  1. I'm very new to this stuff but I thought I'd throw out two matches from the DVDR Best of NJPW 90's comp I just got. Jushin Liger vs. Owen Hart - 4/27/91 - TOSJ '91 I thought this match was really great. I liked Owen's top rope leapfrog to counter Ligers pre-emptive dropkick counter spot (wow that probably makes no sense). There was also the top rope electric chair drop and the brutal top rope DDT finish. Hiroshi Hase/Kensuke Sasaki vs. the Steiner Brothers - 3/21/91 - IWGP Tag Titles I don't recall any spots from this match as I haven't re-watched it like I did the Owen vs. Liger match. I had never really seen any Steiner bros. matches before, maybe one on a WWE DVD possibly but if I have I don't recall. Anyway it was a really impressive match, I new that the Steiner's were well regarded but this surpassed my expectations. One move that stands out for some reason is Scott doing a fall away slam type deal but instead of releasing he holds on and bridges to a pin, I don't know the name but it looked cool. I'll re-watch the match and edit my post if I feel I should add any stand out stuff. Edit: I just watched the match again, I must of mixed up matches as the bridging fall away slam isn't in this match. It's a good match none the less. Rick gets power slammed by Sasaki when he gets cute and tries a second leapfrog, then he eats a nasty looking lariat. Scott hits a top rope Angle slam which was cool and Rick laughing and shrugging he's shoulders like the dog in Whacky Races is good fun. Hase did a really lame looking big swing on Rick which blemished the match a bit but it was pretty minor. There was a painful looking double team move where Sasaki superplexed Hase onto one of the Steiner's (I think Rick). And that's my review, lol. I actually plan to re-watch most of what I'm watching now, for the last week (I've only just got back into wrestling after a couple of years of only following it through Meltzer and Alvarez instead of watching) or so I've watched at least two hours of wrestling a day and the matches tend to blend into one another. I want to re-watch stuff and take notes so I can write down descriptions/mini reviews so that they actually sink in. I can't really do it while watching stuff for the first time though as I'm not great at taking notes and it ruins seeing a match for the first time.
