I would have loved to see a run of this guy in his prime. He is an absolutely fascinating character. If he worked bigger territories, he'd be remembered as an all-time great. He seems like an awesome heat machine.

I just wanted to echo what others have said about his Puerto Rico stuff. It is top notch. I know most people know him from his Texas and Memphis runs which are great. But from what I can tell his truly best stuff was in PR. Embry is damn awesome.

Over the last couple days ESPN Classic aired a few of the USWA Texas episodes intertwined with the normal GWF episodes. They have shown some fun matches with Embry, Pritchard, Austin, Dundee, Gary Young, Jarret. They even had an Embry/Lawler cage match, which I'd never seen before.

It looks like ESPN Classic has started airing "new" episodes right now. I believe it is from the era of Manny Fernandez as booker. So far I've seen the Mike Davis to the moon angle, the Manuel Villalobos (sp?) angle, and the Tatum/Victory pizza angle. As far as I know, none of this had aired before on ESPN Classic.

I've watched the Embry/Corino shoot. I thought it was really, really great. I am an Embry mark, though. Corino does a very good job at being prepared. They sort of rush through the Dallas and Memphis stuff at the end. I assume it's because the thing was running so long.
