Bobby Heenan RIP
On Warrior, play the averages. You never hear guys diss Heenan except for Warrior, same with Andre, same with Dibiase, same with any number of other guys he ran his mouth about. And this is an industry that has had a shoot culture for going on thirty years now.

Your "So So Good" Top 100 Matches of All Time
Well shit, I feel like I need to rewatch it then. That's so strange because when I first heard of it it had the 9/78 date. Parv has that listed in his 5 star matches list and then I found an AJ Classics disc on Lynch's list with the same date. I'll rewatch it. It should probably be on there anyway. Its Funks vs Abby/Sheik. You will know which match it is because it ends with Dory seeing red and Sheik doing an all-time epic sell job on his wrist. Bell-to-bell the 79 match is better, especially as a study in heel psychology. But as a complete spectacle and package, and as something that hits Magnum-Tully levels of transcendence, I'd always cite that 78 one, whatever the date is. It's listed in a lot of places as 9/19/78, including on Highspots DVDs and Mid-Atlantic Gateway, but the date could be 12/9/78, which I think it probably is. I have the match here somewhere, I could throw it up if anyone is interested.

Your "So So Good" Top 100 Matches of All Time
Certainly interesting that he put Funks vs Sheik and Abby above virtually every major AJPW classic.

Mayweather vs McGregor
I don't understand how a single person thinks McGregor can win this. Build has been extremely pro wrestling.

Learning to Love Dory
As I recall, I for those dates from here: http://www.midatlanticwrestling.net/resourcecenter/results/pages/results_funkjr.htm NWA Western States: 09/01 Lubbock, TX Mr. Pogo & Adrian Adonis beat Dory Funk, Jr. & Super Destroyer 09/14 Amarillo, TX Dory, Jr & Terry Funk beat David & Kevin Von Erich by DQ All Japan Pro Wrestling: 09/19 ??, Japan Terry Funk & Dory Funk, Jr. vs. Abdullah the Butcher & The Sheik 09/21 ??, Japan Dory Funk, Jr. & Terry Funk vs. Nick Bockwinkel & Blackjack Lanza Central States Wrestling: 10/07 Des Moines, IA Bob Orton, Jr. beat Dory Funk, Jr. by DQ Big Time Wrestling: 10/08 Detroit, MI Dory Funk, Jr. beat Rick Martel I did wonder why those matches happened in September rather than December which is the usual RWTL. This would make sense. But both those matches are on tape, I watched them. Bock and Lanza worked AJPW in 78, so it was definitely that year. It'll be the one on Dailymotion listed for December.

What if....Sting was the 3rd man in the NWO?
On the plus side, I doubt he makes the HoF twenty years later.

What If: ...The WWF Signs Ric Flair in 1988
People seem to have overlooked the fact that Arn and Tully were there in 88/89 and so you could have the amazing prospect of Bobby Herman leading a Four Horsemen with Ted DiBiase in the 4th slot. If nothing else, the prospect of a Survivor Series against Hogan, Savage, Warrior, and Jake would have been something.
-
What If: Tatsumi Fujinami left NJPW in 1984?
The matches with Yatsu, Jumbo, Tenryu, Hansen, Baba, Flair, Martel, Terry, and Dory Funk Jr would all be worth it.

Has any other top star had such a lackluster career like Orton?
If Orton had had Dory's career 69-82 he would have ranked GWE top 50.
-
Has any other top star had such a lackluster career like Orton?
I'd find it impossible to love anyone who rates Chono.
-
Has any other top star had such a lackluster career like Orton?
Guys I'd take Orton over in a heartbeat: Pedro Morales - fucking sucked and sucked hard for a long time. Masa Chono - almost no redeeming features. Jeff Hardy - at least Orton is a wrestler not an acrobat pretending to be a wrestler I'd take Orton over most of those guys for the finish of the Seth Rollins match from WM31 alone.

The greatest match of all time
One of the little issues I have with people citing Lawler / Dundee as "perfect" ... isn't it clipped?
