  1. It made sense for HBK to do it in his match, since part of the angle was Vince trying to get him to go back to his old ways, but I guess HHH was just having an ego moment.
  2. Gunner Scott, which is Brent Albright's new WWE name, is also the name of a transgender activist. Har har, that wacky WWE.
  3. Rewatching WM 22, it's amazing how much of what was pushed the most got rejected by the crowd. Beyond Cena, Rey and Trish also got turned on pretty harshly as well. Is WWE thinking about reuniting DX or what? Seemed odd that HBK and Triple H would both bust out the crotch chop on the same show (Wrestlemania no less), unless it was just them being cutesy to the smart...err "traditonal wrestling fans" again.
  4. Which is why I said the Cena hate is getting out of control.
  5. I've not read that story...what's supposed to have happened? From what I've heard though Cena is always a great public entity and a real gentleman when he's out and about, really carries the company well and shows them in a good light at every occasion. The internet hate for Cena is out of control though, he's really not half as bad as anyone makes out, in fact, he's better than most of the nobody's that they juice up over. The WWE's handling of the whole thing I still find strange, but I'm sure they have some clue as to what direction they're going with him in the end. Allegedly Cena had a blowup at O'Hare airport, and it involved him dropping some F bombs that would have got a person arrested had not the WWE smoothed it out. Some people are now demanding Cena get the same punishment as Orton despite him not having the reputation for being a douche that Orton has.

He looks pretty much the same as he does in the pic in the Stuff article only with blonde hair, no beard, and lame tribal tattoo.
  7. WWE will be my favorite promotion ever if Trish keeps wearing thongs as part of her Mickie James outfit.

He's like the bad guy rich kid from an 80s teen movie.
  9. The Cena hate on the net is getting out of control. The story about him blowing up in the airport started on cut and paste sites (I haven't seen it mentioned on the Observer site yet) and everyone's already decided it's 100% true and Cena needs punished like Orton was.
  10. I want to believe the guy fired because of the Visine bottle was Sid. It just seems like something he'd do. As far as Gino goes, a lot of people who knew him seem to believe that he pissed someone off and that someone was probably mob-connected and Gino ended up in deep shit. The amount of cocaine found in his system would suggest that someone unfamiliar with drugs wanted to make it look like an OD.
  11. I know people probably hold back because of what happened, but Brody was really quite the douche to almost every US promoter. He would win titles then vacate them due to some injury that he always seemed to come down with when he was leaving the territory and was asked to job to someone. Was Brody even enough of a draw to justify him behaving the way he did?
  12. It seems like the US is the last place keeping to the "everyone cheer the faces and boo the heels" booking mentality. I know there was phases like the nWo and Austin where it was cool to cheer someone acting the heel, but when those characters ran their course it went back to "cheer this guy, and boo that guy". Forcing the fans to cheer or boo the way you want them to when they're trying to tell you otherwise just seems like stupid business. The mindset that WWE is stuck in that you have to be a face to sell merch is mind boggling as well. I don't think I've ever seen any wrestling shirt get worn more than the nWo one, and they were heels for most of that time when everyone in the mall was sporting the black n' white. I guess what my point was is not to abandon the face vs heel dynamic in pro wrestling, but to stop trying to herd the fans into what the company decided is the correct reaction to give someone. If a face is getting boos, don't have your announcers make the people booing feel like they're doing something wrong. Play into it like how they keep teasing with Cena. Wrestling is like any other business, you need to adapt or you'll end up in the dust like Verne Gagne.

Carlito is hardly a n00b either, since he was wrestling with his dad in Puerto Rico for years before coming to WWE.
  14. WWE 24/7 is running a "Women of WWE" special this month, and on it is the Wendi Richter vs Spider Lady (Moolah) screwjob. That's one of the "holy grails" I've been looking for, and if someone with 24/7 could cap it I'd be eternally grateful. If you'd be willing, lemme know.
  15. I was watching the Angle/Orton/Rey WM match and I noticed how many boos Rey was getting. Every time he had an advantage on either guy, a big portion of the crowd would boo. Even Orton got some cheers (the RKO did at least). I think the WWE is seeing a shift in its audience, and it's just not with John Cena. The fans are starting to resist more when it comes to cheering and booing who the company wants them to, and like Loss said, this could be the beginning of a fairly large shift in how wrestling is operated if fans just stopped reacting the way the company wants. Loss mentioned how the WWE would be smart to notice how the fans are reacting and start adopting a "cheer or boo who you want" mindset rather than the face vs heel we're used to. I think we may be heading that way no matter if Vince likes it or not.
  16. Everyone needs to go to www.rohvideos.com and download video #3 and see another AWESOME Cornette promo.
  17. High school, since he was like 14 or 15 when Davey died.
  18. It's not really that interesting of a story, he was annoying the piss out of people backstage and they don't want to have him following everyone around begging to come out of the closest on an episode of Impact. He's acting like this "first openly gay wrestler" idea is a gold mine and can't figure out why TNA or Spike wouldn't want the chants that you know wrestling fans would come up with at such a character.
  19. From what I've seen in OVW he isn't *that* bad, he's the type of guy that back in the 80s would have been a perfect tag wrestler, but these days he might be hosed since WWE sees tag team wrestling as an annoyance.
  20. Domino can't seem to figure out if he's doing a 50s gimmick or an Andrew Dice Clay gimmick.
  21. Harry told a story in his shoot interview how he talked to Vince at his father's funeral and Vince told him then he had a job in the WWE whenever he wanted it. The only thing Vince wanted was that Harry complete his education first. He told Vince he wanted to get experience around the world before starting with WWE so he would be more well rounded, advice he said came from Chris Benoit.
  22. Harry Smith and TJ Wilson were pretty kick ass as the Stampede Bulldogs. TJ, Nattie, Harry. I just have a soft spot for Nattie for 3 main reasons: 1. Her dad was one of my favorites when I was a kid. 2. According to that book on Stampede wrestling, she was the one who was taking care of Stu when he was on his deathbed. 3. How cool would it be to see a Dungeon trained female wrestler whomping some WWE Divas
  23. Apparently this Guther/Gunner Scott guy is Brent Albright from OVW finally getting his callup. I don't know what the deal is with giving him such a stupid name, but the guy can go so if he's paired with Benoit only awesomeness can result. I'm guessing Orton was there since his match with Rey was hyped before whatever happened to get him suspended. I'm guessing he'll have some off camera altercation before next week to explain his 60 day vacation.

Orton was at the SD tapings and was announced as wrestling next week as well, so who knows.
