Is the empire crumbling before our eyes?
If Mercedes is interested in napalming that bridge, she should give that writer's lawyer a call. I would bet money she has some info they'd liked to hear.

His DDT is great, but to me Arn's best move was the spinebuster. The snap he got on it was sick as fuck.

Okada's dropkick is so smooth it became a big spot in his matches. He's a pretty tall guy too which makes it even more impressive. I've mentioned it before, but Miz is the greatest Sports Entertainer I've ever seen. He does all the things WWE wants their folks to do better than anyone else. Arena Mexico, and no other place comes close imo. History, legendary matches, great atmosphere. It's called the cathedral of lucha for a reason. Plus it's been doing it every week since 1933. MSG could have been a strong contender but other than that NJPW/ROH show there hasn't been any show of note there in like 20 years.

WWE TV 4/24-4/30 Cody's into scars now
So I guess Roxanne and Tiffany are getting the callup, Indi winning over them makes no sense other than that.

That explains why there was one Brazilian dude going mental for my Hounds, he probably had money riding on it

Also dual screening the Riverhounds winning their US Open Cup third round match, and surprised at how the chat in the Bleacher Report youtube channel was like 60% Brazilians speaking portuguese. Didn't know a match between second and third division US teams would be popular down there (paging bubba @KawadaSmile)

So I wasn't expecting Bunny to have a singles match, given the angle he did with Dom, but I'm sure him and Priest can have a fun brawl.

Like Risk but with wrestling territories.

The Von Erichs in their prime may have been the babyface-ist babyfaces who ever did babyface.

To be fair, it's not like WWE isn't known for doing fuckery when it comes to promotions they view as a potential threat.

Honestly considering how Japan is culturally, it's not as wild an accusation as you might think. It's not like racism as in they dislike black people, but it's more like they see them as a curiosity which in a way is kinda worse. Like how Bob Sapp was a big star there just because he was a big black man in a country where that was pretty rare to see.

To me the funniest part of the story is that Punk would go visit the company he felt tried to kill him when it's in theory being run by the man he famously doesn't like. Yeah you can say he was visiting friends but it felt like poking the hornet's nest with a stick, the fuck you think was gonna happen?

I know they think it's building intrigue, but constantly mentioning how the draft can break up teams just hammers home how stupid it is.

Kicking off RAW with Finn trying to recruit Cody was certainly a choice.

Wrestling has wedged itself so deep in my brain, that when I'm watching French soccer and every time they mention Grenoble my brain adds "....in the French Alps"

Entrance Music
It absolutely fit them coming back from Brawl Out, but it's diminishing returns each time. I'm not saying there haven't been great in house produced themes, but for my money nothing hits like someone using real music to get the crowd amped.

So it looks like they really wanted to sign Trinity Fatu but they are under pressure from Bushiroad to keep the costs down. I suppose she wasn't just there to cheer on her BFF at the Tokyo Dome after all. I also wonder if they are being told to keep the costs down also partly due to how women's wrestling is viewed in Japan. It's cool that they got to do matches on New Japan shows, but you can tell the crowds are still getting used to women and men's matches on the same show. It does seem like Mercedes helped bump up the NJPW World subs a bit, so that's why I assume they're going to do what they can to keep her around. It would be something if she ends up being involved in improving the standing of women's wrestling in two different countries.

WWE TV 04/17 - 04/23 Bestbrook owned Booker
Just read an interview Big E did where he mentioned his C1 vertebra was fractured in two places, holy shit he's lucky he didn't get killed. Ironically it was probably the MEATYNESS that saved his life. He also said he's back to normal for a non-wrestling life and it's pretty much a matter if he can get to the point he can feel comfortable taking bumps. I can't blame a guy for thinking hard about a return after dodging a bullet like that.

AEW/ROH TV April 19-21
I watched a few GCW shows that Gringo Loco was on, and he was pretty good. I was expecting him to get exposed when they brought lucha guys in, but he held his own and as stated he is an excellent base (which is kind of a lost art outside of Mexico these days).

Sammy has potential, but my fear is if you give him a main event push he's going to do something stupid again. I honestly don't see anything in Jack Perry if I'm being frank, he is improving at promos but he still comes off as someone who struggles to show emotions that don't come off as ACT-ING. Plus just as a personal bias every time I see him all I can see is a long haired Dylan McKay.

my grandfather is who got me into pro wrestling, i'd spend summers at my grandparents house and the only things he would watch on TV was baseball and wrestling at 6:05 on Saturdays. He was a Bruno fan, as any proper wrestling fan in Pittsburgh was, but he got into JCP because my grandparents would go to Florida in the winter and that's when Dusty was blowing up as a huge star.
