Well, I think we could do a 2000 to present project. Unlike the '90s and '80s, there won't be an overflowing bucket of matches.

I googled every reference I could think of, and can't find a thing.... Is DVDVR planning on doing a best of 2000's, like they did for the '90s? We're two years + a couple of days away. Would anyone else be up to starting the project here?

Kenta Kobashi is back from cancer
Mark Henry is listed on the squat page at wiki, but his best squat was out done by a fellow American. And some guy from the UK holds the World Record for a dead lift. These guys are incredible. The most I've ever done (if memory serves correctly): Bench - 400 pounds - I was a senior in High School Military Press - 250 pounds - Senior Squat (P) - 500 pounds - In Marine Corps. Squat ( - 650 pounds - In Marine Corps. Curl (Both hands) - 185 pounds - Senior Single handed curl - 90 pounds - Senior Leg Press - 1800 pounds - Marine Corps. I'm no where near those levels anymore. But, I'm in far better physical shape (besides my time in the Corps.) now than when I was in high school.

Kenta Kobashi is back from cancer
Why? Given how he's proven himself as top level both in lifting and wacky strongman feats, he's pretty much the strongest man who ever lived. Henry is a legit strongman. Very powerful. Ryan Kennelly says hello. Now, before we get deeper in, what are we classifying as total strength? All events, or just particular ones?

I'm seriously hoping that's sarcasm about Mark Henry.

Dude, you made "love" to a weight bench....

QFT. Face it RE, your boy Kobashi has been juicing like crazy since possibly the mid/late '80s. Yeah, no kidding. When I rolled my car in November 2006, they ran blood tests to see if I was high or drunk. I don't know how wrestlers get past the whole thing. Maybe through their personnal Dr. who by passes the preliminary tests?

Yeah, considering the Road Warriors taught him how to "work out" properly.

Kenta Kobashi is back from cancer
Yeah, I don't know how anyone thinks Austin took any night off. That guy busted his ass every time he walked out to the ring. That's the reason he's not wrestling anymore. He can't do it anymore, and he doesn't want to half ass it.

Kenta Kobashi is back from cancer
That's one of the most overused sayings on internet message boards. "I'm creeped out" It's something high school girls, and freshmen college girls use in their lingo.

Pro Wrestling Only. A bunch of tough guys who are easily creeped out. ....(not everyone)......

Yes, it exists on tape. JDW's list is from awhile back I believe so he couldn't have been talking about this match since it came out on one of the New Japan classic type shows fairly recently. It is an obvious setup match for the Benoit vs Kanemoto title fight on 3/13/95. It gives the title fight some more story. I remember the match so if you want to know anything about it, I'll tell you. Almost every Benoit match that I know exists on videotape is right here. http://prowrestlingonly.com/blog/wildpegas...hp?showentry=26 I haven't updated the list in a long time and don't know if I fixed everything up in it. I don't have the heart for it anymore. However, I'm not going to delete it.

Wild Pegasus & Shinjiro Otani beat Koji Kanemoto & Black Tiger 3/7/95 - I believe this is the match JDW referenced in his NJPW pimping post. Does this exist on tape?

Holy shit. Santo has been in the same ring as Benoit?!?!?!? Please tell me this match exists on tape? 11/16/94 is the date.

Awesome. Sadly though, I don't have a SINGLE copy of the WON.

Kenta Kobashi is back from cancer
If you know he shouldn't be wrestling anymore, due to the seriousness and extent of his injuries, why are you happy he's back? The harsh reality is that he should retire. Once he was diagnosed with cancer, that should have been it, period. He's a mere shell of his former self, and it's hard to enjoy his matches anymore, coming from a personal perspective. The man is in continious pain, his knees are completely shot, and I'm sure the years of insane bumps haven't been to kind on the rest of his physiology. It's a guilty pleasure, and a selfish motive. People that claim to actually care about these talented performers still desire, and wish for them to perform. They do so even after knowing what they have to do every day to just function somewhat properly (stories about Kobashi taking bottles, entire bottles, of Somas and other types of pain killers). So please, don't sit here and try to paint a pretty picture, it just looks like someone had a seizure while holding a gallon of paint.

New Japan Match List That site has been that way for seemingly a few years now. It says to check back often to see updates, but as far as I can tell, it's never been updated since it's original posting.

Jesus. Keller should proof read his posts. AJPW from 1993-1997 says hi, Shawn. As does the WWF from 2000-2001.

I KNOW. I've been saying that since they announced the matches. Although to be honest, no one on the ROH roster right now would be believable enough to have a chance against Misawa.

Hah. I just watched Mickie James vs. Trish Stratus from WrestleMania. JR's comments towards Lawler are awesome. King says Mickie is unbalanced. JR says King would date her. JR then says that she's too old for him since she's in her early twenties.

Even if the pay check was enormously generious, one cannot put a price on an eye. Humans are sight orienated, so losing an eye would kind of be a big deal.

No, Mercury just had a ladder cave his face in.
