I was curious so I looked on Cagematch. Starting with SS 96 where he loses to Bret, Austin was never pinned on TV and only once on PPV where he lost to Undertaker the month after WM13. Any losses he had on TV were DQs, he lost at the Final Four PPV but that was getting thrown over the top rope and of course famously to Bret at WM13 where he passed out.

Vince Russo didn't think people wanted to see long wrestling matches for the sake of having long wrestling matches and that's a big part of what WWE television is these days. Just my opinion but I think he's 100 perfect right about that.

Yes it's legal but not if your doing it on company time. But like I said I'm not sure how that works with independent contractors. He could have ''freed'' himself by quiting if he it was really that bad. Most of these guys are full of shit.

I doubt that was why he was fired but I'd be curious to know more. No idea how it works with "independent contractors" but if he was lets say talking about a union while in the dressing room at a show then he kinda screwed himself.

It's funny but a few months a go I watched a bunch of RAWs from 1995 and found them somehow more fresh and interesting then current WWE stuff despite being over 25 years old.

I wasn't equating them as stars, my point was I don't see being in the main event as some sort of big accomplishment or anything. My point about Becky vs Charlotte was that Becky doesn't find herself in the main event without Rousey around. Ronda was what made the whole ''women's revolution'' real to Vince.

I don't know if they forgot how to do it as much as it's really not important. There whole business model is really just to put out as much ''content'' as possible. Ticket sales, buyrates, etc don't really matter anymore.

Doesn't matter he was still the WWE champ in the main event of WM. I mean lets be real without Ronda Rousey, Becky vs Charlotte wasn't gonna main event either.

The Miz main evented a WM. Nothing was impossible after that.
