NXT Takeover Respect
I'm one of those people and I don't feel bad about it either. She might as well be Bayley's mascot at this point. They're constantly featuring her in video packages, she's always on-air on the show & I don't like to see any fan propped up like that, child or not. Same with Brock Lesnar guy or that stupid fucking clown or any of them. What, there's not other kids there that are fans of Bayley too? Like Bierschwale said, it's exploitive & it was the cool the first time to see genuine reactions like that. The fifth or sixth time, I just don't want to see it anymore. Stop using a kid as a prop.

NXT Takeover Respect
Well, it is still supposed to be a developmental show. They put Eva Marie on TV. Although at this point, it can be argued that NXT is its own brand and their PPVs are more about people like Bàlor, Joe, etc. with more experience. People like Corbin, Breeze, Eva & Alexa Bliss still get a lot of screen time. Agreed that The Mechanics still need a lot of polish. So do guys like Tye Dillenger. Giving them TV time can only help.

NXT Takeover Respect
I'm listening to that right now, Sek. I was so angry when they recommended Rhyno... it makes perfect sense. Ha! I had always assumed Joe would turn on Bàlor, but maybe the other way makes more sense. Also, I forgot to mention, which STR guys just reminded me, Dustin & Cody Rhodes are presenting the trophy to the winners of the tag tournament.

NXT Takeover Respect
Predictions: Bayley over Sasha 4-3 Jordan/Gable win tag tournament. Joe turns on Bàlor, hopefully in semi-finals not finals. I'd like to see the Mechanics make the finals. Asuka over Brooke maybe by DQ when Emma runs-in, but Asuka whoops 'em both. Breeze over Crewes? No clue on this one. Crewes needs to lose eventually. Breeze needs a win.

NXT Takeover Respect
Tonight is the next Takeover event for NXT on the WWE Network. Pretty stacked card, in my opinion, if you're a fan of the NXT shows. NXT Women's Championship: Bayley© Vs. Sasha Banks 30 Minute Ironman Match Dusty Rhodes Memorial Tag Team Classic Semi-Finals: Finn Bàlor & Samoa Joe Vs. Scott Dawson & Dash Wilder Dusty Rhodes Memorial Tag Team Classic Semi-Finals: Jason Jordan & Chad Gable Vs. Rhyno & Baron Corbin Dusty Rhodes Memorial Tag Team Classic Finals: The Winners of each Semi-Finals Asuka Vs. Dana Brooke Asuka (formerly Kana) in-ring NXT Debut Apollo Crews Vs. Tyler Breeze

WWE Talk October 5 to October 11
I was debating with myself the other day who I disliked more: Stephanie McMahon or Michael Cole. Stephanie McMahon is far & away the worst thing about the show...but Michael Cole is on the entire show. Steph is only in a few segments. She does more damage in those segments but Cole is just so grating & never goes away. Both should be gone.

WWE Talk October 5 to October 11
I just finished the WWE 24 show on NXT: Takeover Brooklyn. It was a good show, felt longer than the hour it was (not a knock/negative). It's surreal & weird to be in this era of kayfabe breaking as a wrestling fan though. Seeing Vince McMahon, Michael Hayes & Sara Del Rey standing around backstage, watching the wrestlers practice their entrances & break character by being friends backstage & what not. Definitely a different vibe. There has to be a way in the future where pro-wrestling can be presented where everyone still buys into the show, but without needing the negative stigma of "it's all fake" being around, ya know? With shows like these, who would still believe that what they're watching is real? I think the answer to the lull in wrestling involves a way of social media interaction with the stars & things like this show, where the fans all felt like part of the show & went along with them superstars on their journeys. I'll be damned if I have any sort of idea how it will all happen, mind you but I feel like wrestlers having Twitter accounts & PPVs now being on WWE Network is just the first step in a complete overhaul of how pro-wrestling is perceived, consumed & followed.

Well. RAW... *think positive* is over. Looking forward to NXT on Wednesday at least!

WWE Talk October 5 to October 11
I am genuinely curious if WWE is going to try to do anything "special" for RAW tonight as an answer to their low & dwindling rating. Just bringing back Brock Lesnar would not feel any different. I will laugh my ass off if the show opens with an Authority or Seth Rollins 15-minute promo. I don't think that it will happen anytime soon but Sin Cara is awful & I would like to see Kalisto get a single run for awhile on the main roster. A match between him & Adrian Neville would be really fun. I also think he could do cool things with the likes of Kevin Owens, Cesaro & even Sheamus. I would certainly put Lana back with Rusev as well. They messed up a good thing there. They need to kill this Seth Rollins/Kane crap as soon as possible.

Current New Japan
I would rather have a non-wrestling fan just translate what the Japanese commentators say. Striker is horrible. Kelly is too. I mean, when we're comparing the shit at the bottom of the barrel, does it matter what pecking order they're in? Cole, Striker, Kelly, Corino, Tenay, Saxton, Lawler, Graves, etc. None of them are any good.

How do you keep a character/wrestler fresh in this day & age of WWE? I don't even know what the solution to that problem is. They can't start putting guys (or gals) on part-time schedules. There's not some place you can send them...I mean we're not going to see Randy Orton go to NXT, right? Heel/Face alignments don't seem to change anything. Time away/off doesn't either. Look at Sheamus, Orton, Big Show... it doesn't matter if they're heel/face, get time off/injured, change from heel to face or vice-versa. They're so horribly overexposed I'm not sure there is a solution. WWE does have a ton of air to fill. They do burn through matches too quickly & then run them too often. I'm not sure what the solution is to keep guys interesting though.

A good promo at putting herself over the entire roster, making everyone else look feeble, then never having to worry about getting shown up. She does nothing but hurt the show & the roster.

Vince McMahon is a former Royal Rumble winner & World Heavyweight Champion, right? He certainly had his flaws too. Agreed early on he was a lot better though.

WWE Talk September 28 to October 4
NXT was pretty good last night. Especially as a go-home show for their PPV next week. My one complaint is that after Emma/Dana watched the Asuka video & slowly realized that Dana was in trouble, they should not have shown us the same video just a few minutes later. It killed the mystique, in my opinion. It felt like just leaving it to our imaginations would have been stronger. Instead, it was just Asuka kicking a heavy bag. I also like Tyler Breeze changing his finish. I never bought the Beauty Shot as a Flash KO move and too many people nowadays use a Superkick, so the switch to the Unprettier makes sense. Not like Christian is using it anymore. I really hope that the finals of the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic is The Mechanics Vs. Jordan/Gable. I don't want to see Joe/Finn make the finals. They're just boring. Honestly, Samoe Joe has been awful in NXT. He looks like crap, he's wrestling like he's stuck in molasses... I don't think he has any of the things left that made him unique or stand out previous in ROH. He's older, slower & fatter. I don't even buy him as an ass-kicker anymore. Loved him in ROH in 2005. Not so much in NXT in 2015. I'm exciting for next Wednesday.

But you know it wouldn't surprise you. That's the scary part. At any time Triple H could just win the WWE Title from whomever has it and would would all just sigh & shrug our shoulders. Which was how I felt when The Rock came back and beat C.M. Punk too.

Even the little things like changing the opening of the show, or the color of the ring ropes... little things like that can add some freshness. It was genuinely a breath of fresh air, the last two weeks, when it didn't open the show with an Authority or Seth Rollins 20-minute promo. I'm just so tired of ANYTHING involving Stephanie McMahon whatsoever. She should not be on television at all. Ever. She adds nothing to the show. She only detracts from everything & everyone.

Genuinely would not be surprised if Triple H beats Seth for the WWE Title around Royal Rumble time, so that Triple H Vs. The Rock (if it happens) will be for the title at Wrestlemania.

WWE Talk September 28 to October 4
Yeah. New Day answered the challenge, then had to choose which one of the three to wrestle. They chose Woods. Ref kicked Big E. & Kofi from ringside. Cena had Woods in the STF & was gonna beat him, so Big E. & Kofi ran back out to cause the DQ. Which made the Dudleys run out. That's how it became a 6-man tag. That all happened in the first 1/2 hour of the show & was easily the highlight of the night.

I feel bad if that's WWE's answer to bad ratings. There was some fun stuff. I genuinely enjoyed the first half hour. A lot of things felt different tonight. They were doing some squashes. Promos felt more natural.

WWE Network... It's Here
Ton of issues lately in Firefox. None of which occur in Chrome. It takes about three times as long to load intially. It stutters. Then when you try to full-screen the video, it just puts it in a box on the top left instead of going full-screen. Even after deleting cookies/cache, it still does it. I can watch it as normal in Chrome though, so it's a problem with Firefox, which I find odd.

Finlay vs Regal
He was pretty damn dull in New Japan when he toured in 93 or so, last time I checked. Again, in speaking about the people I'm referring to, they're not even going to know that New Japan exists, let alone watched it. Ya know? Like if we're talking people that on watch RAW or saw Nitro, I imagine quite a few would pick Finlay over Regal. But don't ask me to defend it, as I don't even believe it myself. Otherwise this thread was just going to be praising Regal again though.

Finlay vs Regal
I'll bite & play Devil's Advocate: I'll take Finlay for the reason that he isn't "boring" in the ring. His matches are always action-packed with impact moves, where as Regal works a more slow, methodical mat-based match, that will not be endearing to all fans. Had everyone else not already said Regal, I too would have probably taken him & I think he's the better over all pro-wrestler. I have, however, heard some friends of mine, that aren't as into wrestling as me, make similar comments around Regal being boring. The European style & a lot of the intricacies of the stretches & holds doesn't get picked up on by less hardcore fans. Genuinely enjoy both though & would take either one over a lot of other wrestlers.
