Bret on WOL
Bret didn't want to job in Canada. You can see in Wrestling With Shadows that he was becoming too much of a mark for his own gimmick. He spoke about the Hitman like he was a superhero. Don't get me wrong, I think what Vince did was messed up, but in his mind he didn't see any alternative. This is Vince we're talking about, all he saw was his champion about to leave for another company and using his creative control to refuse to job in entire countries.

Bret on WOL
I know he isn't now, but he was for a very long time. I got the sense from comments he's made post-stroke that he was willing to accept what happened and move on, and I'm glad to hear that seems to be taking place. And yes, Vince did screw Bret, but I understand why he felt he didn't have a choice. It wasn't right, but WCW had him so paranoid he didn't want his champion showing up on Nitro with his championship belt.

Bret on WOL
I hope Bret was able to finally understand that Montreal happened because Vince felt he did what he had to do to protect his company and that Owen's death was a terrible accident. I hate to ever be on Vince's side on anything, but it was so sad seeing Bret still hung up on those events like they just happened. Anyone can tell you that until you deal with something you'll never move on with your life.

Chris Jericho taking a hiatus from wrestling?
I've always wondered why it seems that Keller dislikes Jericho. Any particular reason for it? Wasn't Keller the one who used to get info from X-Pac? I seemed to remember him being tight with the clique guys, and that opinion of Jericho sounds like it could have come directly from HHH's mouth to Keller's keyboard.

Funny downfall of WCW thread at DVDVR
I miss WCW if for no other reason it kept Mark Madden away from his day job of being the local Sports Talk Asshole. The day the legendary voice of the Steelers (and Terrible Towel inventor) Myron Cope retired, Mark had to be the one guy to bash him.

WWE writers are good for laughs
That would make sense, but they don't even seem to be teaching these people whay THEY want them to know.

WWE writers are good for laughs
These stories only put more emphasis on the question: why does WWE frown on hiring people who know about wrestling? That has to be the most ass-backwards system I've ever seen. I mean can you imagine that in the real world? "Well Bob, you have 15 years of experience in what we do, but I'm afraid my boss doesn't want to hire anyone who knows about our profession"

WWE trying to buy World Class library
That's some pretty funny irony, considering the long standing story that the good Cowboy was banging Dark Journey and she's prominent in the latter half of the tape library.

WWE trying to buy World Class library
I don't understand how they own Georgia footage and not Mid-South. I mean Vince got footage since Georgia-->JCP--->WCW--->WWE, so how come it doesn't work the same way since Mid-South--->UWF--->JCP--->WCW---->WWE? I'm not sure how I feel about WWE owning pretty much all of wrestling history from the mid 70s on up. I'm happy that it means the possibility for increased distribution, but (as someone who owns the one DVD Kevin did put out) there's something odd about watching 80s wrestling in a slick WWE produced package. World Class was one of the first wrestling companies I followed. I used to *run* home from school to make sure I didn't miss it when it came on at 4pm. I don't know if I like one person, especially someone like Vince, owning all my early wrestling memories. It seems like he buys this stuff as a "fuck you" to all the promoters who tried to beat him. It also worries me with the "less wrestling, more talk" mindset sweeping WWE. What if Vince gets hit by a bus and Stephanie decides to just lock up all the footage they own in a vault somewhere because she doesn't think people want to watch all that wrestling stuff? It's just odd they would purchase more wrestling footage when they want less and less wrestling in their own programming.

Forthcoming Warrior DVD..
The Blade Runners weren't as impressive as you'd think. I would never guess in a million years that they both would end up world champions. I will say, whoever trained Sting did a hell of a job. They both were at the same level then and Warrior stayed there.

Bret Hart at WWE Headquarters Today
Can you imagine the markout of the century if Bret came out somewhere along the line to confront HBK?

Bret Hart at WWE Headquarters Today
Hopefully this means that at least they'll change the name of the DVD from "Screwed" to something less disrespectful.

Starrcade DVD
They own the footage, so who cares if Sting likes it or not? They've included stuff with Bruno on DVDs already and I'm sure they didn't have an agreement with him.

Quotable wrestling
The best line was when Animal came out and challenged MNM to a tag match Nitro (I think) responded "You can't, your partner's DEAD!"

Bret Hart at WWE Headquarters Today
Not to mention Vince wanted to push smaller guys since the steroid trial was ongoing so that's why guys like Bret and HBK suddenly got main event pushes.

Unanswered Questions II
He was arrested when Kona Crush disappeared, and it's why he came back as "hardened criminal DOA member Crush" when he came back.
