What are your favorite or what you think are the best southern brawls ever?
I wanted to make this favorite brawls ever but that can be pretty vague so i went the southern route. For me there's nothing I love more than seeing Terry Funk or Jerry Lawler go punch for punch with a motherfucker from the trailer park. I also love the southern stereotypical stuff like chains in the trunks and throwing powder in the eyes. Some of my favorite matches are the Funk/Lawler series, The Dustin Rhodes/Stud Stable stuff and the Lawler/Moondogs stuff. What are some other favorites or best of all time? Doesn't necessarily have to be contested I'm the south either example being Rich/Funk from ECW

Wrestling Culture Episode 50
This is kind of funny, because Bret v. Arn was a comparison I mentioned when discussing Bret on the show The comparison is valid to me Bret could've been an Arn type had the steroid stuff not happened. On the other hand I don't know if Arn could've done what Bret did in the spotlight as far as carrying the company for a short period and carrying bad workers to great matches. Not saying he couldnt because we've seen Arn have fun matches with guys like Badd and Renegade but not the same level. I plan on listening to show in the next day or so, should be interesting.

Wrestling Culture Episode 50
Seeing that the topic was in ring did you guys include Bret? I could see Arn being omitted although not for me personally but could not see the case for Bret not being there if he isn't

Married with kids? When do you have time to watch?
I'm married and have an eight month old. I try to squeeze in an hour a night during the week. My wife and daughter fall asleep at 10 so from 10 to 11 I watch. Then on the weekend I watch as much as I can at various points of the day

[1997-02-24-WCW-Nitro] Eddy Guerrero & Chris Jericho vs Meng & Barbarian
The top rope belly to belly is an awesome spot. One of my favorite hidden gem matches

Comments that don't warrant a thread - Part 3
So a former WWE developmental guy, forget his name at the moment, just murdered his girlfriend here in Tampa. Just caught it on the local news during lunch

Totally random but its killing me. Who used to perform the top rope leg drop where the guy would pull his ankle to his calf in mid air before hitting the leg drop

[1997-02-17-WCW-Nitro] Steven Regal vs Prince Iaukea
I was here live for this Nitro....well sort of. It was held at the fair grounds here in Tampa and we were at the fair but couldn't get tickets in time. Me and my buddy eventually found the wrestlers exit and got to see Jericho, Juvy, and an unmasked Rey to whom I yelled at, Hey that's Rey!!! Don't ask me how I knew I was probably guessing but no one noticed until I said it again and he covered his face causing a sea of people to run towards him. Poor guy.

[1997-10-13-WCW-Nitro] Scott Hall & Syxx vs Rick & Scott Steiner
I was here live for this Nitro and this tag match had the crows going nuts. Even better that it was Waltman and Hall defending. The crotched bronco buster spot got over huge with me and my other 11 yr old friends. I can remember getting into a big WCW/NWO dueling chant. On a side note Bubba the Love Sponge who at the time was about 450 lbs wrestled either Knobs or Jimmy Hart j can't remember. The funniest part was him needing a step ladder to get into the ring from the side.

[1997-03-23-WWF-Wrestlemania XIII] Bret Hart vs Steve Austin (I Quit)
My favorite match of all time. Worked so smartly and the double turn was flawless. It felt like a blow off match but it actually kicked the feud into the next gear making for an awesome Canada/US dynamic. My favorite feud of all time as well
