WO news and notes (6-20-05)
I don't ever see a situation where HHH would leave RAW, unless there came a time the show was going to go off the air. He's spent way too much time having the entire program built around him to start over on SD. I'm thinking Batista will win the HIAC due to some hijinx designed to protect HHH (like Flair turning or someshit so that HHH has an excuse for losing) then Batista goes to SD with the HHH Memorial Championship. Of course that leaves HHH free to bury Cena so that A) No one gets to be a bigger star in the company on his watch and He gets to hold the actual WWE championship which they probably think would silence the smarks that bitch about the RAW belt being created for him.

Quick Observations
I guess it's probably due to him getting old, but what distracts me when Hebner's reffing is while he still takes bumps like a pro he sets them up in a way where he might as well announce it over the PA that a ref bump is forthcoming. It seems to be most obvious in RAW main events where he positions himself in a way that the only reason he'd be standing where he is would be for a ref bump.

It's sad when you consider that WWE has under contract some of the best writing/booking talents of the last 20 years, yet they (the company) only listen to people named McMahon.

Whats the beef with Steph and Heyman? It seems she has an almost paranoid grudge against him. Did he shit in her gym bag or something?

WO news and notes (6-20-05)
Sandman's theme was definately vital to his gimmick, his pre-match ritual was almost longer than most of his matches, and the crowd singing along to Enter Sandman while he shotgunned beer to the music was one of the coolest ECW experiences.

The only wrestlers who's themes were a vital part of his gimmick were Sandman and New Jack, and since there's no way New Jack was going to be on that card, all they really needed to get was Sandman's. Also, isn't kind of funny that Angle of all people would be transfixed on that when he's the only guy in WWE who's entrance has that type of crowd involvment (obviously not on the same level of course).

Comments that don't deserve a thread
Watching Smackdown made me realize that despite being light years better than any other SD! diva (and despite rumors about MNM only getting a push for her), Melina's probably never going to get to Trish Stratus levels in WWE because she's *gasp* ethnic looking.

ECW One Night Stand PPV
That would be silly to package them together, since anyone who'd want the PPV probably already has "Rise and Fall". Why make them double-dip?

ECW One Night Stand PPV
I bet Rey getting booed for doing his WWE spots will get edited, plus the "fuck you smackdown" chants.

ECW One Night Stand PPV
It's really bad during Randy Orton's entrance, his cascading pyro looks like sprites from an Atari 2600 game. I'd be interested in a copy of the ECW PPV, I'm in the camp that thinks the offical DVD will be edited (I bet the JBL-Meanie stuff will get cut).

ECW One Night Stand PPV
I remember having the same problem when Family Guy came out, disc 1 of the first set was messed up in the first two copies I bought. Considering how DVDs have been more often than not the only bright spot the WWE has to offer, it's shocking they'd release their top show in shit quality.

ECW One Night Stand PPV
I'm glad it wasn't just me, I got WM 21 from Netflix and I thought I got a messed up copy.

ECW One Night Stand PPV
Maybe he was tearing up because Vince kicked his basketball away.

More news
I guess after all the drama, Edge/Lita was a one night stand gone horribly wrong.

ECW One Night Stand PPV
What exactly is Keller "rocking"? Defending poor widdle JBL from the mean internet people? He goes from saying "WWE takes this very seriously" to "He won't even get a slap on the wrist". The only reason anyone in WWE would be concerned is that Meanie could potentially sue them since he's not a full time employee.

Out of ring incidents
I just have the mental image of Rude being dressed in one of his pimp suits he wore when he was DX's bodyguard, knocking Warrior silly, then adjusting his tie and walking away. I would of loved to see Bad News whipping 3 people's asses at the same time. I know he got a silver medal in Judo, but they must have been attacking him one at a time kung-fu movie style.

Rick Rude is hands down the coolest motherfucker to ever step in a wrestling ring.

Least favorite moments in wrestling
Back in my more markish days, finding out who the Black Scorpion was and Flair's subsequent stupid bob haircut was pretty cringeworthy to me. I was embarrassed for Ric to have to be seen looking like Brandon Teena.

Sign confiscation at wrestling events
See now, that's not bad because it was where people could at least see it, and it wasn't blocking anyone's view. The problem is, despite it being entertainment during bad TV matches, it annoys the people who paid to be there. Paid ticketholders > people watching on free TV.

Sign confiscation at wrestling events
Seriously, how fucking dumb is it to take a sign when you're sitting in the nosebleed seats at a houseshow?

Least favorite moments in wrestling
Pretty much anything they did with Molly was tough to watch, the fatass angle, the "prude virgin who wears granny panties" angle, not to mention strapping her to a chair and shaving her head at one of the most heavily pushed Manias ever.
-
Sign confiscation at wrestling events
Signs existed before, of course, but you didn't see people putting themselves over to the extent they do now. I just think it's a distraction to the people who want to watch the show they paid to see without some moron's unfolded Piggly Wiggly bag in their face.
-
Sign confiscation at wrestling events
I tend to agree a little with both sides. I don't think they should allow signs at shows, but since they do they shouldn't bust people's balls over signs that aren't obviously offensive. I keep seeing people mention the Monday Night Wars, but those are long over and signs in the crowd seem as dated as the RAW set.
-
Sign confiscation at wrestling events
Signs are annoying live, you spend your cash on a ticket only to spend most of the show looking at the back of someone's poorly made "HHH IZ TEH SUX0R" sign. On TV it's distracting because everyone in the crowd on the camera side seems more interested in seeing if their sign gets on TV than what's going on in the ring.

*marks out for Rude knocking Warrior the fuck out*
