Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
I think Ric Stuart was there by then? And Thatcher had left? I think so. KrisZ should be able to clarify but I am pretty sure it was Platt/Stuart by July 1983. Excellent, thanks

Who was announcing in Southeastern in 1983, Charlie Platt and Thatcher still?

Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
You'd mess with the Armstrong vs. Fullers, Hatfields vs. McCoys dynamic Johnny, Davey & Scott Armstrong as The Party Boys in 1988 is the worst pretty boy babyface group I've ever seen. Especially with Scott wearing his big Coke bottle glasses on TV all the time. Luckily I think young Haskins doesn't debut until 1984, so will have to get back to the drawing board. Just out of interest where do I stand with Ron Fuller is he my owner?

Very true, maybe I'll bring in Johnny Rich and Dave Haskins and have Southeastern version of the Von Erichs...

Draft discussion, analysis and trash talk
I think one weeks telly would of been just the Fabs trying to make their way to the ring through the studio audience. Will have to get creative in making a pretty boy face team now...

I was after both Express's and the Fabs with my next pick, will look forward to seeing tag divisions build around these teams...

Just to clarify, do our save picks have to be someone from the initial rosters listed by KrisZ? Or can the be anyone?

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
If it's sort of 11pm English time that would make it 6pm eastern? Edit: really stating the obvious, sorry.

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
My top 3 would be Southeastern, Memphis, Portland in no particular order if I'm totally honest. Also just a heads up for those who don't know, I live in the UK and the time difference may be an issue for drafts etc...

In - I'd prefer to do a smaller promotion like southeastern if possible

Draft & ongoing booking project interest?
I'd be happy to book a smaller promotion on the list like ICW or Southeastern rather than one of the bigger promotions.

What are you watching?
Just out of interest what filled the void between this closing down and Smokey opening up in 1991?

What are you watching?
Just started wading through this and thought exactly the same thing in terms of this and Smokey Mountian has a very similar look and feel. Buddy Landell and his loaded glove is a nice simple gimmick that seems to work very well here, and his promos are great. But your right Ron Wright seems to have his role down to a tee as Stomper and Dog manager. Very true about Davis and Lane, it's probably why Davis is the only person to ever sit down out of the two with Solie for their promos and Lane just stands in the back ground looking mean. The Rich boys look like they will have the hands full with the RPM's. I've personally never seen much of Hector, let alone pictured him as a heel, seems a useful addition to the upper midcard . Looking at the ring girl, can only imagine how dire this contest will be when I get to it. Not only plug it but remind everyone they must be 180 pounds at least as they will naturally put on 30-40 pounds while they train in the gym. But overall enjoying the product, Bullet Bob and Superkick Scott are great faces and Terry Gordy must be scaring the shit out of the local after that hype video of him charging into Japanesse fans in All Japan.
