  1. I'm starting to get the impression that a lot of people seem to think Angle's a dick.
  2. That actually would explain a lot, if he caught WWE sleeping and trademarked Captain Charisma before they did. It would explain why they stopped selling his merchandise and would be a reason for why they would offer him a lowball contract.

I'm not denying that, I'm just saying I don't see it happening as long as Vince "I Luvs Me Some Big Men" McMahon runs the company.

Rey Misterio, WWE Champion? Not likely, unless they make a title for the midget divison.
  5. Isn't it established that if a guy can prove he used a ring name before entering WWE, that they can't claim ownership? Isn't that the reason they always tried to give everyone a new WWE-owned gimmick even if they were better known as someone else before? Christian was wrestling as Christian long before entering WWF/E, I don't think they can claim that as WWE property.
  6. Marvel owns the Hulk Hogan name, due to WWF billing him as "Incredible" Hulk Hogan when he first started with them. It's also why he changed to Hollywood Hogan, WCW got tired of paying Marvel. Christian should be able to call himself Christian Cage at least in TNA, since it's easily proven that the name predated his WWF run.

Well one good thing about WWE's booking is that there probably weren't any long term storylines an injury like this would wreck. So what should they do with the HHH Memorial Gold Belt Championship? If Batista's out for a period of time, do they strip him of the title? How do you determine a new champ? Personally, they should bring back King of the Ring (or at least a KotR style tournament) for the next Smackdown only PPV and have the winner of the tournament be the new champion.
  8. He wrestled as Christian Cage before WWE so he has all rights to that, but how the hell did WWE not copyright "Captain Charisma"? Another victory for that crack WWE legal team....
  9. If WWE is stupid enough to let any more big names walk away (Benoit), I don't expect TNA to stick with JJ at the top guy.
  10. Let's not forget that the Carters aren't too happy with Jerry Jarrett, so I wouldn't expect them to continue having Double J as the main focus.

2006 is the year they push The Boogeyman and the Dicks, silly net fans.
  12. It's funny, a few years later Krusher Krushchev suddenly was a completely different gimmick and personality. It took me a long time to realize who Krusher was since he was ingrained in my brain as a huge monster.
  13. From TNA's website: Then in his update, Meltz added:

  15. Luger always reminded me of the retarded guy from Of Mice and Men, a simple guy who could tear you to pieces if so inclined but he's usually too nice to do it.
  16. You know, a lot of the problems faced by guys like Shelton could be fixed by being paired with someone who can talk. Too bad male managers are passe` now, imagine how Heenan, Corny or even Jimmy Hart could help some of these young guys who can work but can't talk.

Heh that was my first thought when Davari came out: "Coffey just wet his pants!" I wonder, was someone in Coach's headset telling him to act like that or was he being a cock on his own? It sounded like someone was fucking with all three of them, how can it be that none of them know the date of one of the company's top 4 PPVs? I agree with the opinon that King needs to go. Wrestling commentary works best with a strong heel color man and a face/neutral PBP man. Coach and Styles fit that best.

Vince must really be torn over what to do with Heyman, considering that fucking with his competitors is the only thing that's as close to his heart as making Steph happy.
  19. From her point of view, I can see why OVW booking would seem horrible. It's obvious she hates old school style wrestling, and that's the vibe you get watching OVW TV. It's the complete polar oppposite of what you see on WWE TV. In a twisted way, she has a point since being in a well booked TV show in no way prepares a guy for working with WWE.
  20. Considering the ratings and PPV buyrates, I think the fans are letting their opinon be known.
  21. Just think, some of the guys who got a bad rap for promos that sound like they were reading them off a card....they probably were.
  22. I'm almost afraid to ask, but how do they want OVW to be booked? More midgets and penis jokes? I swear, I watched the Tolands....err "The Dicks" on Velocity and I wanted to cry. They were facing jobbers, but they looked real sharp and ready for prime time....yet all the announcers could comment on was "they must be brothers, the only other way you could have the same last name is if they were married". That and being way too obvious that someone was in their headsets telling them to mention the name "Dick" every five seconds with emphasis.
  23. Stephanie has had a personal grudge against Heyman for a while, so I'm not surprised to hear she still wants him fired. The mind boggles at how stupid it will be when WWE either fires Heyman or lets his contract run out, considering TNA is building steam to potentially pose a challenge in the near future.
  24. Meltzer's statement is like someone who writes a football magazine saying they've sacrificed more than the players. I'm not doubting he gave up a lot personally to make the Observer successful, but his sacrifices pale in comparison to guys who sacrifice their bodies and in some cases their lives for the business. You think the Hart family thinks Meltz sacrificed as much or more than they did?
  25. So the nostalgia craze has affected Japan now too?
