I never realized who the first guy was until people started talking about it online. It probably didn't help that Joe Hennig is the most "looks like every other dude" kind of dude ever.

Good Will Wrestling #6
Pegasus makes it too easy with his nonsensical opinions that he usually can't even defend when called upon to do so. For example, if he would say he dislikes Memphis because it stretches the suspension of disbelief that a midget like Bill Dundee could be seen as a top heel. I wouldn't necessarily agree with him, but I could see how someone could think that. Instead, he just lays out blanket statements that are offered up like a slow pitch softball for everyone else to tee off on. I mean this is the territory that had silliness all the way up to the 90s with Glen Jacobs as the Christmas Creature, yet Pegasus can't give any examples of Memphis wackiness he doesn't like.

Jesus fucking christ. I wasn't aware I could possibly hate him even more than I already did. Every time I hear some prick expound on how women are inferior to men, especially with a religious motivation, my pimp hand must fight back a terrible urge to go on a bitch-slapping rampage. There is a lot of truth to this quote though I don't agree with using religon as an excuse as I'm not religous. BUT there are some important things that have to be specified otherwise things may go wrong which I won't go into detail on here. I would never tell someone exactly what is said here because I wouldn't want them to go about things in the wrong way. Female dog slapping is a derogative term to women which makes them look inferior to men btw. So you agree wives should submit to their husbands?

How big of a deal is this week's Smackdown anyway? It's been said many times that wrestling fans will find wrestling on TV no matter where you put it, regular viewers of SyFy despise wrestling being placed on their network, and the only place it was even advertised was during RAW.

Isn't the reason lucha guys can work into their 60s (or 70s depending on how old guys like Canek and Mil really are) the fact that they take bumps to the side/rolling instead of flat on their back? Flair had to bump that way due to the back injury and he made it through pretty much his entire career without a serious injury.

All these stories about TNA make me wonder if Dixie isn't more like Vince than people realize, only with better social skills.

WON 2010
I'm more worried about the lucha candidates, unless someone current jumps to WWE I don't think anyone will get in from Mexico other than maybe Dr. Wagner Sr.

WON 2010
So I'm thinking it may be time for Dave to tweak the threshold needed to gain entry to the HOF. The voting base seems so ...watered down or spread out that almost no one but the no-brainer candidates will ever hit 60% it seems. I mean, would anyone make the argument that there were only two names on this year's list worth inducting? There's not enough people voting from outside the US for anyone from Mexico or the UK to get in, and most of the eligible people from the US have the stigma of "if they were that good, they would have been elected in by now" and probably won't get in until they get to the point where Dave puts them in as a historical candidate. I'm guessing WWE guys who become eligible will start getting the official Dave Push next year since it seems pretty clear no one else is getting voted in.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
As mentioned before, Bryan has a strong dislike for both excessive stiffness and people bullying like Bob Holly. I don't want to read too much into it, maybe he's thinking that Michelle feels that she can fuck with the newbies now because of her martial status?

Dave Meltzer stuff
Didn't Gabe have a meltdown when Richards signed with ROH? I seem to recall him referring to him only as Wesley (SHOOT NAMES WERE UTTERED~!) and much bawwww-ing over Davey being the guy EVOLVE would be built around until he decided he'd rather work for a company that can actually draw.

And bless him for it. He looks relatively slim in this grainy pic of his return: http://i52.tinypic.com/2ia8msw.jpg He had a gastric bypass a few years back. The last photo I saw of him was at one of those conventions where he looked slimmer but had loose skin that made his neck look like a vagina.

You're probably right. Someone should do a comp of all the times HHH was able to bury someone in a promo and the person on the receiving end was not allowed anything more than "you're right".

That reminds me, Oliver's whole "I know what happened between Savage and Steph in Germany but I'LL NEVER TELL" deal is worse than him getting butthurt over people reporting his top secret MMA newz storiez IMO. It comes across sometimes like he's proud to be the one person who knows What Really Happened and by not denying the sleazier aspects it sort of implies that's exactly what happened.

One of the things that I always found funny was that as jealous of the Rock he is, Triple H could have been just as charismatic if he didn't spend so much time being Serious Angry Wrestler Guy. When his character allows for being funny he was good at it more often than not.

Dave Meltzer stuff
So Dave is going over the HOF nominees this week in the WON, and I think he's pretty much just fucking with the British wrestling fans at this point. His bio of Big Daddy was barely two sentences and left the impression he was the Erik Watts of his day by pointing out he was a star when his brother was in charge of the promotion and that he was clearly the worst worker of all the nominees.

WWE quirks, linguistic and otherwise
Anyone else notice WWE is doing a lot more of the "set a match, undo it, and then put it back with a slight difference" thing? They did it again with the 6 pack match, taking Jericho out for no reason only to put him back in and make the match an elimination. It was kind of funny to hear how puzzled Dave and Bryan were on WOL trying to figure that out.

Again, douchebag, this board used to be more than just pro wrestling. Of course you weren't here then because I doubt you could hold a conversation on any other subject. But by all means, keep with the "OMG 6000 PRO WRES POSTS!", it just proves how thick headed you are.

Ridiculous quotes from WO.com columnists
I guess that's my problem, all the good stuff seems to be on SuperStars that while I DVR it I don't always watch it. It just gets frustrating to watch guys you know WWE will never get behind, so I guess it's a defense mechanism to not want to start getting into a guy who could be endeavored at any time.

I agree on that, the 80s projects are the only part of DVDVR I was sad to leave behind. Also the lucha folder did get me back into that genre, so there was that. I guess it was largely the WWF folder and all of the constant "I hate this show, I can't wait for next week" stuff that made me want to choke a bitch.

Wow, everyone's so ANGRY now. And yeah, if you actually read any posts on wresting I've ever made you know I'm the last guy to make the "hoss's must suck" argument. Let me turn the tables, what exactly is all this excellent Chris Masters work I'm apparently not seeing? When has he been interesting in the least since the end of the intial "the Masterlock is unbreakable" push?

6000 posts in 5 years dating back to when this place was more than just pro wres talk. I'm not a post count = dick size kind of guy, but I don't think that kind of output is excessive. You don't consider what you write to be columns, fine. I'm not going to argue semantics. Just don't pretend you're breaking any new ground when DEAN~! was doing reviews of random Japanese indies six years ago. Also I think that if I ever reach the point where I'm posting on the internet to entertain people like yourself, that will be the day I hang up my keyboard. I've never been a "I hope I can sit at the cool kids' table" kind of guy, not going to start now.
